Clancy's is an excellent local establishment that is dependably consistent for great food, quick service, and a warm atmosphere. There's a wide range of food options, indoor/outdoor seating, and usually you can convince the bartender to put hockey on at least one tv.

This could be a solid 4 star place if their service was better. It appears you have to be a regular to get solid service. We had to wait a bit for service - even though there were only 4 other tables and 3 servers. No one checked on us after the food was brought and we had to flag down someone to get more water and our check. Meanwhile the servers were camped out at tables of people they knew. I had the burger and he had the Irish dip. Both were good. I wished I had seen the fries before I order them extra. They are the greasy limp fries rather than crisp and salty. Table next to us had breakfast that looked great. I'd go back to try that and see if service was just having an off day. It's a typical looking Irish Bar with lots of dark wood and a separate bar.

Well Clancy's is super relaxed but unfortunately that came across in the service. It wasn't great. We waited a LONG TIME for our server to refill our drinks and then my friend got chips and salsa and the chips were just awful. I would 100% call it a dive bar but I have one a lot closer to me that I can get a better selection of drinks and beers and get great service too. Sorry Clancy's. Y'all missed the mark.

Had a great service at the bar. The place filled up this Friday night which means things must be good. Food, service, music, TV, drinks etc. We had a small chicken strip appetizer for $5 with fries. Not great but what we expected for $5. It filled the hole in our belly so we could get more booze. Lots of seating in this old school Irish Pub. Very cool vibe for sure . I hear the clam chowder is great but didn't have any. Street parking and private lots availble close by.

My wife and I had an excellent lunch on a beautiful day at Clancy's yesterday. We were driving the wine country enjoying the fall foliage, and after enjoying some wine at Raptor Ridge, we selected Clancy's for a mid-afternoon lunch. The weather was 80 degrees and we sat outside on the welcoming patio. Deborah was extremely friendly and genuinely engaging. My wife had a Gardenburger with Cajun tator tots. She loved it. I had the fresh Halibut sandwich on a hoagie. It came with the classic potato chips which was a perfect accompaniment. I also had the clam chowder as Deborah had recommended it, it was also very good. What really stood out was the incredibly softness of the hamburger bun and my hoagie. I understand they come from Portland French.

So we've been checking out the Happy Hour scene in and around Sherwood, this day it was Clancy's. I've seen some poor reviews regarding service, but our server was really good - funny & friendly. The Happy Hour menu offers few choices - in our party, it was only the fish and chips - NW halibut & fries, that were ordered off the HH menu. It was a decent size serving and the fish tasted fresh and had that crunch I like. Otherwise, 2 patty melts and a cheeseburger were ordered. These come with chips - as in a small bag of Lay's classic plain chips. You can get fries or tots for a $3 up-charge and rings for more. The melts were a single small patty-I would suggest adding another patty for $3 to make a decent burger. The cheeseburger was good, not anything special. Drinks were had, but not by me, so I can't speak on that. As the sun was setting, it was blindingly bright at the table in the back and no way to stop the sun. Our server kindly stood for a few minutes and blocked it for us! Also at the table in the back, the seat cushions sunk so low we practically had our chins at the table top. Overall, the food was okay, service was great but we see no reason to return to Clancy's.

Love a place to go for good wings. The vibe is chill, and full of locals. Sit where you want, service is fast and good. I love all the options on the menu, and it's definitely not just bar food. It's great food, in a bar. We also had nachos which were great, but I forgot to take a picture.

An impromptu stroll thru Sherwood led us to Clancy's. Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond. They brought water for our dog and checked on us several times throughout our meal. I enjoyed the Cobb salad with a warm roll and butter. We also ordered the patty melt and it was delicious. The French fries may have been slightly undercooked but they were edible and flavorful. Didn't see the inside but it was nice to sit outside in the shade on a warm day.

Ashley is the very best bartender/server in Oregon. Go to Clancy's, sit at the bar & laugh with her until your face hurts.

He gave us menus & said we could sit wherever we wanted, he showed us where their water station is in case we wanted water. Our server, Amber, came by & introduced herself and the bartender- I thought that was a nice touch to introduce the bartender. Having been a server for over 37 years, I really like it when staff work together & take care of each other! She asked if we wanted any beverages, my daughter ordered coffee & I said I was just going to grab a water- she said she would bring it to me. My daughter ordered corned beef hash & a gluten free english muffin- she was thrilled to have a gf option! I ordered the country benedict. Our food came out looking REALLY good, the potatoes were nice & golden brown. We both ordered our poached eggs medium & that is exactly how they came out. Everything was very delicious & the portions were large- we both need to-go boxes. The coffee was refilled 3 or 4 times without having to ask. They actually smoke their meats out on their patio which we thought was cool! The place was nice & clean, the staff was friendly & knowledgeable. Kudos to Amber, the bartender, & the chef! The only thing I didn't like was if you use a credit/debit card there is a fee. I very much recommend Three Mermaids!

We have always been fans of the McMenamins family of restaurants, hotels, and bars. After living in…read morethe Pacific Northwest for many years, we had the chance to visit quite a few of their locations and have always admired their unique approach to hospitality. One of the things we appreciate most is how McMenamins thoughtfully rehabilitates historic properties, preserving their character while giving them new life as welcoming places to gather. Each location seems to have its own personality and story, which makes visiting them feel special. Today, we had the opportunity to stop by this location, which we had not visited before. We were only planning to grab a quick lunch/dinner and get back on the road, so we didn't explore the property or dive into its history on this visit, but it's clearly a place worth spending more time at in the future. For our meal, my wife ordered a salad, I ordered a pizza, and we shared a side of Cajun tots with their housemade Ranch. Everything was enjoyable and hit the spot for a casual, satisfying stop. We'd happily return when we have more time to take in the full experience. A few things we've noticed over the years from our experiences with McMenamins: Many of their establishments introduce you to pieces of history you never really knew existed. There's often a surprising depth to the stories behind the properties, and even a quick visit can leave you wanting to learn more. Their beer can be very tasty and original, with a variety of offerings that feel thoughtfully crafted and true to their brand. As for the food, it generally lands in the realm of upscale bar fare, or perhaps bar food that wants to be upscale. Most menus are fairly similar from location to location. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and enjoyable; it just sometimes feels like it's presenting itself as something a bit more elevated than it actually is. The pricing tends to follow that same pattern, occasionally feeling a bit ambitious for what's being served. Service can be great, but it can also be hit or miss, and it's wise to be prepared to wait a little longer than expected at times. That said, the atmosphere and grounds at many of their locations are truly outstanding. You can wander the properties for quite a while at many of their locations and still not see everything. The level of detail throughout, both inside and out, is often absolutely amazing and is what really sets McMenamins apart.
