Sadly, the selection for dogs was terrible this time. There were only a couple of things for dogs. And none in XS for my puppy. I was sad. While I tend to prefer the simplicity of the 1837 collection, it was interesting to find the item as the cuff is no longer carried as part of the Atlas line. It was more than a little frustrating that it took me telling my husband that the bracelet matches my watch before the woman working in the store bothered to acknowledge us. We left. I told my husband I was considering purchasing the cuff as a birthday present for myself...but couldn't imagine spending my money in a location who took one look at my husband and myself and decided we couldn't afford anything in the store.

The price was reasonable at $12 each, especially for being on the mountain. The nursery area had only a small selection of plants and was mostly empty, so not sure if that part of the business is in transition at the moment. We have shopped the nursery in the past and they had different offerings from the other nurseries, which we enjoyed. This boutique is really a fun place to shop for out of towners, too!

I am the worst shopper in the world for clothes. We were taking a short vacation in Lake Arrowhead…read moreand wandering around the village enjoying the lake, and low and behold a Van Heusen Factory Outlet store popped up across from the chocolate store. Well after getting some fudge we popped in to check it out, and I was pretty much blown away by the sale they were having and I believe this is a fairly ongoing thing. So, I needed a new wardrobe badly and I had this one shirt that I loved dearly by Izod, which was bought out by Van Heusen some years back, and I tried to find more of this shirt. We asked the lady at the counter to check on it, and unfortunately they didn't carry these any longer, but she pointed out some other shirts I might like. So, we meandered around the store and found these polo type shirts. They came in all the main colors and sizes. Very stocked and the shirts were actually really nice. The lady stayed with us and even helped me pick out a color to match me. Heck, I am pale as a ghost and a couple of the shirts looked decent holding them up. She was super nice, easy going, and we laughed about my old outfit and what I wore. My girlfriend is always trying to dress me better. hahaha Ok, ok enough chit chat. Jeanine was her name and she was really, really helpful. I never try on shirts, but being that we were out of town, I decided to. It fit perfectly and felt great and when i came out both my girlfriend and Jeanine thought it looked good on me. It did! So, I decided to buy two shirts, blue and black. I also needed a pair of pants, and they had these super comfy looking casual wear pants and I tried those on, and they actually had my exact size. I have never really found my perfect size before, since i like things baggy and also not too long in length. Well, they had 36 by 29. We bought a Khaki colored pants. Almost everything in the store was 70% off and some items were 80% off. We went back to the hotel and went out to dinner, me wearing my new outfit. I looked good and I felt really comfy, and comfy to me is the most important thing. The prices for the shirts were $11 dollars. I mean seriously! The pants were $16. What a deal. Next day, we were going on a boat tour which found us right near the outlet again, and I thought, what the heck, lets go back and I will complete my casual wardrobe. So we bought two more shirts, and two more pants. All of this cost a little over $100, give or take. It was amazing. On the second day we got to meet both Val and Emily. They helped us out and they were so friendly and we actually took a photo with them and me in the middle for them to upload somewhere on their website. How is that for customer service. I did attach a few photos of the store and them as well. I have never had a better and easier day shopping in my entire life, so this gets 5 stars for the great customer service, the clothes they had in stock that fit me, and the prices. There are a few of these outlets scattered around, but hey, if you ever make it down to Lake Arrowhead, check out this store and in if you need some casual wear, do it. It is such a great deal. Oh yea, I forgot, I also bought two belts (2-PAC) actually that were women's belts. They fit me better than the men's belts and cost a lot less and were super thin, which I like. I can't say enough positive things about this store, so with that, happy shopping! Thank you so much Val and Emily for making our stay there so wonderful.
