This was very, very disappointing experience. Physically the buses were fine. But I have never been on a hop-on-off bus that didnt have a live guide. Yes, the bus had headphones that you plug into an outlet that play pre-recorded commentary. Problem is, for the full tour, there is maybe 5% of commentary and the rest is just music. No one to ask questions, no one to embellish the sites, no one to tell cutesy stories about this place or that. It was also very hard to decipher what building or site the recorded comments was referring to since there was no one to point to it. My other experiences in London, Rome, Nashville, and PIttsburgh (yes, even Pittsburgh), were much much better. Do some research and pick a bus line that has live guides, that usually work for tips, (which is just fine with me.) read more
