I had a really nice lunch this afternoon at The Asian Kitchen. There are many wonderful things to…read morereport about this little place, keeping in mind that this was my first and only visit. The restaurant has an intimate feel. Our waitress couldn't have been better. She was attentive, but gave us plenty of time to chat uninterrupted. The music was quiet enough that we could hear each other using our normal voices. The lighting was soft and not at all glaring. The parking was plentiful (Kroger is in the same parking lot). Their lunch special is very reasonable. I had the chicken kung pow with a delicious won ton soup and ice tea. The bill was about $15, so with a tip, lunch was still under $20. The waitress asked me what level of heat I wanted. I appreciate that because people often assume older people prefer very little heat and that is not true of me! The Kung Pow was delicious and plentiful. I could not eat it all. The vegetables were cooked "tender crisp" and the chicken was super tender. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

The dining room is always quaint and clean. I'm losing a star though on the fact that they are blaming getting rid of alcoholic beverages on tariffs. This is the first I have ever heard of a restaraunt doing it, but if you are afraid of having to raise or change pricing the beverage menu can be seperate from the food menu. Or limit the number of imports you have on the menu. It would seem better to say "we can't sell Ichiban or Sopporro anymore because of tariffs" rather than saying "tariffs bad, alcohol bad". i would rather have the choice to pay a dollar or two more than not at all.

Inside has the classic Chinese restaurant vibe. We always get the fried fish maw with crab meat soup, which is very good especially if you add some red vinegar and white pepper. Salt and pepper squid is always a fan favorite. Well seasoned and comes with cabbage. The house noodles are great for sharing and is packed with chicken and seafood. The sautéed snow peas are favorably and pairs great with some rice. The seafood hot pot doesn't disappoint with how much they put in.

They kept coming over to make sure I was okay and to keep my water filled. It it in a shopping center so there is free parking. Going inside there are plenty of dining room tables for all sizes of groups. From the outside you can't see it but there is much more space than meets the the when you go in. Pork egg roll - the egg rolls were okay. They honestly were good but did that's nearly enough pork filling for me. You bite into it and it's egg roll wrap and mostly cabbage. But because of that the sauce they gave was useful. To be that big, they didn't have enough filling but it doesn't mean I didn't eat then (they were cooked to perfection though as far as the crisp and crust goes). General Tsos chicken - so the chicken was really good. Came with white rice and it was very plentiful. It was heavily sauced, so if you don't like as much of the sauce then you won't want this dish. The sauce was sweet and spicy and had great flavor. The chicken came in nice chunks (not like other places that may give you crumbs or super small pieces) and they definitely did not try to skimp you at all. Fried wonton - So the fried wontons weren't the move at all. They were fried extra hard. Hard enough to wear. You can taste anything but the fried crust and there was nothing on the inside. Having to bite into it. Just taste crunch and not flavor. Wasn't ideal. Overall this was a decent spot but the appetizers kind of let me down. The main was good and that would get me back in to try another dish.

The pace is fast in the restaurant and the service is attentive and once you order your food comes out quickly to the table. Every dish we ordered was delicious. It is one of those establishments that you want to hurry and eat as there are people waiting to be seated and you don't want to linger too long because that would not be fair to them. You have plenty of time and noone is rushing you you just know to be a decent human being you should eat and then leave promptly and not linger over empty dishes. Their portions are hearty though so you will most likely have take out to enjoy as well. I highly recommend this restaurant and if I lived closer I would frequent it often. I wish I could be more detailed about the dishes we ordered but I just don't remember but I still wanted to give them a good review. Just remember to be polite and not tarry like you would not tarry at a Waffle House when it is full because this restaurant is going to always be full I suspect!

The staff have a good attitude and they answer your questions about the menu. I was here with a friend and we both enjoy our dishes, they arrive fast and they were pretty flavorful. I got a classic chicken Lo Mein, the portion is very generous and it was delicious.

Everything was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. The staff has also been accommodating with my shellfish allergy, which I really appreciate. If you're trying Food Terminal for the first time, this combination is a must. We started with the dumplings, and they were fantastic--perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. For our main courses, we ordered the Beef Noodles and the Pork Noodles, and both dishes were outstanding. The noodles had the perfect texture, the flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the portions were generous. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We also shared the Mixed Fried Rice, which was excellent. It wasn't just a side dish--it could easily be a meal on its own. It was loaded with ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and had that authentic wok flavor that makes great fried rice so satisfying. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and efficient without ever making us feel rushed. Our server checked on us regularly, answered our questions, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was lively, modern, and inviting. Even though the restaurant was busy, it was well organized, clean, and had a great energy. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. If you're in the Sandy Springs area and enjoy Asian cuisine, Food Terminal is absolutely worth a visit. Delicious food, generous portions, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.
