After multiple visits to the City Bites in Yukon we've decided to call it off permanently. The other reviews are spot on, read them. It appears not much has changed here over the years. The orders are often wrong, the staff less than friendly, sandwiches miss-marked, tables and drink area dirty and cluttered and food is not prepared consistently from visit to visit. Rarely does anyone wipe down dirty tables. Every place can have a bad day. However, this place is consistently off more than its on. Poor management? There are just too many other good choices to consider nearby when there is a good chance of a poor experience here. read more

This location has been very hit and miss! Have been shorted on order of baja tacos, had wraps that ate like a wrapped up tortilla and sandwiches with what seems like gallons of mayo. But today wife got a cali club, she ate half and when I went to eat the other half it was literally ran spouts, mayo and a little piece of bacon. I don't think this can be blamed on Covid. Guess we will drive into city to another location if craving CB but more than likely will just find somewhere else to get quick bites! read more

The moment I brought my 3 stepsons to the register to order their own food, the manager with multicolored hair, had major attitude. My youngest son is slightly on the spectrum of Autism and is specific in how he likes his food and we encourage our boys to order for themselves, and she was so bothered he took his time. He asked for his own custom sandwich to be toasted and she looked at him funny with an "okay, I guess we can do that." I ordered my Italian sub to be toasted as well and I specifically shared "I would like the bread, meat and cheese to be toasted, and instead of lettuce, substitute it for sprouts", again I got an eye roll and irritation in her voice. My fiancé finished our order of 4 sandwiches and a kids pizza meal and paid. 20 minutes later, with 2 other orders placed after us that received their food, I went up and asked for our food casually, and she then proceeded to share that they were waiting for the pizza to be done while our other 4 sandwiches sat on the counter, so I asked for our food while we wait for the pizza. My sons sandwich wasn't toasted, and my Italian sub wasn't toasted either, so I went back up to the counter to ask for it to be properly toasted like I requested and she went to tell me "well our bread is naturally toasted from when it's baked!", Ummm are you serious? So I corrected her on how to "toast a sub sandwich", 5 minutes later I got it back with all the toppings taken off, overly toasted and burnt and no toppings put back on, included the extra sprouts I paid for. Needless to say, it was the rudest and slowest experience I've had at any sandwich place and she was flat out so rude, giving dirty looks while staff members stared and chuckled, slow intentionally and we felt judged for our kiddos for "being different". I've managed restaurants and owned my own business, and I would NEVER treat anybody the way she did to us. I will NOT go back to this location. It'll be Bethany for us or I'll try Mustang. I've had City Bites once before a few years back, and I always remembered how good their baked potatoes were. You know how at a lot of restaurants when you order a potato, the top is really good but once all that is finished, you're left with bland potatoes and skin? Definitely not like that here. I've been wary of returning to City Bites for awhile only because of how empty this location is. Doesn't matter what time of day, but every time I drive by, it looks abandoned and I would often question if it was still open or not. Well anyways, after running some errands, this was on the way so I decided to stop by. I got the Mesquite Chicken Spud. It didn't come with anything and I thought I'd still be hungry so I got the 2 for 4.99 Chicken Salad and Egg Salad mini sandwiches. I was hoping I could just get one but they said I had to do the 2 for 4.99 special. Boo So, the spud was great. Just as tasty, fatty, and artery clogging as I remember. Very few spots of bland potato and even if you did run into that, there's plenty of butter and sauce to dip it in. This is probably something that I could only eat every few months because of how bad it is, but man oh man, it's pretty tasty. Delicious bites of chicken, spicy ranch, cheese, grilled ham, etc. Kind of expensive considering it only comes with the spud but oh well. They got the tasty part down. The salad sandwiches were pretty gross. Seemed very fake with a weird taste. I ate one bite of each and threw it away. Well actually, I put them in the fridge hoping I'd want it later but no, I threw them away because they looked like playdoh after sitting in the fridge for a night. I'll probably be back in a few months if I'm craving a baked potato, but past that, I can't see myself coming back for anything else. I had written city bites awhile back. I am not a fan of their sandwiches. The last time we got them they were pretty lousy, small, a bit mushy, and not much content. Went back and tried something new, the mesquite chicken baked potato. I have to say, this is a pretty good spud. They pack the potato with meat, cheese and spicy ranch so each bite has good flavor. My son and I went to City Bites today for lunch. He loves to go there, because they have the chips he likes and of course cookies. I like to go there for many reasons. The bread is tasty, their sandwich selection is varied, and it is a locally owned chain. I always order something that is "off" the menu, meaning it is not one of their regularly advertised options. I get the Albuquerque Turkey. It's nice and spicy with cool avocado and bacon. My son usually gets the Kiddie City Grilled Cheese, but today he opted for the PB&J. We had some great sandwiches via the drive thru one day and I thought we had found our new go-to sandwich joint. Our most recent experience proved otherwise. We dined in this time and were very disappointed. My baked potato was horrible. It was terribly overcooked and something tasted weird about it (the butter maybe?). My husband, who is not picky at all, even agreed. The salad was half brown and hardly edible. Not sure if the horrible outdated crazy decor and paint is supposed to be part of the charm, but it irks me. Food: The pot roast spud was nothing but a can of pot roast soup on a baked potato & the classic spud was okay both potatoes were dry :( The California chicken melt was very good but next time we will ask to lay off the salt, other than that it was good. Service: Everyone was okay (it could be sooooo much better) but I guess who ever makes the food when you call in an order doesn't know the difference between 6" & 12" ~~ No wonder our total was over $35.00??? And with most restaurants in Yukon the customer service could be a lot better. The sandwiches have all been delicious, it is the service I have issues with. Everytime I go the staff seems so disinterested in being there or being pleasant to talk to. I've been a City Bites fan for years. This is my first experience in the Yukon store. We were the only customers when we came in. The service was incredibly slow. The restaurant looks dirty, tables aren't cleaned, walls are filthy and the floors are gross. Only one order in front of us and it took over 30 minutes to get the three sandwiches and pizza bites. They didn't even have the correct pizza bites so just took slices of bread, red sauce, and a small slice of cheese and semi melted the cheese on top. The sandwiches are pretty good but the shop is terrible. I hope the food is not cared for the same as the rest of the restaurant. Eeek! read more
