Can you be in love with BBQ delivery? I've ordered from City BBQ several times and have LOVED my order every single time. I especially love the Smokehouse Salad. It feels fresh and healthy and doesn't skimp on flavor. The cornbread is also divine - a mini-loaf of moist cornbread that is just incredible. Not far behind that is their corn pudding, which brings the taste of summer corn in another form. Along with some sides, I've tried and enjoyed th lemonaid. It's isn't too sweet, just refreshing. I'm not someone who can really review the green beans or collard greens because I'm only a semi-fan of those dishes, but from what I can tell, City BBQ brings their unique flavors to those sides as well. They righted their wrong so I respect that. They definitely are on top of things because instantly they reacted and even refunded all of the stuff they missed throughout the past several months. I am really happy to see them on top of things and noticed they seemed really stressed out. Don't stress! Accidents happen, all that matters is improvements were made. After driving past City BBQ and never going in, we finally made a point to get in there and try it. Now I will say, my fiancé is from Kansas City, so we are pretty particular about BBQ. I came across an enticing coupon and decided to give City BBQ another try, but this time changing locations. I ordered turkey, green beans, corn pudding, salad and of course peach cobbler. DAMN! That turkey rocked! Super moist and full of flavor! The side dishes were basically equally as impressive in taste. My only issue was the portion of side servings... they were not filled to the top. This place was stellar! Grabbed some take out and really splurged tonight on the goods. Tried the 2 meats platter with brisket and pulled chicken. Was excellent! Brisket was super tender and flavorful. Pulled chicken was yummy and stripped well.. Tried them with the brush fire and original sauces. If you like a kick, get extra brush fire next time! Sides included Mac and Cheese, baked beans, corn pudding, and hush puppies. Mac and cheese was good but nothing special. Corn pudding was excellent and would get it again. Hush puppies were good but were missing something unknown. Saving the best for last, the baked beans... They were the best I've ever had! Spicy, chunky, and powerful! I didn't get a chance to visit the restaurant but my training class brought some in for our training class at P&G and it was ridiculously good! Someone in our class said Cincinnati BBQ was overrated but I have to disagree. The brisket and pulled pork was tender and flavorful and the Mac and Cheese was good - not great, but good. Not sure if the chicken was as good, but it was the first platter to go so I will assume it was worth the effort. They also ordered a chocolate cake that was popular with the class - I don't do chocolate so I can't vouch for that either but it knocked a couple of classmates out for the afternoon session. The food was incredible. Slow cooked brisket that melted on your palate. I enjoyed "More Cowbell" with the sweet and original sauces. The real standout though was the service. We were a bit hesitant at first because of the location of the handicap parking spaces. I'm currently in a wheelchair. We decided to take the chance and I'm so pleased we did. The staff went the extra mile. From holding the front doors to helping deliver the food. Even as we left, they were there thanking us and helping with the doors again.
