I went in to change my gel polish and the lady that did my nails took off my old gel polish with acetone in a bag and put my whole hand in there. My hands are literally flaking skin because of how dry they are. And at the end she put lotion on my hands, rubbed it in for maybe 3 seconds and then wiped it off with a rag. read more

Ripped my acrylic nails off it hurt so bad!!! And then they did not do anything after they ripped them off... so disappointing!!

I walked in to get a basic pedicure and a classic manicure. The price was $49.00 for both. The nail tech never gave me her name but was busy working on my pedicure first. The pedicure was better than the manicure but I wish the nail tech would actually file the calluses better of the heel. There is nothing worse than flaking skin on the heels after you get a pedicure. The manicure was less than expected. As you can see from the photo there are hanging pieces of skin that should have been clipped. But the real problem I had was there is a vertical tear in my right pointer finger and I've had to get a little nail gel put on to prevent the nail from tearing further. I asked the tech if she would just put gel on it. Nope. She had filed it down and said it would last. I wasn't home more than 3 hrs. before a small chunk of polish came off that finger nail. DAMN IT! Now I get to wear a band aid on that finger until I find a PROFESSIONAL nail tech to redo my manicure. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS SALON. they are very unprofessional. read more

Gel polish chipped off my daughters toe nail hours after getting it done. The tech skipped steps and rushed her pedicure I'm assuming bc she was younger and wouldn't know any better. She gets pedicures often and knows what a pedicure entails. This place was a bust! read more

Absolutely not. Never again. Worst pedicure experience I've ever had. Ice cold water, cut me several times, burned me with towels. I paid 50 bucks to waste my time. I'm sure others have had a good experience but whoever I got needs a refresher. Terrible. read more

I go to get my acrylics done every so often but I highly recommend if u want ur acrylic to last! Mine last around 1 1/5 months and honestly they always get the design I want and it's a little pricey but so worth it! So elegant and they always so kind! I recommend 100% read more

These people have no interest in customer service whatsoever. Like others who have written reviews, my manicure and pedicure were both very rushed, including nicking my fingers a few times in the process. It's the worst $60 you'll ever spend. The manager in this place treats it like it's a factory. The faster people get moved in and out the more money they make. It's terrible. read more

Praise be! I used to come to this nail salon as a previous business and always had incredible service but the shop was a bit untidy (Christmas lights year round). After finally deciding to get a pedicure post pandemic, I came back to the spot and it was under new ownership with an incredible new look. I must admit, I don't miss the old place one bit. Not only is this salon clean, organized, but spacious! And the people are so incredibly hard-working and friendly. I brought my laptop, logged in some office hours, and got one pedicure! Work hours well spent! read more

Believe it or not, great nail salons are hard to come by. While visiting my niece we decided to make a trip to Gainesville to hang out (GainesvilleGeorgia that is), and wanted to get our nails done. I saw this nail salon & was skeptical because it had a sign indicating it just opened. I took a chance anyhow AND am soooooo glad I i did! What shoukd have been a very classic (plain) mani-pedi felt like a whole pamper session. My niece & I thoroughly enjoyed the experience & our mani-pedi!! Now as for the staff. There was no rush & a lot of care was given. From wine to water provided, they absolutely make sure you are comfortable. This salon is a must go to. I don't live here, but I promise EVERYTIME I'm in the area, this nail salon will see my face! Thank you all firba wonderful experience. read more

Rude people- When asked what kind of pedicure I wanted and I asked for basic, they said you don't want this one? I said no the basic is fine. She literally stared at me from that point on neither the nail tech nor the pedicure tech would look at me they rushed through the process and ignored me the whole time...I'll never go back read more

I recently moved to Gainseville and was looking for a new nail salon to go to regularly. I got Peter for my acrylic set and was disappointed with the overall experience. He was very rough, cutting me with the drill multiple times. The color looks clumpy and I felt like he was rushing the whole time. Would not recommend and will be looking for another salon. Sandra who did my toes did an excellent job though. Sad my hands didn't come out good. read more

