Cody is a fast talker who tells you he can do anything. Can you clean our gutters? Of course. Can you clean our chandeliers? Of course. The light fixtures hanging on the side of the house? No problem. He "cleans" the gutters by hosing them off. Doesn't even bother to clean up the mess on the ground. Dirt and leaves everywhere. Breaks a piece of my chandelier and doesn't even offer to pay for it. Breaks two of the screens around house and doesn't tell me. Steps on my malibu light and breaks it. Doesn't tell me. I had him come back to do my light fixtures because he did such a half ass job. His helper, Summer, should be running the business. She was great. Cody loses focus and tries to up sell everything including trying to talk the neighbors into using his service while he is working. Charged me $1000 and I demanded $250 back because of the broken items. Still waiting. If I get the refund, I will change the review. Not holding my breath. read more

I really hate to give Cody a bad review because he was friendly enough. But I would not recommend him if you have any kind of tint or film on your windows. He started cleaning the windows and notified me one of my windows would not come clean because it has tint/film on it and it would be scratched if he tried to get the dirty spots out. Although his company ended up scratching a few of my windows pretty good with a Brillo pad not knowing that it was tinted or had film on it. When I approached him about this he said it was already like that. Not cool, not cool at all. Then he said they were trying to do the best job for me scrubbing in dirty areas. But meanwhile scratching up the tinted windows. A couple of my key windows look worse than before he came. Isn't there a way of cleaning tinted windows that are dirty without scratching them? Is t be the professional? I was informed the front window was cleaned three times and it still looks still dirty and it is tinted. Reluctantly he ended up giving me $30 off of the 305.00 he charged me!!! Very disappointing, said he had to pay his worker and commented on spending a lot of time here. But, what about my windows you came to clean that are damaged now and look like crap. I will have to get a few of my windows re-tinted now and that will cost more than his window cleaning! Before I hired him I did read some bad reviews but, really wanted to give him a chance. I will not be having CL Window Shine out to my house again. Bummer, because I need a window washer periodically and I really liked the way they did the other windows, just couldn't make good on the tinted windows. Sorry Cody told you I would give you a bad review if you did not make it right on the price. Also, I had to tell him to put his mask on while he was in the house as he could see I had mine on as well as his worker. We have only been in the house for a year and have wash the windows before with no problem. Funny how he says we haven't washed the windows in 20 years just trying to look for something to put the blame on the customer. I thought a while about writing this review, they are a new company and I didn't want to hurt their business, but I feel that is exactly the reason for them to be thorough and honest to build clientele. Second time using this company was not a good experience... we installed new windows and couple of them are scratched now along with the sliding door window and were not properly cleaned, also stairs are chipped from probably dropping something in the process , not even a phone call to explain what happened. I had to call the owner and was offered compensation but declined, I'll be using a different company in the future. read more

I hesitate in writing a bad review because I believe very strongly in supporting small businesses. However, after a recent correspondence with the owner, Cody, and after deciding to really Iook at his work, I have no other options. Cody cleaned my windows a few weeks ago. There were a few things that bothered me initially: 1. Not wearing a mask in my house (I didn't ask him to, but every other company I've done work with lately has worn a mask inside my home - there are mandates in Orange County for wearing masks in enclosed spaces) 2. Not wearing booties on his feet - he walked throughout my house with wet shoes, which made my floors filthy. 3. Stepping on my couch in his socks to open the windows (one of my couches is pushed up to the back wall, but a true professional would have put a drop cloth down) While those three things were annoying and not professional, the reason for my 1 star review is the following: - When he was about to leave, be brought me a bent screen and told me that "since it was so old" he couldn't get it out and it bent and wouldn't go back in the window, then he asked if I wanted him to try. What kind of question is that? In addition, two of my screens have fallen out of the windows on a daily basis since he left. Upon looking at them closely, I saw that the bumpers were no longer on there. I emailed to ask him to come repair them (as they had NEVER fallen out before), and this is his response: "Hi Pam sorry for the Bumpers on top of your screens they were Bent on top and they wouldn't go in the window frame So I had to remove them to put them in the window frame, The screen in your bedroom was already very warped and it bent on me the moment it was taken out Unfortunately I do not do screen repair" Admitting you broke something (took the bumpers off - which are absolutely required for screens to stay in windows!), then saying you can't fix it is ridiculous for anyone - especially a business owner. In addition, this should have been disclosed BEFORE he left my house... not after - and only because I asked. Please watch the video below to see 3 screens that haven't fallen out yet... but are bent, broken, not even clean, and on one of them the tabs are on the outside! Welcome in my house, anyone who'd like to take it off. Hopefully you got to the end of this review. He's a nice kid, very prompt replies, but he has A LOT to learn about running a business and making his customers happy. I anticipate hundreds of dollars in repairs for the screens he has broken and bent - definitely not worth the slightly lower price he offered. * I tried to attach a video to show the broken bumpers, bent screens, and tabs on the outside, but it wouldn't load, I'm happy to add pictures if anyone wants them! read more
