I asked some follow up questions via email, in which she requested with other information. She failed to tell us that she would be leaving that evening for a 4-day weekend and left no colleague to contact in her place. We should have known by this first poor experience that it would not be a good match and selected another bank. But we proceed. We had an accepted offer on a house. Dean Bank's security and transfer of information is incredibly antiquated and leaves you open to breach of information. If you value your privacy, you'd have to do everything in person on paper. Slow and antiquated is how I would describe each and every exchange. I had to be on their backs, almost daily, asking if certain things were done and if they needed any additional information. They made us miss our mortgage commitment and almost lost the entire deal because they didn't know they hadn't received the appraisal. The same appraisal I had asked about approximately 7 times prior to mortgage commitment. Day of closing was fine. Mortgage statements looks like they are fresh off the typewriter, with very little information other than you owe XXXX. Using their website and online banking feels like a throwback to 1998. There are many things that you cannot do, you must go in or call. You have to call the office to reset your password. You can also send them a message, but it takes them D A Y S to respond to anything. I look forward to the day we can refinance and leave Dean Bank in the dust, where it likes to be. Everyone I have spoken too has been very nice. BUT they are not equipped to handle business in today's world. If you have a rotary phone, still pay all your bills by mail, and like going into the bank for every single task then DEAN is definitely your bank.

The customer service is horrendous! I've had a mortgage with them for 6 years now. I know the two tellers that work there, 2 blonde women. When asking a question regarding my account they replied "OH! She knows nothing. She's new and just starting working here." Are your bank tellers really pulling the it's my first day card? Even though I have been here plenty of times and it is always the same two women? Way better options out there for banking now soon they will realize this and customers can run!

I provided all necessary information for the loan and supported the banker during legal proceedings. After the bank forced the company into loan default, I was laid off, and the bank appointed someone to oversee the finances. Out of goodwill, I continued to answer questions and assist the Executive Vice President's team. However, when I reached out to the Executive Vice President multiple times for a job recommendation and reference, I was met with silence and ignored, despite my previous cooperation. This bank prioritizes personal gain and profits over trust and partnerships. It is not advisable to partner with such an institution.
