I went in on Sunday, October 5, for a full set of acrylics with gel polish. I asked for a simple design. I was charged $75 for this. I tried to live with it. I just couldn't. It's absolutely terrible. Today I went back and asked for a polish change, I told them I was just there on Sunday and I didn't like what she did. A new person repainted my nails solid black, but he only applied one coat of gel polish. I still have streaks and bubbles, and he charged me another $30 So upsetting!! I will absolutely never go back to this place. I've been going there for two years, and it's really so maddening. read more

The lady cut my cuticle so badly it would not stop bleeding, but she continued to paint my nails like nothing had happened which meant smearing my blood into the polish! See photo. The worst manicure I have ever had. I had regular polish removed yet the nail tech soaked my hands in acetone in a baggy that he called milk (I asked). Apparently, this is the cheap and lazy way to soften cuticles and now my hands feel like leather. My polish is uneven. Super unhappy. Don't waste your time. read more

I researched this place and saw the amazing designs on the Google info. I called at 1:45pm and asked to make an appointment with someone who can "create designs". I was told "anyone" could do it but was asked to come at 3pm. I agreed and traveled from the Commerce area with my 81 yo mother in law in tow. I arrived and the first thing I stated was "I called about the designs. I was told to come at 3pm". After clearing up who wanted what service, I was directed to sit in the pedicure chair with John and Edna. I asked Edna was she afraid to remove my ingrown toenails. As a matter of fact, when I told them I wanted my feet done, I said SEVERAL TIMES, "I need someone who is not afraid to remove my ingrown". When Edna sat in front of me, I asked her the same question. She smiled and nodded her head which I found it meant she really did not understand what I was asking. She began my feet and then John came over. He started out pretty nice. Told me he had to remove my tips, that were just 3weeks old BUT he seemed pretty knowledgeable so I agreed. My next statement to him was about the "designs". They asked me for a pic several times in which I replied "I don't have one. I just like what I saw on the goggle listing and asked if someone can do them and be creative". John tells me to "look on their page and find something I like. John then told me "just chose and the design will drive the color". I asked John if the pics posted were the only pics available from which i could choose. I received a resounding "yes!" From John. John was very rough working on my nails... He pulled, squeezed and twisted my hand and arm in the easiest positions for him. I am disabled so, I walked away with my neck and back irritated. I did ask John to be careful but he either didn't understand me or didn't care. I reminded him again about the designs. He got up at the last UV light sitting and TOLD me to change my hands when the timer went out. I thought he was going to get the nail art supplies but I looked over and he started serving someone else. I thought, someone else would come do the designs. But He came back with a bag of hot dark orange liquid and stuck my hands in it. He did not explain what it was, tell me what's next or ask me if I wanted it. As a matter of fact, there was a younger first gen working there offering those around him something to drink...guess who wasn't offered a thing!! So, as John motioned for me to stick my hands in the bags, I thought he was using some soap and would wipe them clean. I had no idea...THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME!. I got back to my seat and had no idea what was next. I was expecting my designs. Lo and behold, guess where John is...doing the other person's nails. He did not say "thank you, you can put your shoes on and go up and pay" or "we're all done. Thank you!!" I had to ASK someone if he was finished. I found he had kicked my black tennis shoes out if his way while doing my nails and had gotten stuff all over them. my socks were kicked towards the back of the pedicure chair, nestled in nasty floor dust, dirt, and grime. NO ONE said anything about my designs. So I asked "why and where are the designs for which I specifically came". I'm upset and I proceed to walk to the register. John is sitting right in front with his new client. I turn and tell him he didn't do the designs for which I SPECIFICALLY STATED I WAS THERE. He had the AUDACITY to lie and say he didn't know I wanted them. I was livid. He was the WORSE experience I've had from a nail place. I must admit, John did a good job on the first half of my nails. But what difference does that make if he doesn't completing my request? There are two OTHER girls working there of which I was TOTALLY intrigued and impressed. I wanted to come back and try their services! John killed all of that for me. I'll NEEEEVVVVVEEEEERRRRR go back there!! They could have had five customers for a long time. Can someone recommend a GOOD nail place in the surrounding areas of Commerce. One who does amazing designs and are customer service friendly as well as motivated. I'm happy to tip accordingly! "Ten minute wait" my a$$. They told every person who came in it would be a ten-minute wait... even people who came in after me and I'd been waiting much longer than 20 minutes. I don't appreciate this lack of transparency. I came in with someone else, and we wanted our pedicures together. Instead of being HONEST about the wait and inability to take us together, they started on my friend. After I sat there for another 20 minutes (almost an hour total wait) I told them to finish with my friend but it was no longer worth it to me. So I can't speak to the quality of their actual nail work - but my friend said it was nothing special so NOT worth the wait. There are too many nail salons around to put up with this kind of thing, IMHO. read more

Super rude. The gentleman doing my nails kept huffing and puffing and hitting my fingers. He literally just had to ask me to move or move my fingers he didn't have to be so rude. He got nail glue all over my hands (I told him I didn't want tips and he told me my nails were too short (never had a problem EVER before when just getting solid colored SNS) and proceeded to give me tips) He huffed at me and clicked at me like a cat.?! Wtf?! I told him I had a hurt shoulder so reaching across my body was difficult. Instead of moving me to a table (I was getting a mani and a pedi) he proceeded to huff at me, hit my hands and pull my arm... I was literally in tears. No one else said anything. I guess that's normal here. After he saw me crying he was like "oh no, are you okay" I wanted to scream. Worst experience ever. The guy that did my toes was just as rude. And he did a horrible job. Didn't shape my toes, cut them horribly. And he was so rough, I left with a bruise on my feet. He kept talking about "Americans " huffed and laughed and proceeded to SQUEEZE the life out of my feet and legs. I literally have a bruise on the top of my foot. It's hard to see because I'm so pale haha but I'm never returning. Save yourself the headache. read more

Today was my second time at TB Nails & Spa, and I am now hooked. After the first time, I tried a couple of other salons to be with friends, but the SNS cracked and broke off within 1 to 2 weeks. I was used to the SNS lasting at least 3, if not 4, weeks and then only needing to go back because my nails had grown out. I called and got right in this morning. My technician paid attention to every detail and even did an arm/hand massage, which I haven't received from anyone since giving up traditional manicures. Wow! I loved it and schedule my next mani/pedicure. I'll be back, TB Nails and Spa!!!!! read more

honestly the previous owners were a lot better. i went 3 days ago and already TWO of my nails are popped off from doing nothing. not just that but the guy that did them was very rude. he's the same guy that did my friends nails and she got sick in the middle of him doing and he wouldn't let her get up to go to the bathroom. maybe the other workers do a good job but i wish i got his name to let everyone know to not let him do them. If I could give a zero star rating I would. I came in with my nails done at a different salon and they still looked fine but my friends were going so I decided to tagalong. All I wanted was a polish change. I asked the lady before I even sat down how much it would be and I showed her a picture. She told me it would be $25. I agreed and sat down. After she had filed all of my color off on all of my nails she then told me it would be $37. My friend sitting next to me was getting a fill and hers was $45. I told the lady that it didn't make sense that she change the price on me after I already sat down and she did not seem to care. It made no sense that my polish change was going to only be a couple dollars less than a completely different service which my friend was getting. I ended up leaving with no polish on my nails and I'm looking awful. I am Extremely upset and now my nails look awful for Valentine's Day. I would like to add that I have never written a review in my life but I had such a bad experience here that I downloaded an account to make one. I am extremely upset. read more
