I only gave 1 star because it is a requirement! The salon is beautiful & clean however my nails were HORRIBLE! They were so bad I asked the gentleman to STOP, he insisted that he would fix my nails and they were only getting worse! The nail for my right middle finger was broken off earlier that day and the guy never added a tip back on after I told him and my natural nail was significantly shorter. The powder was being applied to my nails extremely THICK. My nails were all different sizes and lengths. Finally I made him stop. Two female workers came up to look and they acted as if I was over reacting. (And of course they began talking in their language). I have never left a salon in the middle of the service. I will post pics below of what I wanted, my nails during the process, and my nails after I went to my regular nail salon(Polished Nail Bar). I will never stop here again! read more

I certainly recommend Venice, Nail and Spa. I used to go to another nail salon and they ruined my nails. They had ground down deep into the quick of my fingernail beds, and I thought I would never have my nails done again because they bled and were so thin. Annie really took care of me and repaired my nails. She does an excellent job with my gel builder, and my nails have never looked better and extremely healthy. Everyone else also does a great job with my pedicures and the owner is extremely nice and she is always happy to see her clients. Great job and I will continue to return all the time. read more

I went to get my nails done on January 5th, they looked fine. I went home and got out of the shower and the polish on 2 of my nails came off. Last time I went there I got red for Christmas and they didn't even take off the old red dip powder that I had last time. I went back today and got 2 nails repainted with no charge. Then tonight I got out of the shower again and the polish on another finger came off. I don't think it's right to repaint over old polish that you didn't even attempt to take off. Horrible service since new ownership and staff took over. I was a customer for over 10 years. Today was my last time. I even refused their offer for a free pedicure to make up for it. I left after 2 hours and still didn't have polish on my toes. They were so disorganized and she didn't know what she was doing. I went in for the organic pedicure. Hardly any time was spent actually massaging or doing anything. My toenails weren't cut straight and were filed crooked. Came home to fix it and painted them myself. This place used to be great. I went a few weeks ago, and one of my SNS nails broke. I figured I was just really rough on it during all the holiday prep and such. Just left after getting a new set of SNS. I had one tip put on the nail that broke, and somehow I have super glue all over both hands. There are several nails that you can see the old SNS through the new color. My nails were not filed evenly. The left had was much longer than the right, so I had to ask her to fix that, which I don't think should be a necessary request. I just want smooth, uniform, and I haven't been able to get that the last few times at this place. Three chances to make me happy, and they've failed. The first two were great, but they've been consistently below par since then. I'll be looking a new nail place. Now that I think about it, I've had nails break the last two sets I've gotten there. I had a great pedicure! But I also got a gel mani which turned out to be trash. It was a different person (the manager it seemed like) who did my mani and because of her I'm not coming back. She didn't ask what length or shape I wanted she just cut my length off entirely (I have a hard time keeping any length on my nails without tips so I was super excited that they were finally what I wanted. Then she filed until there was no length at all and they still weren't straight. Then she did the gel paint which is not even and it looks like the top coat had flecks of red and black. When I pointed this out to her, she said "ok". When I just looked at her in silence she offered for me to come back another day (ANOTHER DAY???) and she would repaint them. I could tell both of my big toes were bleeding during the process and I also had to wince with pain audibly but it had no effect, she just kept going. After I left, I just thought I would never go back. It has been 4 days now since the pedicure and both of my big toes are infected. The salon was also very nonchalant about what had happened. Don't go to this salon!! I went for the first time this week and the results were HORRIBLE. Kei did my SNS nails. I use red polish and the red powder was all over my nicked cuticles. The nails were uneven and bumpy and every nail was a different length. After she finished my nails, I went to wash my hands and Kei was nowhere to be seen. I asked the receptionist if I was done. I finally found Venice and I really enjoy the atmosphere, it is pretty and the offer a fruity slushie along with other drinks, as well as fruit cups. (sometimes) Theyve always done a pretty good job on my nails, and all manicures come with the hot wax at the end which I enjoy! But the most important that I've had a really hard time finding in the area, is my gel stays on for a couple weeks. I have been here twice, the first time I went it was great, The young lady who did my nails was the bomb! She offered me a drink and gave me some fruit and did a really wonderful job on my nails. I get the coffin shaped nails so those take alot of work and she left them exactly how I had them pictured. This was about 3 weeks ago, close to the time that they had first opened. I went again yesterday and the lady who did my nails SUCKED. She was an older lady and she was so rude. She never spoke to me which I don't mind at all but she would literally throw my hands at me and just push and pull - She was way too aggressive.She left a dirty frozen drink that belonged to a different customer RIGHT next to me the entire time and never offered me anything like all of the other techs were offering their customer. All the nails on my left hand came out crooked. They look a hot mess. She never flattened them out and the acrylic is not smooth. I had picked out a color as soon as I got there and once she was going to paint my nails she said the polish was $3 more..... ughhh what? Doesn't the polish always come with the full set? I have never been charged extra for getting polish on my nails for a full set. I said okay and she said "Ah okay, it will be $36" Mind you a full set is $28 so she charged me $8 more for polish but I said it was fine. I think she might of been trying to get more money since it was coffin nails and those take alot more work. I usually tip $10 when I get that style but I only tipped her $5 and really i should of tipped less than that for the horrible job she did on my nails. I really won't be going back here. The work on my mani & pedi was just mediocre. My complaints are... nails were uneven in shape, toe nails barley cut down leaving my big toe looking like it never was cut, only one coat of very thin overcoat was put on when nails were finished.. I had to come home & put on another coat of clear and it didn't even last a week (no, I didn't get gel) but still what a rip off for $55. Also, I was never engaged in any conversation. I will not be back to this nail salon. First of all I went yesterday with my sister, it wasn't all that busy (like I've seen it in the past). We both waited over an hour for them to start on our nails (she was getting a pedicure I was getting SNS nails). While I was waiting at a chair other people would come in and they would start doing their SNS nails before doing mine... they didn't have an appointment. The owner just doesn't seem to care how long you have to wait, and I wish I would have just walked out the door (we were there from 3:15-5:30). Once I finally got going the guy doing my nails wasn't all that friendly and he just seemed frustrated. He would file some of my nails but forget others, which I'm honestly kind of thankful for because he ended up cutting me pretty deep on 3 fingers because he filed too close to my skin. My fingers are so sore today. Oh and if that isn't enough... I paid $40 for this... $40 for horrible customer service and bloody fingers. Do yourself a favor... go somewhere else. read more
