Civerinos has great pizza and plentiful options to choice from. The pizzas can be split between two people because they are a light crust and very delicious. We got the pepperoni pizza and the Civerinos and it was very delicious. The service was good but we did have a-lot of waiting time in between ordering our drinks & food and getting our starters and main pizza. The place was small but very suitable for a nice pizza joint. Would recommend if you want a nice pie and have a little time.

The food is amazing and so is the service. This little gem kept showing up on Tik Tok and the pizza looked amazing so I had to check it out. I also ate at Civerinos slice which is a little ways away from the castle and it was nowhere as good as this place! I have eaten their pizza and truffle fries and they are both amazing! The best little pizza restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Best vegan pizza ever Even my very non vegan meet loving boyfriend was in love with my pizza! I even came twice in two days to try my way through the sides which all were incredibly delicious. My bf who had the chorizo pizza was verrry happy here... honestly can't wait to get back to Edinburgh to eat more pizza here

Civerinos is awesome !! It's one of the coolest looking places I've been in, with brick walls, tiles, wooden benches and pressed tin ceilings The service was friendly and they have free bread sticks. The vegan Meat Is Murder pizza was delicious, great thin base, lots of yummy onions. It would have been even better with a bit of tomato sauce or fresh tomatoes. Apparently the Hot Hot Sausage pizza was amazing too. The only not awesome thing was that It's just a little bit expensive, All the pizzas were £14.

Some awesome decor

I've been to NYC twice in the last 10 months. I'm not gonna lie, one of the reasons I went back was solely for NY style pizza. I love it. I can't get enough of it and there is just nowhere like it in Edinburgh. Most of the deluxe pizza places stick with the more traditional Italian style. Civerinos is no different. It does a pretty good job and making a good pizza although it is pretty damn pricey. £15 for a four cheese pizza is quite a lot of money when you think about it. They have a kickass royal mile location and their rent must be sky high but £15 quid is just to much for a pizza. They're also doing nothing particularly special. The pizza is good but it's just that. There's a number of other pizza places in the city cooking the exact same style of pizza, at a similar price point and it tastes just as good as each other. I'd recommend you pop in if you're passing by but it's not worth a special trip.

I love the decor, I'm ok with the service and I like the food well enough, but I'm not so crazy about the price point. Having once got a £4 slice to go and now having eaten in.. I just don't feel like I got much bang for my buck. The food is good but wasn't anything to write home about. The pizzas I've had felt a little scarce for topping and needed a healthy sprinkling of parmesan to lift its flavour. The pasta was well cooked but the ragu could have been punchier. The coating on the calamari needed just that little more crunch. As much as I love supporting local business, they need to up their game to compete with the chains around the corner! Oh, and cash only saw me venturing out into the cold to pay for my dinner.. Don't get caught out!

Ate our first dinner in Edinburgh here. The pizza was among the best I've ever had. Highly recommended! I had the four cheese. Service was great and prices were reasonable as well.

The four of us went there on a lazy Sunday afternoon and were greeted by our friendly waitress. We ordered some starters, Calamari & Salsiccia Siciliana followed by my sourdough Pizza Burrata, a Pizza Genovese and a Pizza Margarita slice. And as a closing act an espresso coffee & a chocolate ice cream. On the positive side: The interiors were pretty cool with its big and long wooden tables plus tiles and brick walls. Deco was cool and matching the clientele's vibe too. About the service, both waitresses were friendly, professional and efficient, so kudos to them. Improvement needed: Naked wooden tables were very sticky (aka dirty) so you lean on them at your own peril... as your jacket sleeves may get glued on them... it reminded me the old Port O' Leith filthy tables after a midnight weekend drinking session... If I paid £ 16 for a pizza I expect a proper plate and not a bendy paper one. Pizzas arrived lukewarm on icy aluminum trays, a definite no-no as they were cold after 3-4 minutes of eating them. It looked that the pizzaiolo made them with the starters and left them to cool down on the kitchen pass whilst we were eating our starters... with the obvious consequence of a cold meal which was a real shame. I'd give an extra star if only pizzas were hot... food for thought.

Thougjt we wouldn't finish two big pizzas but in fact managed it. Really good and don't feel bloated. Highly recommended.

Pizza, pizza, pizza!

We went here while in Edinburgh and had a great time! Really cool atmosphere, small but cool community seating available. The pizza was to die for and huge!! We also got some fried zucchini which was good, but the breading was a little heavy. I would definitely go back! Great location to walk around afterwards and go to shops!

He made great wine recommendations and treated us very well. This restaurant has a certain hustle and bustle of a busy Italian restaurant, but still captures the intimate feeling of closeness with their seating area. We decided to start with Focaccia and it wasn't disappointing! It had a crisp exterior with a nice, fluffy interior. The Focaccia had just the right amount of oil and salt to make it the perfect starter. Despite having a delicious line-up of pasta, I just had to go with the pizza. Once again, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The pizza had some of the most delicious sauce I've had in a while. The cheese was perfectly melted and the crust featured a similar structure to the Focaccia. What really set the pizza apart was the chili oil our waiter drizzled on top. I'm so glad I took him up on his offer because it added a pleasant spicy kick to the pizza. I was also able to sample my wife's vegan pizza. She also decided to go with the chili oil and her pizza was some of the best vegan pizza we've experienced together. It was packed with delicious vegetables and the mozzarella vegan cheese wasn't too heavily applied, nor did it give the extra gooey mouth feel that vegan cheese often has. Combined with the chili oil, it was a wonderful experience. I'm so glad we made it out to Vittoria.

I was desperate for a hot, carb-loaded dinner after landing in Edinburgh and thankfully La Favorita…read morewas right around the corner from my Airbnb and had great reviews on Yelp. I was happy to find an Italian restaurant in Scotland since I was looking for some comfort food. The interior has lots of seating space in separate little rooms. It's all one connected space, but there are separators and barriers around the sections, if that makes sense. There's seating for larger and smaller groups, and I was immediately seated at a table by myself. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the arancini and seasonal risotto. I told you, I wanted CARBS. The arancini was gooey and cheesy and fantastic and came with a spicy tomato salsa. The perfect appetizer. The risotto was divine! It came in a parmesan cheese crisp bowl and had a parm cheese base, pears mixed in, and balsamic vinegar drizzled on top with some arugula. Everything came together for one delicious, decadent meal. The portion was also huge and I had plenty left over for another meal. My server and I talked about cats and I instantly felt welcomed in Edinburgh and at La Favorita. If you like Italian food, I definitely recommend hitting them up!

Not least because the twinkly-eyed waiter called me "young lady" - this kind of complimentary talk earns anyone an instant tip as far as I'm concerned. This eatery is the kind of classic, traditional Italian experience which has to produce at least a smile from visitors, even if you've had the worst day at work ever/been dumped/dropped your favourite ornament/are a generally grumpy individual. I opted for the Risotto Imperiale, a tasty, well presented, affair, which came with jumbo, juicy prawns and a langoustine with one claw perched on top of a generous portion of rice and champagne sauce. My very critical fellow diner, definitely a pizza enthusiast, went for the Pizza ai due Salami, which after a few minutes of careful munching he announced was "very good", definitely high praise for him, before continuing to devour the rest of his meal, (only offering me a small slither). La Favorita has a pretty extensive menu, with all the dishes on offer you would expect from an Italian restaurant, so if you've got a craving for decent pasta and pizza somewhere different, where you're not paying over the odds, take a wander away from the centre of town and get down to Leith Walk.
