We hired Craig Yorizane of Avner Gat, Inc. after our home was badly damaged in the January 2025…read moreEaton Fire. The damage was extensive: structural issues, asbestos and lead contamination, and a destroyed yard wall. Our insurance company has repeatedly undervalued the claim. Craig's background as a former insurance company adjuster made a real difference. He understands how carriers evaluate and negotiate claims, and he uses that knowledge well. What stood out most was his temperament. He's level-headed and patient, and he never lets things get emotional. He simply documents where the insurer got it wrong and holds them to the law. His persistence paid off. We've secured the funding to remove the lead and asbestos as well as bring our roof and HVAC back to pre-loss condition with more to come. If you're facing a difficult property claim, especially after a fire, we strongly recommend Craig. He's clear, strategic, and effective.

From the moment we called Avner Gat, everything changed. They stepped in as our advocate and immediately began moving the claim forward. Craig Yorizane took the time to explain the entire process, set realistic expectations, and guide us through every step. Craig worked incredibly hard and was thoughtful and strategic in handling our claim. He anticipated potential setbacks before they happened and was prepared to address them. When delays required our temporary housing to be extended several times, Craig stayed on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of. He consistently went above and beyond for us. What stood out most was that we genuinely felt Craig was looking out for our best interests. He was knowledgeable, responsive, honest, and professional throughout an extremely stressful situation. His crew is professional, punctual, and patient. I'm an over-planner and worrier, but Danny and Daniel were always patient, kind, and thorough in their explanations, putting my mind at ease. Frank was also always accessible over the phone and text message if I had additional questions about scheduling and the scope of work. The company also offers general construction services, and Frank offered a bid to patch an exterior stucco wall that our plumber had to get into. Based on our positive experience with the concurrent moisture mitigation work, we decided to contract with Frank on the patching project, too. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to work with Frank and his team again. I highly recommend Save The Day Restoration!

He took the time to carefully review my governing documents with me and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. I did not feel rushed, and he patiently answered all of my questions during a consultation that he provided. What impressed me most was that he wasn't trying to pressure me into hiring him. Instead, he genuinely wanted to help me understand my situation. He even offered to review mitigation estimates to make sure the scope of work was appropriate. It's rare to find someone who is both knowledgeable and willing to help without expecting anything in return. If I ever need a public adjuster in the future, he will absolutely be the first person I call. Thank you Vincent for your professionalism, honesty, and generosity with your time!

This was surprising, especially given that all adjusters are also overwhelmed with work during the Eaton and Palisade fire crisis. While the state does not explicitly cap public adjuster fees at a specific percentage, it indirectly limits the amount they can charge by ensuring the insured receives the full settlement amount offered by the insurer prior to any contract with the public adjuster. For residential claims, industry practice in California typically caps public adjuster fees at 10%, though this specific percentage may not be directly stated in Section 15027. A public adjuster quoting 20% for a residential claim may be considered unreasonable or exploitative, particularly during a crisis.

We worked with Sasha Mikhailpoor for over 1.5 years (!!) following the Eaton Fire, and I honestly…read moredon't know how we would have navigated the process without him. Our situation was incredibly unusual. Our home had significant smoke damage but remained standing, while every other house on our block had completely burned down. It was an unprecedented situation for homeowners and insurance companies alike, and there simply wasn't a clear playbook for how to handle it. One of the biggest things we learned is just how difficult the insurance process is to navigate on your own. Even if you consider yourself a smart, logical, resourceful person, and even with tools like AI at your disposal, there is an enormous difference between reading your policy and understanding how to effectively navigate a complex claim. Having an experienced and, most importantly, honest public adjuster advocating on your behalf is invaluable. Sasha was communicative, thoughtful, thorough, and incredibly detail-oriented throughout. He consistently went above and beyond. If an estimate or quote didn't accurately reflect the work that needed to be done, for example, he proactively sought out additional quotes from reputable third parties rather than putting that burden back on us. Just as importantly, he took an enormous amount of stress off our shoulders. We didn't have to spend our time calling the insurance company, sitting on hold, chasing responses, trying to understand every piece of the process, or constantly figuring out how to advocate for ourselves. Sasha handled those details, explained things clearly, and was a steady advocate for us throughout an incredibly difficult situation. After more than a year and a half of working together, we came to really trust Sasha's judgment and integrity. We're incredibly grateful to have had him on our side and would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone facing a complicated insurance claim.

The Property Claims Consultants team was super efficient in getting the insurance to respond and finally accept the higher estimate of the damages. Following super nice and capable Cooper Ogle who unfortunately moved back to Texas one month after being assigned to us, Anoop Bandari was our agent and we could not have had a more able and professional representative. He tenaciously fought for our claims and was very successful! He has our highest appreciation and recommendation. I had a complex insurance claim with AAA starting from a date of loss in July, and honestly, I…read moredon't think I would've gotten through it without this team. My desk adjuster was Misti Mangel, Greg handled things as the executive adjuster, and Vicken supported on the accounting side. From start to finish, they were organized, responsive, and knew exactly how to handle a difficult insurance situation. AAA initially downplayed the damage significantly, offered a very low payout, and even pushed to close the claim before I had time to fully assess everything. On top of that, they made things difficult for my contractors, which added even more stress to the situation. I reached out to multiple public adjusters, and many of them told me upfront that AAA was extremely difficult to deal with and didn't even want to take on the claim. That alone says a lot. This team stepped in anyway and handled everything professionally and aggressively when needed. They knew how to push back, document properly, and navigate the process without cutting corners. Now that my claim is officially closing this week, I can confidently say hiring them was the right decision. They turned a frustrating, overwhelming situation into something manageable and ultimately successful. If you're dealing with a tough insurance company or feel like you're being lowballed, I highly recommend working with them.
