Adults and kiddos out there eating and drinking. I made a mental note to myself to check 'em out. That I did ... I went there for lunch. They share a shopfront with Dang's burgers. Walk into the building and smack to the left is the Dang's burger ordering counter. To the right is Sunburst Wine Bar. The bar has a bar counter and chairs. The interior look is modern, unpretentious casual. Bright with lots of natural light. But if you're looking for a TV, they don't have any. The vibe is chill, unpretentious, welcoming, and family friendly. Family friendly bar?!? No, kids aren't allowed at the counter but are allowed on the outside patio and well as leashed dogs. The patio seating is tables and bench seating. The bar menu has draft beers, local wines. and canned drinks. They have flights. While partaking in a drink at the bar, you can even eat your Dang's food at the bar as well. The bartender was a sweetheart. Engaging with a great attitude. And may I add, she isn't a wimp. When there were no customers at the bar, she was stacking and moving drink boxes. Getting business done.

We had both wine and cocktails, and each was well-crafted and delicious. The bartender was friendly and got everything out quickly. The space felt polished but comfortable, perfect for enjoying a game or a casual drink. I'd give it a strong 4 stars; adding a signature element or more standout bites could push it to 5. Would I come back? Definitely.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Accountability…read more As locals, we enjoy supporting businesses in our community, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. We visited during the Avocado Festival, hoping to enjoy a meal away from the crowds. Although the restaurant was understandably busy, we were seated on the back patio and assured someone would be with us shortly. After waiting 30 minutes, we noticed a table seated after us was already receiving service. We asked the hostess for assistance and were told someone would be out soon. After another 10-15 minutes with no service, I went to the counter and placed our order myself. When I received the bill, I discovered I had been charged for another customer's order. I immediately notified the hostess, who explained that she was new and assured me the incorrect transaction would be voided before processing the correct order. However, later that evening, the incorrect charge was still showing on my credit card account. Over the next several days, I repeatedly tried to contact the restaurant. On my first call, I was told the owner/manager was unavailable. The next two days, no one answered. On the fourth day, an employee told me to speak directly with the owner/manager. I called again shortly before closing and was told she had stepped out but would return soon. I left my name, phone number, and a detailed message, having already provided my contact information when the billing error occurred. To this day, I have never received a return call. I ultimately had to dispute the incorrect charge with my credit card company. I understand that the festival brought large crowds and that mistakes happen. I was willing to be patient with the slow service and do not fault a new employee for making an honest error. What I find unacceptable is management's complete lack of follow-through, communication, and accountability. A simple phone call confirming that the incorrect charge had been reversed could have resolved the issue and preserved goodwill. Instead, I spent several days trying to correct a mistake that wasn't mine, only to be ignored. Good customer service is measured not only by how customers are treated when everything goes smoothly, but also by how a business handles problems. Unfortunately, this restaurant fell far short of that standard. Management's lack of responsiveness and accountability has left a very poor impression, and I hope they take customer concerns more seriously in the future.

Tasting Flights: $25 (waived with a 2-bottle purchase). Beer tasting flight: $20…read more This was only our second visit to Rincon Mountain's tasting room, but the experience was just as wonderful as the first time. This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!
