August 2021 track rules.

Fun times with my kids at Bud's Go-Karts. It was our first time and we went next door to Bud's Mini Golf (great course!) before we went on the go-karts. The karts had a good speed and we were able to do a lot of laps before time was up. Price was right at $8 per driver. Will return if in the area!

Too short of a time driving, cars are old, lines are long. Just another Cape rip-off.

Cape Cod Inflatable Park - The amazing lazy river!

Cape Cod Inflatable Park

First time at Cape Cod Inflatable Park and I am so glad I opted to stay over - both days had FOUR…read moreFREE TICKETS FOR BOTH ARRIVAL DAY AND DEPARTURE DAY. PRETTY MUCH PAID FOR THE ROOM! A lot of reviews talk about the uncomfortable chairs, hot sun, etc. I have no idea what they were talking about because we rented a cabana that was comfortable and very clean. Outside of that were tons of tables and comfortable chairs and loungers WITH UMBRELLAS. Don't like the lines at the snack bars? They have tons of waiters and waitresses taking orders and delivering your food to you! There were seven of us that came and from children to adults, all enjoyed it. The expectations that people have for this place are unreasonable! ALL of the information about what to expect - from socks and requirements to prices for food and admission - it's all there. The place is only opened for a few months and have a huge staff, so of course you have to pay for that! Our experience was amazing and we all look forward to going again next year, maybe for two nights. My ONLY SUGGESTION would be to keep the inflatable park open a bit longer, even into October. My grandkids loved it but it was soooo hot they couldn't really feel comfortable. All in all, some of the complaints on here are ridiculous and issues could have been eliminated If they had just done their homework! Thanks for a great celebration for my birthday! See you next year!!

Edaville Festival of Lights - Exiting was the best part

Edaville Festival of Lights

I have collected Edaville souvenirs and memorabilia for as long as I could remember and I don't wanna say that I'm a train enthusiast, but my career is ON a railroad. I was seriously delighted to hear that the KRF group was going to tackle keeping the Christmas season alive at Edaville! Before our visit, a lot of the local pages on Facebook had naysayers and doubters, and I took the reins trying to be positive: "If it wasn't for the KRF group, there would be no Edaville, since the previous owner gave up and sold off all of the rides." With all that said, we visited with an open heart and mind, and were sadly, completely underwhelmed. Yes, I did notice there were more lights around the park -more so than the last few years. I thought that the giant Christmas tree just beyond the entrance was quite lovely. And, I hate to say it, but that's the end of what delighted me. The shops from the last few years were missing (Hippie Pilgrim, the antiques, the hand painted ornaments,) and the only shops to visit (and there were so few) were those also featured during the renaissance faire. To be honest, some of those shops featured Christmas items, but mostly, it was confusing and completely underwhelming. To call anything on the advertising and Edaville ticket pages a "Merry Marketplace" was quite deceiving. The Jingle Bar, advertised as 21+, was fun and festive but it was crowded with children. And the thing that really disappointed me the most? PortaPotties! It was 33° and I know the Venue has bathroom facilities! To make people use outdoor, frigid cold toilets and cold water is downright cruel! To charge $28 for a visit that doesn't include a train ride, to shop in 10-15 shops featuring old English provisions, and to pee in a PortaPotty, is a crime.

Reading through the more recent reviews it's clear a lot of people are disappointed in Edaville. My…read morefam went once for the holiday lights in December and recently for the Day Out with Thomas Event. Both times my family and I have had a ton of fun. My son is five and the majority of rides are perfect for him. This is truly a great spot for young elementary school aged kids and younger. There are a few rides where you have to be taller and keep the older kids a bit more engaged and plenty of rides for the younger bunch. Is this place pricey-- yes! But show me an amusement park that isn't. The tickets are high, but you can spend at least four+ hours at the park. We have not encountered crazy lines as others have. The Topham Hat car ride always has a longer wait at around 20ish minutes, but for almost all the others we never waited more than 5-10 minutes. The steam train ride is nice and it's a pretty long ride around the park. If your child loves trains, they will love it here. All the model trains/tracks inside are great to look at as well. It is a little weird how they must have lost their Thomas the Train licensing and the Thomas area very clearly used to be Sodor but now is a winter village. Things like the Dieselworks and the Troublesome Trucks are still pretty clear, even it it's not official. The food here is pretty standard. There is a local BBQ place that must rent out on of the stalls though, because their food was super tasty. Otherwise it's more hot dog, chicken nuggets, fried dough, popcorn, etc. I never went to Edaville before the new owners took over, so maybe that is why my perspective is different-- I have nothing to compare it to. Looking through old pictures though, I do hope they bring dinoland back! My family will be heading back in December for their Festival of Lights!

If you are a Fan of those Pirate movies then you've got to experience the Real Thing! The tour combines fun interesting facts about the history of Boston plus they show you many points of interests both past & present still standing in the city. They even throw in some Pirate stories as well like Sam Bellamy & The Widdah. The crew is all dressed in Pirate attire so you really get the whole Pirate experience. We had Captain Mckinnon & Captain Mead. Both Kids & Adults will like this nautical adventure in the 7 Seas. They even let the kids help hoist the sails. This is Great to put on a future resume - Yup I helped sail a Pirate Ship. LOL! It gets chilly on the seas so bring an extra jacket. They also have Free Blankets they pass out if you're cold. You'll pass by The TD Garden, The Zakim Bridge, The Old North Church, The Seaport Area, Legal Seafood, The Rebook Headquarters, Logan Airport, The Charleston Navy Yard, The USS Constitution & many other sites. You'll definitely get heads a turning cruising in the Pirate Ship by other boaters along the route who will give you a wave. There is a rest room below the deck. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!
