I immediately started searching Google for places and I must say there were not many to choose from by far. I didn't think any place could take me in a couple of hours on the same day BUT when I called Abington Spa they were so welcoming and compassionate about getting me in to see Amy for a deep tissue massage. Location: when I pulled up to the building and parked I had to walk to front door only to see the small print that the spa was located around back and to park in the back. I was a bit annoyed for wished the receptionist could have stated that on the phone call especially knowing the sharp excruciating pain I was in but anyways. I like the décor of the place very tranquil. Amy greeted me and asked me if I wanted water or WINE.. I immediately smiled and chose wine. Service: the deep tissue massage was so good I loved the pressure she gave and the fact that she asked me if the pressure was good throughout the service. She was really able to dig into the muscle and work thru the kinks. I later found out that she worked at a rehab facility for years and that is where she knew how to identify tough areas. she was a life saver. After looking through several reviews and websites, I decided Abington Spa was the right place for me. They were able to fit me in that day and I was also able to schedule another appointment for a couple of days later. Everyone was super friendly and the service was prompt. Kayla was super professional and asked me where I'd like her to focus the 60 mins. She did an amazing job loosening up my very tight muscles. I have tons of knots in my back and being tense isn't foreign to me. I carry all that stuff in my shoulders daily. I'm sure she could tell too! It was painful, but in that good way y'know? When I left I felt immediately better and two days later, I feel even better. After all the plane rides and days working hard, this was such a treat! I will definitely be back on another trip for more treatments. I'd love to get a pedicure and manicure next time!

Even upon reading some of the negative reviews that the stylist did a good job but not what the client wanted, I made an appointment based on some photos on their site. However: The only positive point is the stylists are friendly. But to pay $200 for a friendly stylist who does not do what you discussed together beforehand is a complete waste of money and time to say the least. And if covid precautions are of any concern I would not go here: the stations are too close together and crowded with stylists and clients, and there was no wiping down the chairs or surfaces in between clients --- only a temperature check upon arrival. But all that aside: Honest communication is key to any good relationship. What could be more clear than a photo of what is desired? The stylist led me to believe she could accomplish this yet I got something completely different (horrible color) and not the requested cut. When I expressed my displeasure and again showed her the photo of what we were suppose to accomplish, she made an attempt to correct it but the result was still not what was requested. Her response was we would try something different "next time." Again, the stylist was nice but to add insult to injury and be charged $200, and possibly have to pay more money to go elsewhere for a color correction (who wants to feel even more crummy during covid?) well you can be sure I will not be back nor will I recommend this salon to anyone else unless they want to be overcharged to be terribly disappointed.
