We stopped mainly for a meal, but the bar counter seemed a much more lively place to be at! We ordered a chicken salad and chicken wings. Both were good. We also ordered their spicy cheese curds. A really nice refreshing strawberry lemonade to wash it all down and I was stuffed! Service was super nice diner and dive friendly and great for family or a casual date and everything in between. The Mac & cheese was creamy, had a nice little spice to it. The noodles were maybe a little overcooked. The cheese sauce was cheesy (thing melted strings as you take a scoop). The brisket was not very good. Little to no bark, smoke flavor on the outer edges, pot roast texture for the rest. The fat was rendered nicely. It looked like it'd been cut and put into water to keep it warm - definitely detracted. The sauces were good. I particularly liked the Gold - don't see a lot of it around and I liked how thick it was. Next time will try the pork. It is called Pig Candy, after all.
