Pros: They always smile More than two tellers at one time, or any given time. Clean place like any other bank it should be. Service as expected. Some friendly tellers. Cons: Too many new tellers which I have to explain what is bad...new tellers are not accustomed to banks customers and not enough teller windows open. read more

Large parking lot, atms outside when the bank isn't running during their normal hours. There isn't a drive thru atm. The bank is quiet, clean, and the clerks and cheerful and happy to help with transfers, deposits, withdrawals and helping discuss financial benefits. The clerks are great at telling you about promotions and everything available to you. Their credit card team is amazing about answers calls whenever you flag your card as stolen, fraud etc they are on top of it. Their team handles the conflict immediately and credits your account while figuring out how to handle the issue. Highly recommend this bank. read more

What ever you do do not invest with the representative in the branch. I lost money due to his arrogance and had to file a FINRA complaint against him. Citi finally settled but I still lost money. The funds were in CD's and he still caused the loss of money due to his nasty attitude and unprofessionalism The worst. Do not trust them. They work on commission and will pressure you into buying high risk funds that pay them commissions. Find a financial planner that is a fiduciary. He only gets paid if you make money in the fund. read more

We needed a last minute checking account opened and other locations were booked and busy. When we walked in Cristian Guerrero greeted us immediately and decided to help us out really quick before his appointment came in. He was very polite and professional and we really appreciated his help. Great place! read more

I was coaxed to move my retirement funds to Citi Personal Wealth Management by Christian who is a assistant manager of the branch. The personal management rep in this branch was rude and impersonal. I came to the branch and asked him to review my account. He told me I had to make an appointment. I asked a second time and he rebuffed me and walked away. As a result I lost 4K in lost interest income because he would not review my account. I filed a FINRA complaint for arbitration. The matter was settled only after I pressed the case. If you want to lose money this is the place. read more

Christian and Earl went out of their way to be professional and resourceful, helped me immensely today. I came in to withdraw some cash, forgot to bring my debit card because we're on vacation in LA. They noticed an issue with my account and immediately helped troubleshoot it through several resourceful steps. Any other branch likely would have just said there's an issue with your account and we can't help. But Christian and Earl went out of their way to do everything they could so I could still make the withdrawal but my account was protected. Thanks again to them! read more

I'm a citi customer of 30 years just stoped by this branch to open another account. No other customers inside but me. An extremely annoyed bank teller told me that all bankers are busy and I should come back some other time. I asked him if I should go to a different bank. He said "sure" I guess they don't want your business or your money. I'm going straight to Chase. read more

The staff at this branch are very helpful, knowledgeable, patient and polite whether it's in person or on the phone.

My mom and I have been Citi customers for many years. We have always been given excellent attention for our financial needs. Carlos and Victor have been especially helpful and are always looking out for the best way for us to handle our investments. All of the tellers are always courteous and efficient. The CD's and promotions are wonderful and competitive and are above the major competitors like Chase, BofA, WF. I like investing in a bank and company that is also internationally linked so when I travel I know that there is a way to access my accounts securely. read more

You want to know why Citi is closing? Because they wont take cash anymore for bills. Apparently for four years now. Stupidest shit I ever heard... Its not a banks job to spy on me for the IRS. I have a fucking right to be paid in cash for legit services. Fuck Citi. Fuck all banks that mess with cash customers. Bofa lets me pay car payment in CASH. read more

Worst bank EVERRRRRR! I just opened an account and can't withdraw any funds! They want my life history before I can withdraw any or all my funds! And this is after opening a business account with a banker with my articles of corporation! OMG! What happened???? What changed??!?!?! I am being treated like a criminal now!!!!!!!! ‍ read more

Carlos was easily the best employee they had. Walked in and he immediately was a big help, solved a problem I had with my credit card and citibank app. I was on the phone with Citibank customer service everyday for a week with no resolution but Carlos did it with ease! Highly recommend him for your next bank visit! read more

HORRIBLE. I've been on hold for 30 freaking min, you can tell when the associates pick up and then put you on hold. If you're on a time crunch and need to be somewhere, do NOT waste your time here. So disappointed with the service. Even the automated service sucks. It apparently doesn't have "customer service" voice recognition. I can see why, they probably have more negatives comments than positive. *update* after 40 min, I was FINALLY able to get a hold of someone at the call center branch and I told him my issues and he proceeded to not address my issues and decided to transfer me back to the main call center and had to do it all over again. The worst bank. Do not waste your time and money on this shit hole. read more

This is my regular bank. Love it... work nearby by, live nearby. Unlike CHASE... my former go-to bank... there isn't ridiculous minimum requirements that result in huge fees if not met. Good location near the fwy and Ventura blvd. The tellers are all nice and helpful... never had a problem with them. A few cuties including one gorgeous latina or black teller that started working there a few months back. Super sweet, beautiful smile and always extremely helpful and nice. All-in-all this bank is amazing! read more

Citibank - Citibank - Sherman Oaks - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Sherman Oaks, California

After reading so many negative reviews for Citibank locations here on this site, I felt compelled to write a nice review of my own sharing my positive experience at Citibank. I needed to open an account. I showed up on a Saturday and got help immediately from one of their personal bankers (Lucie), and while helping me open a savings accounts and understand my options as it pertains to CD's, checking, savings and credit cards, we had a very nice conversation. I honestly dreaded going to a new corporate-y bank, but the people at this location made it very easy. Thank you! read more

