Learning to drive stick was great with Jason and Redline Motor School. I previously tried to learn…read morevia my father and once again via my friend, but I wasn't quite successful. I decided to go with Jason because his reviews are all good and it was a good choice. I emailed him before deciding on what course I wanted to take and he was quick to respond and set up a time to discuss my questions on the phone. One the day of the course we met in an empty parking lot and Jason walked me through the basics/theory behind driving a stick. Once that was over it was time for me to get in the driver's seat. We drove around the lot practicing everything starting with starting/stopping and moving on as I gained confidence. Over the course of the lesson I learned to shift, start and stop, reversing and start on a hill. I didn't get a chance to go on the streets, but I was fine with that and the only reason I didn't is because I was kept asking Jason to practice things until I really felt comfortable. Had the lesson been slightly longer I'm sure I would've been on the streets. Jason does a great job of explaining the theory behind driving stick and answering any and every question you have along way. If you want to learn stick and are looking for a great instructor don't hesitate to book your session with Jason. Also, if you just need a manual car to practice on Jason also offers great rates for that as well.

Attending School of Rock Cresskill has had such a positive impact on my life overall. I walked into…read morethe building knowing basically nothing about guitar. But my instructor, Mike, has been so helpful and understanding during my learning process. Beyond that, I was recommended to try vocal lessons with an instructor at the time who's lessons quickly became the highlight of my week. She taught me so much and gave me the confidence, tools, and reassurance I lacked. Performance Program shows have helped me meet so many amazing fellow musicians (that I am glad to say are now some of my closest friends), taught me how to play/perform as a group, dared me to positively push myself, and helped me get comfortable on stage. Furthermore, I was asked to audition vocally for Houseband earlier this year and, to my surprise, I got in! The entire experience has helped me grow in so many ways that I could make this comment into a essay. So to sum it up, I started with barely any stage presence and a shaky voice. Through healthy challenges, once the annual summer tour came around, I was so confident singing on stage and had improved my voice so much by comparison to the fall. I bonded so much with my bandmates and have connected with so many people through music, I wish I started School of Rock sooner! From the fabulous, insanely talented, and hilarious staff, to the programs and experiences themselves, I would 100% recommend SoR Creskill to anybody in search of an amazing learning enviroment.

A place where everyone can be themselves, learn, and have fun. The best staff and teachers ever.read more

Incredible discipline, service, and honor are a few of the attributes of a Merchant Marine. Not to…read moremention that the campus and views are beyond your expectations - spanning the NYC skyline, Bridges and waterways surrounding the area...it's worth a visit if you're ever nearby. About the USMMA (from their website www.usmma.edu "United States Merchant Marine Academy is a federal service academy that educates and graduates licensed Merchant Marine officers of exemplary character who serve America's marine transportation and defense needs in peace and war. With 95 percent of the world's products transported over water, these leaders are vital to the effective operation of our merchant fleet for both commercial and military transport during war and peace. Academy graduates abide by the motto "Acta Non Verba" - deeds not words, and are leaders that exemplify the concept of service above self. Known for its rigorous academic program, USMMA requires more credit hours for a baccalaureate degree than any other Federal service academy. This challenging coursework is augmented by the Academy's Sea year experience, which affords midshipmen the opportunity to acquire hands-on, real-world experiences aboard working commercial vessels sailing to ports around the world. Midshipmen who master this demanding curriculum earn a unique combination of credentials: An highly-regarded Bachelor of Science degree A U.S. Coast Guard license An officer's commission in the U.S. Armed Forces For this reason, Academy graduates are highly sought after as officers in the military and the merchant marine. This merchant fleet of efficient and productive commercial ships owned by U.S. companies and registered and operated under the American flag, forms an essential part of our domestic and international transportation system. U.S. Merchant Marine graduates play a key role in this industry, which is vital to America's economy and continued prosperity. All graduates have a service obligation upon graduation that provides the most career options offered by any of the federal academy. Graduates can choose to work five years in the United States maritime industry with eight years of service as an officer in any reserve unit of the armed forces. Or five years active duty in any of the nation's armed forces. In time of war or national emergency, the U.S. Merchant Marine becomes vital to national security as a "fourth arm of defense." Our merchant ships bear the brunt of delivering military troops, supplies and equipment overseas to our forces and allies operating as an auxiliary unit to the Navy. The stark lessons of the twenty first century conflicts again prove that a strong merchant marine is an essential part of American security and sea power. The nation's economic and security needs met by the U.S. Merchant Marine are compelling. Today, the United States imports approximately 85 percent of some 77 strategic commodities critical to America's industry and defense. Although we, as a nation, account for only six percent of the world population, we purchase nearly a third of the world's output of raw materials. Ninety-nine percent of these materials are transported by merchant vessels. But the most important element in a productive merchant fleet and a strong transportation industry is people - men and women who can lead with integrity, honor, intelligence, dedication, and competence. The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy ensures that such people are available to the nation as shipboard officers and as leaders in the transportation field who will meet the challenges of the present and the future."
