Please research that AE Hospitality has units that have been available for years but the reviews are all new. Zero reviews should have been enough warning. This Garth rental is in an area deemed unsafe, use google street view and you will get an idea of the condition and location of this rental. AE Hospitality says the building is under construction but the rental is deplorable, unsafe, and boarded up as of Jan 2013. The rental key was not available at the agreed upon time. There was a homeless person on the front lawn blocking our entrance to the property and human feces in the entryway. We called AE Hospitality several times and their response was angry and threatening each time, no resolution offered. There has to be a better unit, keep looking.

If you are considering leasing an apartment through this company, just know that you are taking a huge risk. And for what it's worth, at the time of writing this review, the registered address for the company (on Yelp and several other sites) is in fact the address of a completely unrelated company. In other words, if you run into trouble and they stop returning your calls (as happened in my case) you literally cannot go and see them in person. No response to emails. Then I started really looking at their website. The links to facebook, twitter, etc. are all fakes...they don't go anywhere and the company has no such pages. The person who set me up for the room, the name on the contract and the person whose bank account got the money are all different. And then when I really look at the website--an American didn't write it stupid sentences, etc. Anyway, I am glad I realized it before I arrived in NYC with my family and co-workers. An expensive lesson but I hope others see it. If there is a way to get the website taken down, I will look into it. Front door is 10 feet from the garbage room. Sent a video of the rodents and the state of the garbage room at 4pm on a Monday. They came by at 10pm on a Monday to set traps and 'clean' the garbage room. Woke up to rodents in the apartment. Sent that photo and the video of the rodents STILL in the garage room three days later. Spoke with the owner at 8:30am named "Iddo"...asked for a refund. He refused. Offered to move me to another place. I objected, offered to settle for a refund and deposit return. Calling 311 to log a formal complaint. DO NOT STAY HERE!
