I know what you are asking - why did you go all the way to Ireland, and have Italian food and…read morepizza? Well, we got tired of the few traditional Irish dishes and were craving something different. The owners are from Northern Italy, so the food is quite a treat compared to what you usually experience in America. Plenty of pizza choices (both vegan and non vegan), as well as a good variety of pasta dishes, desserts, and drinks. We ordered the Delizia (€12.50 for the 9" or €14.50 for the 12" pie). It consisted of spicy salami, Italian bacon, red onion, mozzarella cheese, and we added black olives for an extra €1. And they didn't skimp on the black olives folks (see the pic). They were whole olives, and not slices, like we are used to in the states. Gotta love that! We also ordered the 9" Vegetariana for €10.80. It had tasty tomato sauce, aubergines (AKA eggplant), courgettes (AKA zucchini), a touch of basil, and roasted red peppers. No cheese on this one, since it was listed as a vegan option. The food was so fresh here, and the best part of it all was the crust and the tomato sauce on each pizza. Service was OK. The food came out in a timely manner, and the girl running the front operations was friendly and courteous. However, I must deduct one star because she didn't pay enough attention to our drink refill requests. She was occupied with what appeared to be one of the town locals who stops in for a pint and just sits and has conversations with the staff. I guess that happens in a lot of small towns. I can get past that though, I would drop by here again, in a heartbeat. No private parking lot - you have to park on the street. Two hour free street parking, but I advise leaving your car parked at the Blarney Castle if you just came from there, and just walk the short distance to this place. Bottled beer is €3.50, pints are €4.95, a glass of merlot is €6.70.

There was nothing about this place that I didn't enjoy. Everything from the hospitality to the meal…read morewas absolutely phenomenal. What caught my attention as I was browsing restaurants on the web was their extensive, separate vegan menu, which includes a handful of delightful desserts. I started with the tomato basil soup which was very tasty. For my main course I had the vegan Bolognese which was accompanied by vegan garlic bread and was very happy with it. They were so kind to let me taste the vegan mozzarella they make in house and after 3 and a half years of being vegan I can honestly say it was the best vegan mozzarella I have ever tasted. I ended with the vegan chocolate cake which was served with a very delicious fruit of the forest ice cream. It was almost brownie-like and there was no shortage of chocolate. I could have licked the plate clean. My brother had the lasagna on the main menu and said it was in the top three lasagnas that he has had in the WORLD. His wife had the Tagliatelle Mari & Monti who said it was absolutely delightful and not too fishy. They also finished with a chocolate cake (which was not vegan) and said it was delicious. Everyone was very kind, including the owners daughter, whose name I unfortunately did not catch. The food was so good I envisioned moving here and eating here every week. Extremely thrilled I convinced them to accompany me at this wonderfully delightful restaurant. I will be back in the near future and already cannot wait!

Very impressed only complaint is that there is currently no early bird menu for vegan menu. Kids eat free Sunday which is great for family's.
