Adorable store! When visiting Lake Arrowhead, hitting Big on Bears is a must! They always have the cutest matching family pjs and socks. They sell slippers, shirts and jackets too! My favorite part about this store is the dog clothes. Usually, you can find onesies for doggies. Plus, matching onesies for the human! lol I was so excited to buy a onesie for my new puppy. Sadly, the selection for dogs was terrible this time. There were only a couple of things for dogs. And none in XS for my puppy. I was sad. I really wanted a onesie for my pups and matching ones for me and my husband. I'm hoping this was just a fluke that the doggy section was thin/ almost nonexistent. Prices are a bit steep. Cute little store that has a lot of clothing & other items with bears on them. Very rustic bear themed items which I think we can all agree we love seeing that especially in the mountains. Prices were reasonable to high because of the specialty items you won't find anywhere nearby especially in California but it was very doable. The older lady that helped us was very sweet and helpful. Definitely worth a looksy if you're visiting up there. read more

Needed some souvenirs for my visit. This shop was warm and inviting. SHELLY was so nice and helpful to me on arrival and check out. This store has everything Bear. The quality of the selection is anywhere. No junk and tacky items here. The photos you see big families take in pajamas for winter holiday season; this is the spot to get every size and color to make that memorable time epic. I needed a warm blanket for a local outdoor event, and on a whim thought I'd try this shop rather than the more costly Pendleton. I almost didn't as I'm not into teddy bears and bear merchandise, but found the name is somewhat deceiving. The friendly owner was very helpful and showed us the two types of blankets they had. We chose a fantastic "sweatshirt blanket" made of heavy sweatshirt fabric, a nice large size that came in many colors. I was happily surprised about the affordable price. She also showed us the sample one that had been washed to see that they wear well. There is also a great variety of hats, fun socks, novelty slippers, onesie pajamas, sweatshirts etc. for infant to adult sizes, along with lots of other nice gift items. Although it's in the village among all the touristy shops, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. I'm glad I decided to check it out and will return next time I'm in town. read more

I made two trips to this store during our 4 night visit to lake arrowhead. They have an incredible selection of pajamas and slippers for all ages. They must have every item that Lazy One brand offers, from throw blankets to many styles and prints of pajama sets and separates to the cutest dog bandanas, plus some items that say Lake Arrowhead that were probably produced specifically for this store. I bought a soft throw blanket for my mom and she is in heaven. I picked put two pairs of super soft slippers, a tank top and more for myself. I'm super happy with all my purchases. I'd buy PJs for my growing kids here regularly if I were a local. Prices are what you'd find on Amazon, maybe even a little lower. They don't have a dressing room and they don't do refunds - just exchanges, so I tried things on over my base layer pants and sports bra. Good thing because the bottoms I tried on ran large. The gals working there were very helpful when I had questions, no complaints about customer service here! read more

Wife and I were in the area so we looking a many of the shops, Ladies behind the counter did not look like they wanted to be there, they have lots of stuff in the store much of which was bear related, mostly clothes and some decorator items, I was really looking for some carved wooden bears but they didn't have too many, they had other carved plaques on the walls, nothing that really caught my eye. The prices are on the high side. read more

CUTEST STORE EVER! Plus the staff were very friendly and greeted my daughters and I with a genuine warm welcome. My girls bought very cute and surprisingly reasonable t-shirts. We were there for the weekeend visiting my uncle who has a cabin there and will be back in a few weeks. Always a must stop whenever we are in Lake Arrowhead Village. Nice clothing for all ages which of course have a bear/moose or other forest creature theme. We've decorated our cabin with several items from the store and we've often purchased the clothing items as gifts for friends and family. We always chat with the helpful staff. We've been there often enough they remember us and even remembered when I came in to buy six blankets for the coldest "Summer Concert" event for our guests. We even enjoy the music playing. Sold me a broken item which I didn't notice. I brought it back the next day as soon as I saw the damage. The back Of the item was broken but the front was good so I didn't notice the crack and the owner was trying to convince me that I did the damage and that there is no way his staff would have packed a broken item. He tried really hard to not give my money back. Basically told me I damaged it in less than 24 hours. I bought a lot of things from this place and was planning on getting more items. But will not go to this store again. read more

