Our baby turned 2 years old on December 23rd and he is still doing great! We have 3 kids and he is excellent with them! He is very playful and loving. He is very well trained and so smart, he knows all basic commands as well as a few special ones and he is trained to go to the bathroom outside and has never had an accident in the house, he will wait by the back door to be let out whenever he has to go. He is short and stocky which we love, people always ask if he is a special kind of bulldog or a "mini" bulldog because of his size and build. And his coat and coloring is a beautiful red fawn brindle and white. He is very healthy and luckily has not had any health issues at all with the exception of a minor dry nose which is common because of the way their noses are and their breathing, so we put Aquaphor ointment on it every day and it's fine now. So try it if your dog has the same issue. We love our bulldog so so much! However, the first few months was a financial burden. She developed cherry eye and demodex mange. We understood that bulldogs can get cherry eye very easily because of how their eyes are layered but the mange, we were told by two different vets, was genetic, from her mother or father. Cherry eye is also genetic but bulldogs are very prone to getting it. Our vet tried to contact Jon several times to ask for our dogs parents medical history. He did answer the phone and did talk to them and told our vet he would help with the medical bills if the cherry eye and mange did not go away within a few months and would also send us our dogs family medical history..... Well almost a year and $3,000 later in medical bills we have yet to hear from him. Our vet was very knowledgeable with bulldogs and their conditions so our dog is now a very healthy and a very active pup! We could not ask for a better dog but if you choose to buy from Citibulldogs make sure ALL the medical history is in the papers. And even ask the breeder to sign a contract where if something goes wrong that he could be responsible because of all the inbreeding they do. We had a 30 day "return policy" but all her medical problems happened 2-3 months after we got her at 8 weeks old. And i could not imagine "returning" a dog after 30 days... One thing i will say that was a huge help was that they had the dogs mostly "pee pad" trained at an early age! so bringing her home and having her know what a pee pad was, was a huge help! So I would definitely recommend Citibulldogs if you are willing to adopt a bulldog! They require a lot of work and attention but are worth all the troubles! And again, ask the breeder for all the family history from "down the line" and have him sign everything related to it! Jon is a very nice guy but has to be liable for anything that happens that is related to the dogs family history! read more
