If you have a loved one going to this place, be extra vigilant! A friend was sent to this facility to be monitored and recover from a multiple fracture on dominant hand.is oxygen dependent, Fall Risk, diabetic, sleep apnea requires a c pap etc. This facility is NOT review patient's Care Plan or basic information!! The aid/nurse took the patient OFF his oxygen, put him a wheel and went down the hall to get his weight. How long can you hold your breath? When family member called to inquire when patient was not connected to Cpap machine, aid/ nurse replied, we only have plugs for the bed, and oxygen. Patient could not sleep, until multiple inquires about the cpap machine. Patient spent one week and returned to the ER due negligence, oxygen Saturation, glucose were never monitored and No insulin given. I don't think the staff was unpleasant and yes I thought they were bus but one week of negligence is absurd . If you have no choice, be vigilant!

Awful! I cried when I saw this place that I had to stay at. Absolute filth abounds.I was disgusted to see my bed did not have clean linens . The bathroom was like a dirty storage sp. poop (lots) on toilet seat , along with much soil. bathtub filled with various items, ie: old commodes and other equipment, pillows, and much more. ledge above sink filled with used plastic cups, old vases old toothbrushes and more. The food is near inedible. Last nights dinner was three mounds of different colored mushy stuff. Old, dried food clinging to bedside table. Meds either No delivered or not delivered in a timely manner. I could go on and on. If you're appalled by filth, unsanitary conditions, inept help, and negligent staff, this is NOT the place to come! I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut this place down.

I was left like this for almost an hour till EMT's were called.

Their care for very old and very sick people, some left unresponsive after strokes was full of humanity. I spent at the Lawton Center 2 weeks and all my requests were met with such willingness and smile that I wanted to ask for something else just to see this expression of kindness and benevolence. I would easier trust my own mother to them than to myself, because they were really SKILLED. I asked my friend working in the medical field how such good work of personnel could be achieved? She answered that it could be only the result of responsible supervision of the attentive bosses. I met Lawton Center's Administrator Dan Daly and Director of Nursing Natasha Daragan, who WERE responsible for their crew's coordination and hard work. They themselves are watching everything like hawks and it shows. I appreciated the work of physical therapists who helped patients as a team and individually. The case worker Rudy also was very helpful in complicated and nerve-wrecking dealings with insurance. Absolutely fantastic was CNA Sheryl, who was not only superbly professional, but personally very kind. The society which cares so much for sick and elderly is a pinnacle of civilization. I went to two different massage therapists before finding Lidys. It is one thing going to a LDM specialist and another to go to someone with a nursing background and understands what your body goes through during the recovery process. I had fibrosis growing in my back and the two specialists I saw before Lidys did not mention it or try to address the problem at all. I've recovered very well and am extremely happy with the results. The first 48 hours after surgery were the most challenging. I experienced pain, swelling, and blurry vision. I wasn't able to care for myself during that time, but thankfully, I had arranged for Lidys to take care of me. I met with Lidys before my operation, and I was very impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. I decided immediately that she would be the perfect post-operative care nurse for me. Lidys picked me up from the surgeon's recovery room 12 hours after my surgery and brought me back to my hotel room. She was by my side every step of the way during those first difficult 48 hours--helping me eat, sleep, stand, walk, and use the bathroom. Lidys is highly knowledgeable about pain management. I was in a lot of pain and needed Norco regularly, but she was very careful about balancing the medication to avoid constipation, which could have affected my healing. She scheduled my doses with precision and care to ensure I was comfortable and healing properly. She is also an expert in operating the AquaCool system. Because I had blepharoplasty, she carefully used cotton pads to protect my eyelids before applying the cooling mask. Lidys truly went above and beyond--she gave me gentle massages, made nourishing soups, and even called my friend daily to update them on my condition. After the initial 48 hours, I arranged for another caregiver to continue my care, and Lidys personally trained her on how to manage my medications and recovery routine. I truly believe that without Lidys's exceptional care, I would not have recovered so quickly or smoothly. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of post-operative recovery support.

I wanted to write a review to share how pleased and grateful I am for the dietary care he is receiving. My dad is a strict vegetarian with a very particular diet that he has been on his entire life and I was not sure if he would be able to sustain it after being moved into Central Gardens. So I made a special request on his behalf to make sure he got some of the dietary items he could eat and OMG, Johanna was an angel. She is who I spoke to about my dad's dietary needs and it's been almost a year now and she has steadily gone above and beyond to make sure my dad was taken care of. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make his stay as comfortable and healthy as possible. Her attitude is so pleasant and joyful and that makes us feel good under the circumstances of having to be confined to a bed. How patients are treated is so important and we are filled with gratitude about their willingness to accommodate his dietary restrictions. We have many options for his nursing home care but I am keeping him put there because of caregivers like Joanna. I thank God every day for her because it makes all the difference in a patient's life. Overall, I have had pretty good experiences with most of the staff and nurses there and me and my dad are happy with his care. But I wanted to do a special review regarding the dietary person because that is crucial to a satisfactory stay at a nursing home. Thank you Johanna Sucgang for your concern and care for my father Ron. Warmly, Kelly
