Another huge reason that keeps me coming back is the people that work there, they are always so happy and talkative when I walk in. Thank you, Eddie!

They do many kinds of dogs and a few other sandwiches. Now here's the bad news: they have no "fryer" so no fries! No onion rings! No potato skins! No Tater Tots! The good news is that it's worth going just for the dogs. Toppings are perfect. I had a perfect Chicago-style and my wife loved her All American. We split a dog with kraut. Still needing sides, wife had Mac & Cheese that she liked and I enjoyed "Grandma's" slaw. It was just like my grandma's! So - get in the mood for a hot dog and go get them. Recommended!

I haven't eaten here since before Covid so I was excited to come back and get a quick meal here - as well as introduce my boyfriend to the food staples of my hometown! He ordered two Ft Wayne coney dogs and a side of frito chips while I ordered one coney dog and a side of "chili soup." Yes, it is exactly how it sounds. A very soup-y chili. Our order was less than $15 total! You can't find a deal like this anywhere anymore! So come to Ft Wayne Coney and people watch while surrounding yourself in a world of nostalgia. And not only is the food fast and cheap, it is also made with love and delicious!

I took a seat at one of the stools at the counter. About those........this place has been around since the early 1900s, and you can tell. The stools were the size to fit people back then. My big ass barely fit on it, and this old timer next to me went to sit down, and missed the stool completely and almost took a tumble (thankfully he did not fall down). I placed my order for 2 hot dogs and a large Dr Pepper. How were they? Delicious! Coney Dogs- These dogs come with a loose meat style coney sauce, mustard and onions all on a soft steamed bun. The most awesome part, they are only $2.00 each! You can't get anything these days for $2.00. The dogs were delicious! I can see how they have been around 100+ years. If I wasn't going to another place to eat afterwards, I could have put down 4-5 dogs, easily. Service was very friendly, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Would definitely stop back in if I'm ever near Fort Wayne again!

There is no seating inside of this establishment. You stay in your vehicle to order. Depending on if you are ordering to stay and eat or to go, you can either eat in your vehicle or they do have a couple of picnic tables you can set at. Most recently, maybe a year or two ago, they added a little playground area for kiddos to play while waiting for their meal to be delivered. Most of the time, the car hops gals will bring your food out to your vehicle, on a tray that hooks on to your driver or passenger side window. The service is always excellent. The food is always amazing and the car hops whom take your order start their first job working here while they are in high schooler or on summer break. I highly recommend you try out B&K - South, once in your life, in Peru, Indiana. They're so kind, caring and deliver your order in a very timely manner. I also recommend their gallons of Root Beer. They have the absolute BEST Root Beer in town. You can buy it by the pint or gallon to take home. Its a MUST! The one and only complaint I have seen/heard from people is the parking when B&K first opens. (They are only open from Spring to the beginning of Fall.). They do get super busy when reopening for the season, but it is really not too bad to where the wait is way too long. (Also would depend on how long your lunch break is.) I would play it smart and call in to order ahead of time and pick your order up if you don't have a lot of time to wait. Once the excitement of reopening dies down, the parking gets a LOT better and service speeds up as well. I always have given B&K - Southside a 10/10. They have never disappointed!