I used to LOVE going to this branch. Everyone was so helpful, beautiful smiles, calm attitude until today. I was directed to someone that is probably on training, that calls himself a "personal" banker that has absolutely nothing "personal" to offer. Arrogant, confrontational and condescending - not the kind of experience you want to have when speaking to someone where you put your money. All he could tell me was that he had an assumption that this might be the problem. Then he called the 1800 number and all the assumptions continued. When I asked what really happened, not assumptions, he said I could either drive to the Studio City branch to talk to someone there or wait another 10 minutes to speak with the manager. Not the way to deal with a client sir. Have you heard of the word "customer service"? I'd rather drive to Studio City or West Hollywood where I'm treated with understanding and dignity. Or maybe go to a different bank. read more

While everyone is very nice, approachable, and helpful who works here, Citibank as an organization is falling behind other banks by only being open from 10am to 5pm (with many staff gone during lunch -- what great hours if you work there!!). If you are retired, work nights, or work across the street, Citi is convenient, but for the millions of others who commute to work, it is nearly impossible to ever visit this bank in person. Additionally, the interactions I've had here are relaxed and take forever, so a 10am appointment quickly spills into your afternoon. I'm slowly moving my money to CHASE, which is not much better in terms of money management, but solely because their 9 to 6 hours of operation (including longer Saturday hours) and quick service are (more) compatible with the busy 21st century lifestyle. read more

If I could i would give them zero stars. Where is the human factor to this branch. Show up at 5:01 and they will not let you in. Instead they will turn the key on you. Maybe this is a very antiquated bank. What bank closes at 5:00pm and opens at 10:00am. Closed on the weekend. Time to move my money! read more

This bank , always make you wait, and make mistake frequently, I am regraded I open credit card with them, Today I made a payment for $82.70 for my credit card at the branch, the teller proceeds my check as $827.00 on my receipt, trying to call customer service they can not even trace the payment, They do not know how to handle such a mistake, Hopefully the feds would investigate them soon enough before they damage people's account. read more

Horrible Bank can not believe they are still in business. The are treating our Senior Citizen as if they are no longer worth a return phone call. Fraud is ok to them. Fraudulent Checks were written on account and it was so obvious , they paid the check and now will not return the $3000. back into my account . After calling them 30 times I have only received 3 return phone calls. Beware your money is not safe at this bank. This happened in June 2018 and still trying to get some help. I am 89 years old and this has been a terrible experience to go thru and no one at Citi Bank seems to want to help me. read more

Beyond incompetent. After 3 failed interactions with them when changing an out of state Citibank to an instate account. Locking us out of our accounts twice, they did little more than convince us to close all our Citibank accounts and move our money elsewhere. Save your time and find another branch. They have some money managers that desperately need to be fired before you can trust them with your money. read more

This location is very convenient to me. It's also near a fwy entrance and a gas station! Every time I have come to this location everyone is really helpful. It wasn't like that before so whatever shift they did it's working. I would really like to shout out Eddie G. He is always so helpful and providing easy solution if I ever have an questions or concerns. read more

The tellers are very friendly and nice. They usually have 3 tellers working at a time which is nice. The atm's are inside which is great for after hours. Although I find the branch to be great please be advised that it is not in a great neighborhood and there are always sketchy people in the parking lot. They have no parking lot security. read more

I'm not an actual customer here but I accompanied my BFF yesterday bc she had a lot of major banking issues to take care of and was very stressed out as they involved large amounts of money and multiple accounts. Two women really stood out, I'm not sure of the spelling but I believe they were Chrystle and Kristina. They both went above and beyond anything I've ever seen a banker do and their personalized service and compassion truly saved the day for my friend. They were beyond helpful and really seemed to care. They took so much time to explain everything, give options and wait patiently that by the end of our visit they just seemed like girlfriends. I hope they are recognized as the amazing employees that they are bc they really made a difference yesterday. Thank you ladies! read more

The great customer service provided by the staff at this location is the only reason I continue to be a customer of Citibank. The staff members who deserve the most notable mentions are Aley, Cristian, Geetika, Jose, Artlene, Kefier, Eddie, Alejandra, Robert and Jane Lee! Thank you for your warm smiles and efficient service. Citibank is not the best bank, but this team makes my experience so much better. read more

If only I can give your teller Kayser Issha or whatever his last name is a 00000 I will. Man you are so rude! You don't know anything about customer service. I was in line waiting while another customer was arguing with this guy, then this guy have the guts to tell other customer that you always get those kind of customer. I work for customer service that's why I totally understand what this Kayser guy was saying. When it was my turn and I tried to give him a smile so it will make him feel a little better, after that customer experience. I was surprised how you treated me as a CUSTOMER! if someone is withdrawing some money from there account, I believe that it's your policy to count the money back to your client so you will not have a mistake! But you just gave the money to me in a very rude way and didn't even count! I'm not just getting a $10 cash! Know you don't have the right to complain about how customer treats you because you don't know how to be nice to your client! I'm hoping that the management will take action to this kind of employee. read more
