Positives - they were able to take me without an appointment on Saturday. Wait wasn't long and chair was clean and comfortable. Tina did a nice job on my deluxe pedicure. She is very gentle, the included calf massage and scrub were great, and my toes look very nice. Negative - my French manicure was not done very well. I asked the manicurist to make the white part not too thick, but she made it so thin it didn't even cover the white part of my nails. I didn't have time to ask for her to fix it so decided to just live with it. The worst part was that the manicure chipped in less than 24 hours. All I did after the manicure was go to a wedding. No housework, no gardening, or any activities that should be hard on a manicure. By the end of the wedding that evening, two nails were badly chipped and by the next day, several more had chipped. I just took all the polish off last night. $25 plus a $7 tip wasted. This was a regular French manicure, not gel or acrylics. I expected it to chip within a week, but I've NEVER had a manicure that didn't even last 24 hours. I don't live locally but if I did, I would ask for Tina for both the manicure and pedicure and see if it lasts longer. read more

I don't have acrylics done, just pedicures. I use my polish only bc I have a fav color. They do an excellent job. Friendly, courteous, prices reasonable. I especially wanted my rough calloused skin removed bc the last salon I went to wasn't through. I went on a Thursday, mid-afternoon about 2pm thinking I may not have to wait but they were very busy. This place is a joke. I got the same thing as i did for my birthday set and somehow the price went up $15 dollars in less then a month. The lady even admitted the lady was wrong, and gave me back my money. The lady was so mad i called her at she threw her pen at the counter and it hit us. I was in the area and needed to get my nails done, so I decided to give this place a try. I already had a full set and went in for a soak off, full set pink/white and pedicure. The shop was nothing spectacular but it was nice and clean. They weren't busy so I didn't have to wait long, which was great. My pedicure was mediocre but the French tip I got was nicely done. I appreciate the fact that they did my soak off in a timely manner so that took about 30 minutes. Now to the work they performed.... some of my nails were longer than other which was odd. The paint on my feet didn't even last 7 days and my nail popped off when I was washing my face 10 days after service. Now all my nails are lifting and coming off. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NOT RETURN! I can only give this place 1 star but would give zero if I could. $90 spent and two weeks later I'm spending another $100 to get my nails and toes done. read more

Yesterday I had a manicure and pedicure at PEARL'S. This was absolutely the very worst I have ever received. While the two women who performed the services were pleasant enough, I came away resolved to never go there again. Although the discussion of toenails is not exactly a charming conversation, as an elderly person, my toenails and quick beneath them are somewhat problematic to address as the nails have become thickened and tough and the cuticle excessive. As the technician worked on my feet I suggested that she use the grinder to shorten the nails. Instead she used it on the surface of my nail and before I could stop her ground the nail surface down almost to the skin. I could see it pink beneath the now very thin nail. Today my nail is blackened and damaged. The manicurist has "tremors" in her hands and should not be doing this sort of work. In working on my cuticles she repeatedly jabbed me and even after I pointed out that she had not removed all the cuticle, there was still some on the nails. In defense, at least she shaped my nails jsut as I wanted them. I'm not sure what to do about it, cancel the charge on my credit card? Call and complain to the owner? Probably nothing but I hope they read this and learn from it. I only posted a star because otherwise this review would not post. read more

I've been here multiple times and it never has been this bad. The customer service is normally not the best however certainly not the worst! However, I just left Pearl Nails & Tan and I highly believe that was the worst nail experience of my life. I'm usually not a negative person and multiple times I tried to change my attitude and give this person the benefit of the doubt and think maybe they are having a bad day, but when you are there for over 3 hours and she makes you bleed 3 times, it's very hard. First of all, as soon as I came in I said I wanted SNS nails, so I sit down and this lady asks me 3 or 4 times what I want. She then precedes to argues with me and said "I really think you should just get gel nails" which is fine, thank you for the help. However as I say "no thank you I want SNS" she rolls her eyes and shakes her head! There is much more I can complain about, but as I previously said, I'm not a negative person!