This is a wonderful store filled with all kinds of cute mountain type clothes and accessories. I just bought a wonderful robe and it's so warm, yet very light weight. They also have children's and baby clothing. If you are up in Arrowhead you should drop by. It's lots of fun to look around and see all the cool "mountain" things. They don't seem to have any sales though, not even on holidays. But the prices are reasonable. read more

I've been coming to vacation at lake Arrowhead for years today we decided to walk the stores at the village and seen this particular gift shop. The kids quickly tossed any left over ice cream they had just to go in and have a look as were walking in there were two older ladies behind the counter one assisting a customer while the other stared at us with so much hate! As we walk in towards the hanging pajamas (my two little boys holding my hands) I over heard the lady with black hair and glasses tell the blonde heavy set one "I'm sorry I just need to watch them" I turned over and see the two employees along with the couple they were tending to turn and give us a disgusted look, never have I felt such disrespect in my life. I got my boys and I walked out while my sister who was still in the store told the lady we had money and would take it elsewhere we had no bags no backpacks nothing we could possibly give her reason to believe we'd be stealing anything. We're honest respectful people and to be embarrassed and disrespected by the employees IN FRONT of customers was beyond humiliating. Sad that my boys had to experience the racist stereotype. Totally disgusted by the older lady who should know a little more about how to run a business. read more

(It gets one star because I'm forced to put one.) This store has a no refund policy. My husband bought me pajamas for Christmas that I won't wear. He tried to return the item the day after Christmas but was told their policy at that point. They did NOT tell him this policy when he purchased the pjs. NOR was anything posted in the store. The rude woman who "helped" him pointed to the bottom of the receipt which says "no refunds." Ummm once you have the receipt, it's a done deal. Pointless and unfair sales practice. My husband has been in retail for almost 30 years. He's never seen a no refund policy when the customer has the receipt (unless there was a time limit). So rather than helping the customer, who, by the way, is a local, they prefer to lose our business and anyone else we may speak to about this. I don't need an exchange for more bear decor. I would appreciate our money back for an item I unboxed on Christmas and immediately attempted to return. It was purchased on Christmas Eve for Pete's sake! NOT shopping here again. read more

We live in Lake Arrowhead and always buy our family all christmas PJS and always PJS and sweatshirts through the years. The last time I went in in summer the lady with the dark hair and glasses approach us (all adults 40-50-60 yrs of age) arms full of purchases. My sister had a piece of candy from the chocolate factory and just finished. She told her to please don't touch anything in the store. Talked to her like a 5 yr old and scolded her to the point her husband handed her their purchases and left. The rest of us also. It was like we were some sort of low lives. She continued to follow the rest of us and therefore we left our purchases. I cannot give them no stars because the review will not allow however, she does not deserve the one star I had to give to post my review. read more

Shameful customer service provided by the manager. We purchased several items of clothing for our family while on vacation in Lake Arrowhead. The next morning we noticed a large hole along a seam in the brand new sweatshirt we purchased for my wife. We went to return it and were told "no returns - exchanges only." I explained that there was nothing else in the store that we wanted, and that we had paid for a new, undamaged sweatshirt and received a damaged sweatshirt. The manager didn't care, and abruptly cut me off when I tried to explain that: 1) she couldn't force us to exchange it for something we didn't want; and 2) her store policy violated the basic rules of a contract - we held up our end of the bargain (by paying for a new sweatshirt) and she didn't (by providing a damaged sweatshirt). The manager became very angry and told us she was not going to allow us to return it. During her angry tirade, she had the gall to tell me she runs a "mom and pop" business and her customer service is excellent. I was shocked at her reaction, to say the least. I would much rather support a mom-and-pop shop than a huge corporation (I could have purchased these same items at Amazon, and I wish I had). However, the manager of this mom-and-pop shop should be ashamed of herself. It was a needlessly painful customer service experience. read more
