I really like the selection of products at the store. They carry brands I like and the store always looks neat and orderly. The prices are comparable to other places that carry similar products. I am giving this place 2 stars because of some of the sales staff. I truly hate feeling like I am being stalked by sales staff, but that is exactly what it feels like, especially on my last visit. I was looking at the Hokas and a young lady comes up and asks me if I am looking at Hokas (I wanted to say something snarky but refrained).. then she says my name is (I forgot her name) and to let her know if I needed help. I continued looking. The entire time I looked she was within 15 feet of me "straightening" and asked me every 5 minutes if I was still doing ok. It reminded me of furniture shopping at Mathis Brothers for those of you out there who have experienced that. I can appreciate someone wanting to do his/her job well, but this was way over the top. This location did not have what I was looking for so the next day, I went to the Norman location. I walked in, was greeted and the young lady said her name was (forgot her name too) and to let her know if I needed help and left me alone to shop. I even thanked her as I was checking out for not being like the location on Memorial. read more

Employee presence is suffocating & unnecessary. Shoe selection is great, but again, the staff are wayyyyyy too eager.

Metro Shoe Warehouse has a great selection and it is my go to for shoes. Unfortunately the shopping experience is poor due to persistent and aggressive sales staff. I was there for less than 5 minutes and was approached by no fewer than 3 team members, only one of which respected me when I said "no thanks". Maybe trained the staff to say something like My name is xxx and I am here if you need help instead of attempting to engage the customer in a lengthy conversation. read more

Stopped in today to get new shoes for work. Had excellent customer service provided by Saab. He was able to answer questions. He was very friendly and not in a rush. I haven't always had the same experience here, so this was a positive shopping trip. They had lots to choose from in the specific shoe I went in for. read more

They need to check their items before selling them. Because just like they did not check I did not either and when I tried to return a pair of shoes(I was gifted another pair & I only had them for a couple of days and they sat in my closet) they accused me of wearing them(I needed a pair specifically for running..OUTSIDE) but a scuff that I did not do was there. They ended up not being "resell able". read more

New to the area and went to check out the selection. JORDAN was amazing, thoughtful and very helpful. I'm sure we have all experienced customer service where people just go through the motions. Not Jordan, he was invested in helping me find the shoe I wanted. Not pushy, just genuinely helpful. I asked about two particular shoes that were not currently in stock, he was proactive, kind, attentive and provided a quick solution. I read the reviews below and my experience was very positive. I would for sure return! Thank you Jordan, small acts of kindness change the world. Keep it up :) read more

Great products/brand selection, but the sales staff is terrible. I'm sure they are helpful, but they are so over the top annoying, we always want to just get out of there before someone comes to bug us for the 6th or 7th time. My wife will not go in there alone anymore because one of the male staff member makes her feel uncomfortable. read more

Wide selection of shoes to choose from. You are able to try on and compare many different styles of shoes to find the right one for you. Also, the customer service here is phenomenal! Every person is kind and helpful. They help find you shoes in your size and help compare the different styles if you are like me and can't decide. The Manager BJ is the absolute best! We were in a couple months ago and he helped us for over an hour. He was super nice, patient, and his input was extremely helpful. I was still undecided and we left without buying anything but we went back just the other day and he saw us in there and remembered us, the shoes I tried on, and even the conversation we had when we were last in. I found shoes that day and love them! This is by far the best experience I've ever had in any store! I highly recommend this store. Thank you to all the staff at this location! read more

It's definitely not a bargain store. Full price. That's OK. Couldn't browse and take my time. Salesman following me around asking questions I finally left. Just wanted to look. Don't need a shadow. He just wasn't getting the hint. read more

Do not buy gifts from here! I bought my girlfriend some Ugg's for Christmas. I let her open them early and she tried them on and w as liked around in them. Her foot kept sliding out of the back door she wanted to return them and get another style. Went to the store and the guy examined the shoes for 5 minutes then said these have been worn. I said yes, she tried them on walked around the house in them but didn't like them. They would not return my shoes. So apparently if you put anything on outside of the store, they will not return the shoes. The sticker is still on the bottom of the shoes! read more

