Food was slightly undercooked and it was absolutely freezing inside that the food couldn't be enjoyed.

Its like magic when you walk in and smell the familiar...BACON!!. Just a few days ago a friend and…read moreI were talking about good sandwiches and the BLT made the list. Miranda made MAGIC happen , that BLT...was L.I.T.! The prices at Red's are not bad for a good sandwich, actually not bad fir a great 5.00 buck lunch ($4.99) will get you whats in the pictures. Now why 3 stars not 5? While the manager I gathered, was taking in a shipment; the young lady at the register was quick to ask can I help, but. the tone was more can you hurry up. Well I asked if they serve food, because at first walking in I didn't really see a setup for it but she just pointed right back to the area where Miranda was standing and just looked as if. Since I didn't actually see the food counter coming in, I was thinking it might have been someone's lunch that smelled really good, but just based upon the fact that good prices, a good BLT; I ordered a BLT two bags of Smartfood popcorn and a ginger ale. Attitude is EVERYTHING to me, SERVICE..is everything to EVERYONE. If you are having a crappy day, step back and know you still have a job to do ( in the service field), you may not like the clientele that come to your establishment at the time I was there... But in the words of Clarence Avant "At the end of the day, its all about the money". Make your money. Be nice to EVERYONE & I'll be back, its a good spot with great prices and food..and Miranda makes a DOPE BLT

Milkman, you were so, so, so good to me! I've never been into the restaurant, though I have gotten…read moreDoorDash once before. It was as delicious as I wanted it to be! When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by such a sweet staff who immediately welcomed us in, shared their thoughts on the menu (since we were first-timers), and suggested we leave a review (they were so lovely, so how could we not!) The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!

I did have it to go so all I can tell you is the food was pretty good. I don't know how much I can actually recommend it. The best thing it is down town Cinci so it's decent enough to go to for lunch.

Dixie Chili beats Skyline Chili…read more There! I said it! Yeah, so it's true. Since the untimely demise of the classic "Covington Chili" parlor about 6 or 8 years ago, Dixie is tops in my book. Don't get me wrong, however. Skyline (or Gold Star, or Blue Ash, etc) is great. Both recipes are excellent, but Dixie's taste is a little bolder. And, when comparing macros to macros, Dixie stacks up better (more protein, less fat). BOLD FLAVORS: Note that one option for the Dixie's chili mac is the famous "6 way." A 6-way, is the standard Cinci/Greek "5-way," (Spaghetti, chili, beans, onions, cheese) with the addition of chopped garlic! Be careful with the 6 way...it doesn't take much garlic to overpower the other flavors. Atmosphere: Classic retro diner-ish vibes. The service was excellent also. Want the best chili is the area? Cross the river and eat here. 5 stars!

I was in Cincinnati for a night, and came here after the Reds game. When in Rome, right?…read more I went with 2 cheese coneys and an order of cheese curds. How were they? Decent. Cheese Coneys- These were smaller hot dogs stuffed inside a fresh, hot, steamed bun, then topped with chili and a mound of shredded cheddar. Super messy to eat. Taste was alright. The chili itself was not spicy, but had a lot of spices/flavoring in it. I could definitely taste a little sweetness (cinnamon?). Cheese Curds- These came out piping hot. I got my dogs first, then they brought these out to my table. These were freshly fried, great cheese pull...solid order of cheese curds. Service was straight to the point. Not a lot of smiling going on, but whatever, people are here to eat and get out of here. They serve everything pretty fast and efficient. Would I come back? Eh, maybe. I'd never crave these things, but if I were back in the Cincinnati area, and it was late at night, this would fit the bill. Would probably try the spaghetti next time with like a 3 way.
