The best…read morecourses are not only fun visually, but the scenery is incorporated into the green: hit your ball INTO the lighthouse, OVER the hump, UNDER the shack, THROUGH the trapdoor, etc. It is also the most reasonably priced. I almost don't want to write a review, because it's rarely overly busy when we come, and we want to keep the secret, haha. The owners and employees are awesome people. They obviously take pride in their creation and sharing it with people. We have been coming for five years, and they are great at upkeep. On our first visit of this year, we noticed everything had a fresh coat of paint, new tee mats, and some new landscaping elements in preparation for the busy, warm months. The landscaping is professional and attractive. We also love that the course is adjoined on two sides by wild green space, so we often spot some cardinals and other birds while golfing. There is not a lot of shade. They are smart about mounting misters and umbrellas during the summer to help cool you off, but I wouldn't advise coming in the middle of a hot, still day if you are heat sensitive. Hours vary by season, and they tend to have extended hours anytime school's out (including Christmastime), so check the website or give them a call anytime you get the itch for a round of putt putt. We also like that you can play a second round for half price.

Review for the Disc Golf Course…read more I love this place. I only started playing disc golf recently because it's a more fun, less frustrating, and free-to-play alternative to ball golf. There's a lot of things I can say about this course, but I want to start out with the unfortunate cons first. Trash. There's a lot of it right around hole 5, then again from hole 10 on out. One of these days I'm going to bring some giant heavy duty trash bags and one of those grabber claw things so I can tidy up some of the holes. I already love this sport, and I think taking care of the course should be normal for all players. Same as in ball golf, if you take care of the course, the course takes care of you, right? Turner is memorable and challenging, but I think it's a fair place to practice. You will be exposed to a lot of different types of shots and looks, and I find new challenges every time I play there. Turner definitely favors players with more power on some holes. Especially the last one. For me, since I'm still very much a beginner, I see the longer holes as just more opportunities to practice! There's usually two porto-potties right by the practice basket before the first tee box. I don't think there's any public facilities along the course, which this place could definitely use, especially with how long it is. Perhaps that's something that can be pitched to the city some day. Bring lots of water on hot days because it's a really good hike. The distance and terrain aren't too bad though. I walked the entire course with my 4-year-old about a month ago and he only needed to be carried on the very last two holes. Overall, highly recommend. This is my go-to practice course, because the water hazards at Fritz keep eating my discs.

Condition is generally good, but terrain can be brutal with a lot of elevation changes, blind shots and wind issues on the hilltop fairways. Course also looks, feels and plays longer than the scorecard shows. Recently added on-cart gps is a nice addition. Only problem is that the gps constantly harps at you to stay on cartpaths-even when you are on the cartpaths Also, the carts will shut down at the slightests cartpath infraction. VERY ANNOYING Clubhouse is rather tired, but......green fees are generally affordable. Crosstimbers is definitely worth a try if you are up for a drive in the country.

The course was not busy at all and we were playing a good pace. we let everyone who caught up to play through. Around hole 9 we were approached by a bald headed manager who met us with nothing but attitude, disrespect, and was absolutely unprofessional. The entire interaction was just him yelling at us, not hearing us out and denying anything we had to say. This ruined the rest of the holes we were playing and killed the mood hard. What a horrible first experience. Safe to say will not be returning to this course. As a manager you should know better.

Some of the trails lead to neighborhoods, ponds and wildflower fields. There are a couple of wildlife that wander through the area like foxes, so that's something to keep in mind. The trails have demarcations that tell you how far you have walked. There are playgrounds, disc golf fields, open fields for soccer and football, basketball/tennis courts and benches to relax. All that's missing are water fountains and bathrooms.

There was a tent in the front selling food items before you got to the entrance. Once you cross the bridge and get your tickets, you are welcomed to the farm life! We got to ride Rosie the pony, plant magic pumpkin seeds and go through a maze, feed a piggie and the goats, haunted barn and say hello to the lemur! There were game stations for littles to play and a bakery in the corner. If you're a nursing mother, they have a special Momma Lounge to take care of baby, so thoughtful! Our family had a wonderful day trip to Irving with the farm animals!