Upon arrival, the nail techs tried to coerce me into purchasing a more expensive package. I declined to upgrade and was subsequently regulated to techs who were nice but not nearly as skillful as they should have been. For example, neither I nor my sister were placed under the UV nail drying lamps. As a result of this and other shortfalls, the service provided by the salon was by far the worst I have ever received. read more

Just had a great pedicure here! Brought my mom for her birthday. Everything is brand new (only 3 weeks old) and beautiful! There are probably 20 pedicure chairs and they also have 3 kids pedicure chairs. My daughter loved that! Lee did my nails, and while I am not sure who did the other ladies in our party, I do know that everyone was very friendly and did a great job. I got the Honey Pedi, which apparently includes a run with a massager on the legs and feet. It was awesome! Definitely coming back here. read more

This place is TERRIBLE, i took my 5 year old for her birthday along with 4 other girls around the same age, made an appointment at 1. Let's start by saying i didn't leave until 3, because they were so busy tending to the other people walking into the salon rather then the person that walked in with about 9 people. My toes are hideous, my niece didn't get her nails done until 2:30, mind you we got there at 1:00! My niece nails were ugly and they did terrible, my daughters nails have no polish on them after about 4 hours. This place is terrible and the manager and the young girl are trash also, because i came back to get my niece nails redone and they didn't say sorry they argued with me about the quality of her nails and it was proof that they looked terrible and i asked for gel and they painted it with regular paint, needless to say, stick with who you normally go too! read more

So much to say... I went in to get previous SNS removed and a new set put on. He started cutting my nails without looking underneath to see where my skin was and he cut me pretty deep with the nail clipper. He ignored that it happened and went ahead and put a new nail right on top while he prepped the rest of the nails. Like I said I came in for SNS, but he decided to do acrylic for whatever reason. I always get coffin and I explained that I like them to be skinny and not really wide, my nails are so wide and at least half of them are crooked and because he did acrylic and gel I can't file them myself. Lastly, they were expensive and I gave a tip because I felt pressured from the sign they have about tipping, I shouldn't have tipped anyone for making me bleed. This was my third time here and it will be my last! read more

I went in today for the first time and had a great experience. The salon is large, clean and very prettily decorated. I have natural nails which I break all the time and I wanted something nice for the long weekend and upcoming travel. Tianna took care of my nails and was sweet, friendly, and thorough. She was able to shape some of my stubs into a nice square shape and give my hands a "put together" look with a gel manicure. I would definitely recommend you give City Nails a try, I'll be back. Thank You, again! read more

Drive right by. My Mom & I were walk-ins for a manicure and pedicure. There were 5 employees and only 1 other customer. I hate it when they do both at the same time, there's no relaxation. You got one person telling you what to do with your feet and someone else pulling on your arms across you doing your manicure. There was no rush on our end and I told them so....there was no need for this. The male nail tech did the manicures in COLD water. No lotion or massage after. Left my natural nails jagged. No relaxing massage with pedicure either. Heels were rough for both of us after, worse than before. Never again. read more

we have been coming here for several months. They have several skilled technicians. That being said I will never be back. We have had two different male technicians that are rude. They struggle to understand what you request and get mad if it is different than what they thought. They have called me names, made fun of my daughter's finger and made inappropriate comments about my daughter's body. Female techs are nice and professional as well as Peter. Everyone else is garbage read more

I love this place! The nail techs are all very professional and personable. I have looked long and hard for a nail salon since moving up to Gainesville. I went here for the first time with my mom and it was not a good experience. The lady that did my pedicure was all over the place and worried about getting costumers up front and kept having to stop in between. I understand that it might be busy but it felt very rushed and she was more focused on her surroundings than my nails. When using the callus remover tool the lady went to far into skin and three days later it still hasn't healed and hurts when I walk. I've never had that happen to me and my nails weren't painted the best either. If you come to this location get Peter because he seemed to be the best. My mom got Peter... He took his time and made it a good experience for my mom. She said, "it was the best pedicure/ chair massage I've had in a long time". So that's why I gave this review two stars. Will not be returning to this location! (This is my first review and I wouldn't complain for no reason) I think people are leaving reviews on the wrong location.. so this is why they don't have many bad reviews. read more

