Kenji and Max looked after me and were both brilliant. They gave thoughtful advice, really listened to what I wanted, and helped me narrow down the choices (which isn't easy when there are so many great options!). The whole experience felt genuinely personal rather than transactional. I'm absolutely delighted with my new specs - and they were ready much quicker than I expected. I attempted to buy another pair of smart glasses from them recently and they advised me to go direct to Ray-Ban as they would void the warranty if they fit my prescription. I took their advice and ray-ban needed my PD. Contacted them back for this information and they have refused to release my information. I understand them not wanting to lose business but they signposted me to begin with. When I challenged Sarah on the phone she said I was being rude and was hanging up on me. They have completely avoided me. Not responded to emails or calls. They have lost my custom and forced me to send a SAR. Stressful situation with no customer care whatsoever. Since getting my glasses from Vision Express in Summer 2015 I have been satisfied with their service, which was sadly on a branch by branch basis, some being good, and some being not-so good, luckily this was one of their good stores. I was upset to not be greeted by a member of staff, and for them not even to say They'll be with me in a few minutes, despite me raising my voice and suggesting I just leave the repair. They do have a decent selection of glasses here, but the selection is only small and they have the expensive, designer brands and cheaper brands and nothing in between. The store doesn't seem to get really busy, but you can still expect to wait. The guy who served me was very nice, he sorted my glasses out quick, with a machine next to him, which I've sadly found to be uncommon for vision express, and we also talked about the football scores with Fabregas scoring a last minute penalty against West Ham to make the final result 2-2, and Leicester City defeating Crystal Palace 1-0 while I was there. This store is not perfect, it is far above average on some aspects, and way below / slightly below on a few others, therefore I feel 3 stars is fair, although I'd have preferred to give 2.5, I feel 3 stars is much more deserved than just two for this place.

The staff here were super friendly, from the fantastic optician Mohammed who even warranted a compliment from Boots when I picked up my new glasses, to the lovely women who took my details and run the floor. They did have a good selection of glasses, I only went to another optician after my eye test here for my glasses as they stocked the Dolce and Gabanna brand which they don't seem to stock here, plus they were running a better promotional offer to make it worthwhile. It was so easy getting an appointment, you can make them in-store or online, they did move my appointment earlier but this was better for me, they would have kept it at the same time but didn't want me to be rushed during the test and then looking at picking up new glasses. They did close early on one occasion, I did turn up five minutes before closure, after making them aware this was addressed. 4* - Great Opticians, solve problems well when they do occur. Having a better selection of glasses to compete with Boots, Vision Express and Specsavers should be a priority. It is a shame in the refurb they didn't improve technology such as with the eye testing machines instead of the heavy lense frames, similar to Vision Express.

This frame also cost me £57 less than what i was quoted the first time. The optician was friendly and insisted that she had other models in stock that i would like more (and cost less) and im glad i took her up on the offer.