I ran in here with my daughter the other day to try and find some shoes she won't argue with me about in the morning. Her tennis shoes are "too sporty" and her Uggs are "too hot". Honestly, I should be annoyed because she is five, but I am not, because I'm like, girl, same. I was hoping for some little Toms or Blowfish, which they have here, or even some Chucks. The child took one look at Chucks and scoffed. Okay.... so I did find a few pairs she liked, like a metallic pair of high tops, and a tie-dye pattern of slip-on Blowfish, but they didn't have those in her size. They honestly had very few options in her size... like just two or three pairs in that section of "not dressy and not sporty". I was disappointed there wasn't more from which to choose. We usually go to Daniels Shoes, and even though it seems tiny by comparison, they always bring out a dozen pairs that fit. Here, I don't think I could have rounded up a dozen pairs in her size. AND, the prices are the same as full-service shops. I'm not sure what the "warehouse" means, except for me, crawling around on my hands and knees on the floor during a pandemic, searching for an elusive size 11. read more

The workers will not leave you alone and let you look in peace. 5 people will come up to you to ask you if you need help continuously throughout your whole time there. It feels like borderline harassment when they won't just leave you alone, and literally no one likes shopper stalkers. If someone doesn't want help please leave them alone. read more

Metroshoe warehouse carries an abundant amount of wonderful brands but not for a good deal whatsoever. Their clearance racks are often filled with the same items that have just been sitting there for the past 6 months. I feel like they don't tend to rotate items out well here at all. They sell tons of Patagonia and north face but at full retail value. I feel like with all the competition online you just do a basic google search and can easily save yourself money ordering online. They also carry my favorite brand of candles the Capri blue volcano candles directly in the middle of the store along with yeti products. They carry so many shoe brands and options it's incredible as well as sandals but some of them again you can just drive a mile down the road to dsw and get them for a fraction of their price. read more

Overpriced and dependable for always finding stylish, original fan gear for a Sooner, Thunder, or a Poke. My teenage son is very picky and we can consistently find something he will wear at MSW. They have a nice selection of comfortable shoes, mushy socks, fuzzy jackets and SAXX undies, but none of these items are going to be a deal or a steal. At times the shoes are buy 1 overpriced get another for half off. But hey...you are here and you won't have to bargain shop or waste any time. The stores are large and filled with employees. 42% of the employees are over the top fabulous, helpful, and just thrilled to be gainfully employed at a decently popular store. However, the overstock of employees that are tired or love to chit chat (with each other) makes the service inconsistent and makes you feel like a bother. The weirdest part is at the check out they will ask did anyone help you... you look around for that one employee that gave you a nod or let you in a dressing room because it feels like commission, but not real sure what's going on and where this question is derived. The store rating should be a 3.5, but since that's not an option and I am a mission shopper MSW does fulfill my clothing of the teenage child mission time and time again. read more

I went to MW because a friend of mine said they had a great selection of running shoes. When I got there, I was blown away by some of the boots! I tried on multiple pairs of boots but there were no 'wide' in one's that I really liked. I tried to find a sales associate to help me but they were non-existent. One at the register and that was it. I couldn't find any athletic shoes in my size that I liked. Plenty that I really liked, just not my size. If you wear a 5, 6, 11 or 12 you will have shoes and boots all day. Other sizes than that, you will find unattractive shoes IMO. Cute Thunder and OU tees. Good selection of Northface and Patagonia. Until you look at the sizes available. Tiny or huge. Seemed like an outlet store or discount store like Ross, but with higher prices. read more

Ugh. Go someplace else... ANYPLACE else. The shoes were sized very strangely, so I returned them for another size. Rather than just send out another size, they steadfastly insisted that I was outside the allowed time period for return. My only option was to pay a 20% restocking fee AND the shipping charge. I ended up paying half the price for a pair of shoes and ending up with NOTHING. They just as easily could have sent out the right size shoes. read more