Had great service; only complaint was having to wait a little too long. My husband and I had made appointments on 4/10/21 for 4:15, but we waited a very long time. It was 6 p.m. before we were complete. If I am making an appointment, then have the staff available to accommodate the appointment! Other than that, the manicure and pedicure were superb! read more

Usually a big fan but don't think I will be returning. i had Peter and I paid extra for a honey pedicure that last all of 20 min.

Just moved to Gainesville from Florida and have been looking for a new spa to get my feet done at, my boyfriend and I were having a relaxing start to our Sunday and he wanted to treat us to some pedicures. Honestly, if it were an option to give no stars that's exactly what this place would be receiving from me. Let's start by saying that my boyfriend and I walked into the spa as some unhappy customers were on their way out due to the fact that they were sat and then not tended to for an extensive amount of time. That should've been my first sign but, the lady at the front desk was quick to greet us and get us sat in chairs. Low and behold, my boyfriend and I waited 30 minutes sitting with our feet in water that was cold by this time without being greeted by a tech or being checked on by the lady who sat us. As soon as I started getting up to put my shoes back on that's when she frantically started hollering from the front of the spa making her way over to inform us that two techs were finishing up and that we would be tended to. I explained to her that we were on a tight schedule as we had a dinner to attend and did not have anymore time to wait being that we had already sat for 30 minutes, which by then we would've been halfway through or nearly done with our pedicures had we been tended to when she originally sat both of us. She didn't seem to understand and kept insisting that we wait, after going back and forth with her and repeating myself several times she finally let up. This is exactly what she did to the previous couple that had walked out as we were walking in, they kept trying to explain to her that they were leaving and no longer wanted to wait but she kept being very adamant and negligent to what they were saying. All I can say from someone who goes to spas regularly to get my nails and feet done - is that a wait is ok, honestly it's expected. Spas are a high demand, so it's reasonable to have to wait. But, as a business you should always be mindful to let your guests know when there will be one so that they are able to decide their next move. Sitting people immediately just to sit them and have them not be tended to for half an hour is very mindless and unprofessional. It's a simple concept. I will leave this review by saying that the interior is very beautiful and I'm sure it is a lovely spa, just needs some work on time management. read more

I don't even want to give it a one star. I came in around 610. The guy told me that they closed at 730pm and that either i could get my toes or my nails done but not both. That's crappy customer service. Now you don't get my business at all and I'm the first review! *THUMBS DOWN* read more

If I could leave no stars, I would! The original owner Lee did a fantastic job on my nails and I was thrilled; not so much on the two pedicures I got there around the same time--awful! Lee has since sold the top to Sally and things are so bad that I'll never go there again! Brian did my pink/white acrylic fill-in and I'm pretty sure that he had never done them before. Even though I questioned him several times on the colors he brought out, he couldn't seem to understand what I was saying and had to get someone else to talk to me. this was the worst job that I have ever had! I don't think he had ever done these before even though they are very basic. The next and last time I went, Sally did my nails (new owner). When I made the appointment, I told her that I wanted pink/white acrylic fill-in. Again, I had to make sure she was using the right colors. When she finished the pink portion, I asked her when she was going to add the white since her method was different. She then told me that she didn't know how to do it and would paint on the white at the end. I told her several times that was NOT what I wanted. I wish I had gotten up and left right then as my nails are a mess now! I wonder if any of them have had any training? Anyway, I will never set foot in there as long as they are running the shop! I'm also reporting them to the Georgia Board of Cosmetology. A number of ladies in my neighborhood who had been clients of Lee, are now leaving for other shops. read more
