Located in Arrowhead Village, this shop is half full of all sorts of things dancers would need as there is a dance school housed next door. The other half of the store is foofy-cutsie stuff; knick knacks and gift items. Stuff you don't need but you still want. I visited here twice in the past three months as my wife found some ornate brass frames she really liked. She had been searching for something like that for a long time and they had exactly what she was envisioning. I found the store to be neat and tidy and the staff - different on both visits - to be very helpful with pleasant dispositions, providing great customer service. Although it's not the type of store I spend much time browsing in, I appreciated the variety of unique items it offers. read more

I wanted to share an experience we had today. Store in village by dance studio. I have 3-year-old twins who recently started ballet, and we came to the store specifically to look for ballerina dolls and tutus. When we first walked in, my girls were finishing a protein bar "cause they have roaches" and we were asked to step outside while they finished eating, which I completely understood. When we came back in, an employee asked what we were looking for and I mentioned ballerina dolls and tutus. She followed us over to the doll section. My girls immediately recognized the dolls and one of them picked one up and she took it out of her hand. The employee quickly told her "no, no, no" and said she didn't want them to get dirty. It was honestly so upsetting. We came in specifically to purchase those items, and being told my children couldn't even pick one up felt very unwelcoming. We've visited this store before, but after that experience we we'll not be returning. read more

We stopped in here to this local shop for the first time last month and found it to be a good place to shop for female and kids/grandkids gifts. Cute costume jewelry, scented items, garden decor, that kind of thing. Good selection of ballet garments and pointe shoes, which is handy for the ballet studio next door. I didn't find anything essential for me on this day, but will be back in the future should I need a cute gift for a friend or neighbor lady. read more

Came here to look around. Immediately had the owner following me and my sister around the store. We were looking for a journals / sketchpads as professional artists and as soon as we left that area she went over and counted how many journals were left then proceeded to yell across the store if they sold any journals today. It was clear she was assuming we stole the bee journal that was "missing". This was 100% a case of racial profiling read more

I came here with a friend of mine because I remembered they had some cute stuff. I'm expecting a niece in a few months and wanted to see if I could find anything for her. A lot of the price tags are hand written on very tiny pieces of paper attached by a string. I was looking at a few things that caught my interest, as well as holding a music box that I was buying for myself, when an older woman working at the store approached me and my friend and very rudely asked if we needed help with anything. By this time we were already on our way out and replied with a no thanks. She proceeded to yell at us "lets not go around touching everything then!" I found this incredibly rude and unprofessional. Not only were we paying customers, but the only things we were touching were the price tags. Her attitude was extremely condescending, treating us as if we were unsupervised children. I wish I would have never given them my business. I will never be shopping there again even though I am a local and live in the area. read more

What a wonderful store and so many unique gift items. Pointe shoe fittings are customized and so hard to find elsewhere. Great selection of dancewear and always has friendly service. Will be back! read more

Looking for a souvenir or a gift? Tucked away downstairs, along the water, is the most delightful store to look through!!! As I walked by the window, all the beautiful items, including an adorable children's book, caught my eye right away and I stepped into a lovely store!! So many wonderful gift items to browse through....I found myself enchanted by everything. I then had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Sharon, who is such a delightful lady. this place is really cute, i used to be a dancer/figure skater and adored all the little things in this shop. i'm a tourist, and was looking exactly for something like this. very sadly one star and some heartbreak because staff broke laws from the ADA, in attempting to refuse service to me based on a disability / making my boyfriend sit outside with my service dog...humiliating and cruel. the clerk had her own dog too, and was holding it when attempting to kick me out of the store. yikes. my dog was clearly marked as a service animal, and was not acting out of line although she is a larger dog. please train your staff. this behavior is illegal and discriminatory, and can subject your business to lawsuits. if you or someone you love has a disability, please go somewhere else. read more

We were treated horribly by the store clerk, who had a sassy attitude with my husband. When I informed her that her tone lost the store a sale I was informed that she didn't care. I'm sure the owners would have. Our family is a ballet family, and we've never been treated so shabby. I guess we'll continue to frequent the ballet stores in Los Angeles and Pasadena. Too bad since we're regularly up in Arrowhead visiting grandparents. read more

Located next to the Lake Arrowhead School of Dance in Lake Arrowhead Village, you will find a great selection of quality dance wear, dance shoes, in addition to handbags, jewelry, and lovely gifts for the home. The owner and Director of the dance school, Sharon, has many years of experience fitting ballet dancers with pointe shoes. Sharon spends a lot of time making sure your dancer is fitted with the best possible shoes for their foot. She is extremely knowledgable and safety oriented when it comes to finding the best shoe fit and carries many excellent brands of shoes. I just had my daughter fitted for her first pair of pointe shoes at the boutique and felt fortunate that she was being fitted by someone so knowledgable.