I feel this is a great location to find a specific pair of quality shoes. If you are just browsing, however, it is easy to get caught up at a rack of options before ever finding out the type of shoe you came to the store is no longer in season (aka boots). I love the selection of shoes that they carry. That being said if you have a loyalty program then use the program if you don't know how to spell someone's name then ask. If your need the address then ask! But don't check someone out as a guest because you are lazy Makinzie! Or just list it by phone number like everyone else's in the world does. This store (metroshoe warehouse on memorial Rd) has a great selection of shoes but the customer service is terrible as others mentioned. This was my first time going in as a coworker recommended it to me to try Chacos. No one greeted me and the young men working just looked at me. I walked the aisles thinking I would find the Chacos but I felt uncomfortable because more workers came out but said nothing to me. I finally gave up and asked the the last worker who came out the back for help. He was kind and helpful but as he was helping me try on shoes another worker stood like a body guard watching. I sat on the floor and tried on the shoes as there was no stool for me to sit. My purse was not open and it stayed across my body the entire time. I thought this would give them reassurance I'm not a theif but of course they didn't care. As a black woman I don't appreciate the assumption that I come to a store with expensive shoes to steal. I have money and I am willing and able to pay. What; I'm going to stuff some Chacos or Birkenstocks in my purse and run off??? After I found my size I felt so uncomfortable and sad I had no desire to purchase. I have anxiety already and the way I was treated made me feel terrible when I did nothing wrong. I will be buying Chacos on the Chacos website and I will not be returning or purchasing anything from MetroShoe Warehouse. Thanks OKC for reminding me that I'm not welcome here. read more

I went into this store for the first time last Sunday and immediately fell in love. Found some adorable wedge boots for my daughter and made a note to go back for myself. When we left the store my daughter wanted to wear her boots to dinner. So she did and during dinner we found one of the embellishments from the boot on the floor. She had taken maybe 20 steps in them. For what I paid I wasn't going to keep them if looking at them makes things fall off. I took them in less than 48 hours after purchase to explain what happened (I even had the embellishment in a ziplock since we were seated when it fell off)...they didn't have the boot out any longer, none with the elevated wedge (one of the main reasons she picked them) and would only offer a credit bc they were "worn". I get it, if she had worn the heck out of them or worn them and I said they hurt her feet or she changed her mind...that would be on us. Except these are defective boots!! They gave me the number for the manufacturer and sent me on my way. No apology, no offer to contact them on my behalf. I worked in corporate retail...with service like that they won't last long. This first time shopper is a one and done there. Too many other great places to buy cute shoes that back the quality of the products they carry. Use caution if you shop there! read more

Extremely Poor Customer Service. I have not been to the store but purchased shoes through Amazon. The product shipped to me was mislabeled and the company rewrote the label with a Sharpie! We sent the wrong size back and Metroshoe Warehouse said that there was nothing wrong with the shoe and made us pay for the return shipping! I am convinced that Metroshoe Wareouse sells defective goods based on my experience. I will never purchase from this store again. Buyer Beware, You will have better luck at TJ Maxx! read more

Metroshoe Warehouse - See Review by R T. - Shoe Stores Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Love this store. Whether you are looking for a great deal on a jacket, sweater, shoes, t-shirt, or anything in between this place has it. The staff is super friendly and willing to help without the "stalking". They always have those FANTASTIC clearance racks filled with GREAT finds. For those that follow my reviews, when I go shopping, I am always looking for those great buys and SUPER customer service. In my book this place is a FIVE STAR. Yeah, sure, you can go shop the outlet malls, and they are great, but this store offers a one stop shop with customer service too. And the crowds just are not there. Don't get me wrong. They get busy. But the store is set up so you don't get TRAMPLED on. THANK YOU METRO SHOE WAREHOUSE. You make me want to go shopping again. :) read more

