This company is deceitful, dishonest, and completely disreputable…read more They recently rebranded as Pergola Design Studio, right as they abandoned numerous Houston homeowners and their projects. The 8741 Katy Fwy location has cycled through multiple names (VKB Kitchen and Bath, Pi Kitchen and Bath, Pi Pergola, Kitchen and Bath Shop), and are all tied to CEO Paul Panah Ibrahimov. Their Houston project manager, also formerly manager over the Alexandria, Chantilly, and Fairfax, VA locations, has operated under two names: Marko Ozcelik and Marko Gorkem. Our experience mirrors countless others: Dangerous workmanship: Our entire kitchen was wired incorrectly, left in an extremely dangerous and hazardous state, and did not meet code. After Pi abandoned our project, we had multiple licensed electricians and a city inspector independently review the work. Each said it was the worst residential electrical job they had ever seen. We had to pay out‑of‑pocket to completely rewire the kitchen and redo drywall--work we had already paid Pi for. They also improperly removed part of a load‑bearing wall, reinstalled it out of level, and made noncompliant structural cuts. Not to mention the countless other things they damaged such as our moldings, wood floors, and cabinets. Chronic delays and excuses: Like dozens of other reviews, the pattern is the same: gain trust, take payment, do poor work, then hide behind endless excuses or disappear altogether and abandon the homeowner in the midst of their project. We repeatedly rearranged work, medical appointments, and important commitments for scheduled renovation work, only for no one to show on countless occasions. The explanations were constant and ever‑changing: "emergency" overseas trips by the project manager, who left without notice or communication, scheduling issues, workers sent to the wrong house, lack of response or instructions from the project manager to the subcontractor (despite repeatedly claiming they weren't using subcontractors -- another lie), vehicle issues, and repeated claims that workers were 'on the way' when they never arrived. Major supply delays: Cabinets were delayed for 6.5 weeks. We were told they were "in town" on April 16, yet they didn't arrive until June 3. The packing slip contradicted the timeline we were given, raising yet again another concern about honesty. Total abandonment: Starting June 10, 2026, they went completely radio silent. The project manager (Marko Ozcelik/Gorkem), designer (Vera/Irmak Ciftci), local showroom, and main company line all stopped responding despite repeated calls, texts, emails, and letters. We have now been without a kitchen for nearly four months while also paying additional costs to correct dangerous and unacceptable work. Concerning review patterns: The positive Google reviews for this location raise some red flags. Many of the positive reviewers also leave glowing reviews for appliance companies tied to the former manager of this location. Additionally, some reviews appear to be written by employees themselves, including one posted under the name "Irmak", which matches one of the two first names used by the designer. Other locations are also positively reviewed by employees as well. Please take these warnings seriously. Research thoroughly before engaging with this company. If this review prevents even one homeowner from experiencing the stress, financial loss, and disruption we've endured, it will have been worth writing.

May 27, 2026, they show up with a demolition team. The total time spent on the project was 4 days for 5 weeks with a team of one, sometime two people. Today I have a new contractor finishing their mess and giving me back my bathroom. Reach out to Trewick Custom Renovations if you're looking for a real professional. They showed up with a team of 3 including the project manager. The only time I saw the project manager (Marco) was to collect a check..... What a scam....

We were so impressed on how well she understood the concept of what we envisioned. United Kitchen gave us a very reasonable quote without any add ons. The crew was very friendly, professional and very fast, but perfectionist during the cabinet installation and the granite fabrication/installation process. Our kitchen make over was completed in two days, and of course it looks like a million dollar kitchen to us. Thank you so much United Kitchen! I'm looking forward to working with you in the future. Day of install came and one of the panels was going vertically and everything else horizontally. Reached out to John and after a little back and forth he agreed to replace the panel at no extra charge. When day of replacement came it was only a crew of 2 guys, they struggled a little to move stove and were concerned about gas line as they were unsure how to close it, the guy in charge took them outside and told them to be quiet, stop complaining and get it done. 3 months after replacement section was installed and final payment was made my countertops cracked! I reached out again via email to John, several people from his team came out to look at countertops a couple of times and I was told they'd replace them once they had the same material leftover from another job. That was over a year ago! I repeatedly reached out to John and James who now no longer works with John and I was just given more excuses. I consulted with another company and I was told the reason for counters cracking was most likely bad installation since there were no signs. We also paid for cabinet lighting and lights went out a day after installing after having guy come out multiple times we gave up. I have recently filed a complaint with the BBB, countertops should have come with some type of warranty for at least a year.

The Kitchen took a little over 4 weeks! The demo crew walked in on November 4th and the cleaning crew walked out on December 4th! Honest! We 1st hired The Showroom for a master bath remodel in 2008. Mark Carter is part owner & designer & Mark did a fantastic job with the lay-out & color scheme. This was a "right down to the wall studs & slab" rebuild. Demoed the old jakuzi, tiny shower, Hollywood lighting, vanity, sliding mirror closet doors & carpet. Came back with 24" tile flooring, a big glass walled shower with rain head & bench, cabinetry with bun feet, maximized the closet user friendliness & updated all lighting. We lived in that house another 10 yrs & never had a complaint about labor or materials. Good job, Mark, we loved that bathroom. We moved to a 1983 vintage house in 2018 & in September 2019 we hired The Showroom to update the kitchen. This also was a "bare stud" project. Mark now does his design work on computer so you see how everything will look & fit. The design & workmanship were good as ever & materials even better. All we knew was we needed more useable space & we had a color scheme in mind so we told Mark & got out of his way. The results are as good or better than for the old bathroom. The drawers glide as if on air & close themselves with a gentle shove & likewise, the cabinet doors never slam. We have so much more useable space we still haven't filled all the drawers or cabinets. We definitely recommend The Kitchen & Bath Showroom & would (probably will) use them again.
