Had to come inside the bank because it's MATURITY Day... Gotta get the interest earned out of the bank. Sadly, you have to come in for this transaction. Based on the current rates it's best do roll over into a 1 year CD but we don't like tying the money up that long so we're opting for the 5month because it's 2.5-3.5%. It's not horrible but it's not great. There was one person ahead of us and the two tellers working were assisting customers. Luckily the line moved pretty fast and we were assisted fairly quickly. Susan assisted us and she was absolutely amazing. She went over the new interest rates and in the end we opted for the one we originally selected - 5 months. We took the interest as cash in hand. This bank could truly use a facelift. It's pretty old inside and in need of a renovation. The parking is decent and there's no validation needed. We usually come to this Citibank because we're in Rialto. read more

My elderly mother has had to deal with a closed account without her approval of a joint checking account since the death of my father. Not only did CitiBank close her account, but also made a mistake in how they addressed the check--without my father's full name, making it worthless to cash at any bank. Citibank will not own up to the misnamed check and will not honor it either, since they closed my mother's joint account. The Bank Manager, who is only there on Tuesdays, refuses to remake the check. With this kind of customer service and inability to deal with my mother's dilemma, I think we are forced to sue just for a reissue and correction of a check. read more

Horrible experience 1) we set up an appointment last week to come in today to this location & they told us they did not find us under the appointment section. 2)the person we were supposed to have an "appointment" with was off today and to top it off they said she was not able to open up the account we needed ! 3) when asking for a branch manager the teller (a woman) became very irate & delivered very nasty customer service 4) when the branch manager came out he offered no solution he stated our appointment was not as important as other appointments As a business owner, veteran of the US Army, and local community resident I am appalled and very displeased at this location. I opened a large saving account for new members. They offered a bonus for new members who open a saving account. After six months, they did not pay any bonus to my account. I got a run around from 4 different employees. Each one told me a different story. I was told the bonus would be deposited in my account after 90 days. I closed the account my account but did not Collect the bonus. The teller told me to leave the large saving account in the account so they could find out whats going on. Every time I come to this bank to do a simple deposit I find my self waiting online for at least 30 minutes there is only 2 tellers and they are busy listening to people's lifetime stories or helping people who don't understand the paperwork received by mail instead of doing what tellers are supposed to do deposits and withdrawals they should have a desk or a specific teller to resolve other issues that have to do with paperwork, credit cards and mistakes done by bank or customers or at least if they can have one teller to just handle simple transactions again like deposits withdraws and check cashing I'm still waiting in line now there's only one teller attending to a lady who can't find her marriage certificate for whatever transaction well after a long wait my deposit took exactly one minute thanks citi bank for wasting 45 minutes of my time read more

If you ever wanted an experience of what it must have felt like to live in the former Soviet Union, waiting for hours on end to buy a loaf of bread... well this place is for you. For the record, the only reason I ever bothered coming to this location was because they had inexpensive safe deposit boxes. But the sheer soul-crushing waits that people suffer (and the 2-hour wait that it took for me to close my safe deposit box) makes me want to scream from the rooftops... AVOID THIS LOCATION (AND CITIBANK IN GENERAL). As many others have said, the waits are absurdly long, and half the time the workers tell you to contact customer service after your absurd wait (only to have customer service tell you that the branch is supposed to help you). In addition... Citibank, in its desire to crush the spirits of the inner city denizens of Fontana, decided to close its other location on Sierra... then they shortened their hours to boot (a bank being open 10-2 on Saturday... what is this, 1978??). I once even saw a (loud) customer have the police called on them by staff there... when the police arrived, they told the customer that they completely agreed with their position, and told the bank manager not to call the cops again unless it was an actual emergency, and not just a legitimately frustrated customer demanding reasonable service. Only two cashiers open while three other employees ( supervisors and guy at desk ) are just hanging out. There is too many bank options out there for Citibank not to invest in better management and more branches open. How about the supervisors work the windows to cut down the lines? I went to Citibank today to deposit 1 check. To stand in a line wrapped around the corner for an hour and 10 minutes is unacceptable. When I was finally able to make it inside, there were only 2 tellers. Only 2! Why? We all know people are mostly coming the first 3 days of the month. Why can't you have more then 2 tellers on these 3 days? I would have more patience to wait an hour if all 9 teller windows were open, and it was that busy, but they never are. Why? I, personally, never used the teller service inside the bank. However, I have used the ATM, outside the bank, to withdraw, or deposit cash. There were no lines near the ATM, and the service with this machine was quick. Of course, there was only one ATM outside. Therefore, they could open a second ATM, if there would be more people living or visiting the area. read more

We came here for a simple business consultation with a banker and add to an existing acct. the bank was pretty much empty, maybe 10 ppl here total! We had to wait about 45min to see a banker. They only had 2 working which may have been appropriate but, I'm not accustomed to wait that long when there aren't too many customers... Luckily our banker did her best to get us out ASAP. Holy crap is this bank horrible. Don't get me wrong, most of the tellers are actually really nice and helpful like Daisy who I get a lot of times BUT there's rarely ever more than one teller helping everyone in line at a time. The line can be all the way out the door and yet only one teller. The answer the manager always gives is "everyone is at lunch" how can you be at lunch all the time??? Bank of America across the street has like 6 or 7 tellers working at a time yet this bank can't have more than one MAYBE two working because apparently everyone is always on break here. I need certain bills other than twenties when I withdraw my check sometimes but screw it I rather use the ATM than wait 1 hour for something that shouldn't even take 5 mins at most. read more

The young girl handling personal banking was nice and attentive but I needed a manager to handle a transaction for me since I was told over the phone with Citibank that this was the process to complete this particular transaction. So I went in and spoke with Jennifer the manager on duty only to be told that they couldn't complete the transaction and that what they told me over the phone was incorrect and happens all the time. Then why don't you fix it?! You have the knowledge that this is going on and you continue to allow customers to continue wasting their time making this mistake? Not good business practices. I went to city Bank today to add my husband to my checking and savings account. Today is Monday and I went in at 11 AM. My experience was smooth, However after reading the reviews I took extra precautions before going. The first thing I did was call ahead and ask what documentation I needed to add my husband. The second thing I did was schedule an appointment over the mobile app. I also must mention that I open my account both my checking and my savings over the phone by calling the 866 number up for Citibank. When I walked in today there was one person in the line. I did try to be discreet when taking the picture because I'm in the bank but as you can see there was no people in line to my surprise. I guess it is possible to have a positive experience at this bank. Not to say that other reviews are not truthful or anything like that. I guess anybody can have a good experience or bad experience at any bank anytime. Hope this helps. read more
