She was a good instructor, I had fun doing a few on site shows. What I liked least were some of the girls on the collage team that are working students. The horses are very well behaved here and that is a good thing for some of these girls. They talk down to you like you don't know what you are doing all the while they themselves doing things that would have gotten them, a horse (or you) injured if they were dealing with anything but a super quiet horse. I think if you just want to go and ride with no attachments ie: get in get out and little interaction. This would be the perfect place to ride. You will learn a lot here, mostly what to do and fixing previous bad habits. The lessons were great. The only one thing I was not a fan of is they do lean to the emphasis of a heavier hand/bit contact than I was taught when I was younger. Higher strung/ sensitive horses I've ridden in the past would not have tolerated the level of contact I was using here.

The facility is right by the water and they will gently push your kayak behind you to get you started. This part is 5 stars. The 2nd part is 1 star. The business gave as three $5 coupons to use at a local restaurant. This restaurant is just behind their property. We went there to have lunch and at the time of paying the check we provided the coupons but the restaurant declined them. Lots of bla bla and exclusions of what the coupons cover (must be a party of two, won't provide discount on lobster, won't give discount on kids meals) and whatever, we were declined to use the coupons. Whatever. It's not about the money. It's about legitimate and transparent business. Stop baiting customers and luring them into using the restaurant. Of course you will tell me I did not read the very fine print. Well I did not coz I trusted you. And thanks for the opportunity. We now know how you try to trick people with those coupons.

I was looking for a particular item and they did not carry it, but the woman I spoke to said they would get it ordered for the store and that it would be in within 7-10 days. Since their nationwide competitor had it on the shelf they ordered a case to have it in stock for everyone. Take a moment to think about how impressive that is. Flip the scenario and but a big box retailer in that position. Would they immediately put an item on their next order from a vendor to stock it in the store? Does the store manager even have that power? Or would they be more likely to direct you to their website? Very few of us will ever run into Bezos at the supermarket, so why line his pockets? Almost all of us will run into Ryan and his staff outside of Mocean, either having fun on the trail, or at an event supporting the community. Keep this in mind when shopping.

My boyfriend and I went on the kayak tour with Justin. We had an awesome time. Justin was great,…read moreaccomodating, was a great tour guide and lots of fun. The water was beautiful and clean, and very scenic navagating the canals between thehigh grass. We really enjoyed ourselves. Justin was also great in that he honored a truilia. I did check w/ him to make sure that he/his business was compensated b/c trulia took client money and then literally closed up shop and ran. To be honest, if he told me trulia had not compensated him, i would have happily paid twice. It was a really great way to spend the day at the cape. Two disclaimers. The kayak tour is not at the Jarves address. That is just where a sign w/ directions to the beach/parking ($5 or $10) is available. Also none of the businesses near the sign at Jarves St have any public restrooms, so that could be an issue. I nicked a star b/c I had difficulty getting in touch w/ Justin to arrange the tour closer to the date. So we just took a Thursday off and winged it. We were lucky there were two slots open. Other people on the tour did say he called them back promptly and this wasn't an issue. He does spend a good portion of the day outside working, so its possible he just missed my messages. Anycase, still worth it. We had a wonderful time.

The tour itself was neat, never kayaked through an estuary before... it seems like it'd be a good way to introduce someone who's never been kayaking before, to start here, before doing anything more open water. The tour itself was decent, however, because we were in a group of 8, it was hard to hear majority of what the tourguide was saying, unless you happened to be the kayak that was right next to him. Another downside of kayaking an estuary vs something more open water is that several times, it begins to be more like bumper boats in some parts! Overall, a nice experience and a neat alternative for something to do on the Cape. However, communication could have been better. The tourguide told my friend organizing, that he'd call her the day before with more details, but never did. Also, the address that is given, actually leads you to the front of an art gallery and only a placard out front advertising "ecotourz" without an address telling you how to get to the actual meeting area (which is ~1 mile away).
