I picked up Anne Patchett's latest and a new historical novel about Anne Boleyn. (Both 20% off.) I also bought a staff recommendation and David Sedaris' new book of essays. As we walked around the store the employees hovered, but never made eye contact to say hello. I saw so many things that I thought my clients would like so I just ignored the bad customer service until I noticed that they spoke to several other people in the store, but never said a word to me or my mom. Just like their pictures do not represent an inclusive environment we did not feel welcomed. I put back the clothes I planned to buy and asked my mom to do the same. With all that is going on in the economy no one in the retail arena should ever give bad customer service that will cost them to lose out of sales. Now I will not shop here for myself or for others.
