My kitchen sink was draining incredibly slowly, and my previous attempts to fix it just weren't working. From the very first phone call, the team was professional and easy to work with. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze, and I was given a courtesy call on the day of service with an estimated arrival time, which ended up being earlier than expected. I really appreciated the heads-up, as it worked out just fine for my schedule. When the plumbers arrived, they were prompt, courteous, and took the time to ask about the issue before assessing the situation. They gave me a reasonable verbal quote and got to work right away, completing the service the same day. I also liked that they accept credit card payments, making the whole process even more convenient. Thanks to Chicago Sewer & Drain, my kitchen sink is back to normal, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. Would I hire them again? Absolutely! Would I recommend them? 100%

We had a very bad experience with Joseph Wagge, the owner of Dave and Joe's. Our basement had…read moreflooded after a bad storm in July, and we needed a new water heater installed. My go-to plumber was backed up due to everyone needing new water heaters due to flooding. I had never used Dave and Joe's before, but they had great reviews (which I now suspect they're paying a service to provide fake reviews). Joseph installed a used, nonfunctioning water heater. Joseph told me it would be 6 hours before the water would heat and by morning I would have hot water. I thought that sounded like a very long time for the water to heat, but I trusted him because I've never been scammed before. I woke up the next morning to cold water. I had a water mitigation contractor at my home that morning who took a look at the water heater. He asked if I knew the plumber installed a dented, used water heater. I was outraged because I paid Joseph over $6,000 for installation of a water heater that was supposed to be purchased at Home Depot the day of the installation. I had to threaten to call the police to get Joseph to come to my home and replace the water heater. When he was leaving on the second day after installing a second "new" water heater, I asked how long would it take for the water heater to heat up, and he said about 45 minutes. I knew right then and there he had intentionally scammed me the night before. Additionally, he charged me over $6,000 for a water heater. I have since learned the owner has had multiple criminal charges for burglary, domestic abuse and driving while license suspended. This experience has really been eye opening for me. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU LET INTO YOUR HOME. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS.

I made several calls to local plumbers and one attempted to diagnose the problem without actually coming to my home to see, another promised to come out after I made an appointment and they completely flaked, and another declined to come out due to their schedule. I made one last effort to get someone and found Adalberto's Chicago Plumbing listing. I was a little apprehensive given he only had two previous reviews, but they were at least 5 stars. Gave him a call and he came out RIGHT AWAY. He worked so hard to clear what was apparently a sediment blockage in my water pipe. The first two times, nothing was able to clear, and he decided the best course would be to locate the blockage and replace the affected section. He was in and out with his colleague in about 2 hours. They found the issue very fast, got the work done wonderfully, and closed up the wall for us. His pricing was very reasonable and I am just SO EXTREMELY thankful for his help. Imagine trying to wash pots and pans in a trickle of cool water without scalding yourself with the better hot water pressure. The work was completed and he showed me how great the pressure is now. I'm in homemaking heaven. I can finally get back to washing normally. I highly recommend Adalberto and his team. His pricing was so fair, his knowledge and work impressive, and he is licensed, bonded and insured.