I think the store itself is pretty cool. Neat products, but super expensive. The real reason for my rating is the service and management. The past two times I've been there I've witnessed the manager or owner, not sure which, be extremely unprofessional. The way he talked to employees was so rude and condescending. It was enough for me not to patron this place again. I don't want to support bad management. There are too many companies who may not have the selection or products, but at least they treat people right. read more

I am from out of town and a relative brought me here for shoes. This store seemed to have all the major brands and styles to choose from. I was interested in one specific brand in a men's athletic shoe style and the nice employee brought to me one shoe of every color in the brand to choose from. Jack, the employee ,then let me pick from the line up and then brought me a pair of shoes in the size I wanted. He went back again to get another size when those didn't quite fit. Never complained and always a smile. I was definitely impressed with the service received. read more

Went here to get expensive nursing shoes. As a nurse i had done a lot of research regarding these shoes. In the span of 15 minutes i had three sales people approach me and give me unwonted advice regarding nursing shoes....these people have never worked a 12 hour shift as a nurse. I just wanted to be left alone so that i could think about what i was buying! And each one had advice about them....one said they sucked and made him cry when he wore them....one said they were great! I mean, i have done my research, talked to many nurses...and i came to buy shoes, expensive shoes, a big investment if you don't have a lot of money! And all i got were unsolicited and unhelpful advice from non-nursing personnel! Nice store with a lot of cool stuff, but will not he going back! read more

Horrible customer service at the MetroShoe Warehouse off Memorial!! My sister bought me a pair of shoes at the Norman location on tax free weekend. It wasn't until I put them on to wear them that I noticed they had a tiny ink mark on the toe. I already had them on, and I was out of the house. I only wore them 1 TIME. I just tried to exchange them and they said, "Once you leave the store....and you can tell they've been worn." Needless to say, they told me sorry and handed them back to me. I've never heard of any store not exchanging. I was honest with them that they had been worn once because that's how I noticed the mark. I would expect if you pay $90 for a pair of shoes they should be pristine. Additionally, apparently all customer service goes out the window once you leave their store. FYI!! Be cautious when buying there!! read more

I am not a fan of wasting my time to write a long review...but after years of shopping at this establishment, both the OKC branch and the Norman store, I feel like it is my duty to all my other shoppers out there. I have worked in the Customer Service industry, marketing to be precise and at a business that had 1,200 employees and 100s of thousands of patrons, and I have NEVER in my 11+ years of working encountered such terrible customer service. A company is only as good as it's employees and this company is plagued with terribly rude workers...don't get me wrong I would probably be rude too if I got paid minimum wage+commission (had a friend who worked there so my facts are correct) on a pair of shoes. Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing employees there! But they are instantly overshadowed by the snotty kids that work there. It's an unfortunate thing when you go into a commission-driven environment and don't want any help (if that's what you call their service) just so you can prevent the worker from making any money off of you. On the same hand, it's also unfortunate that when you do have an energetic and kind helper, you feel like you need to make a huge deal about it because, let's face it, they probably never hear compliments. If you need further proof, read the reviews on Google....ouch! On the subject of those reviews, you'll see where someone has responded to certain reviews, and they are responded with the same snarky and disrespectful tone that just flows around that place like lava. They are almost all responded with the same type of message-providing the OKC Manager's info...I wouldn't suggest calling him. I'd rather have my face ripped off my a grizzly bear in heat...my mother and myself had to converse with him one shopping trip and we both had our jaws on the counter. He wouldn't even dignify us with a smile, let alone look us in the eyes. The situation (as the rude responder on the Google reviews kept needing specifics) was my sister had placed a North Face jacket on hold and we were picking it up that night. Here's the kicker, they managed to lose the coat in a matter of hours and had my mom and I standing in the store for an hour (no joke) while they "attempted" to find it...all the while still helping other patrons while we sat there and wait. Instead of being an appropriate manager, he acted like we were putting him out and that kept saying "there's nothing we will do" or "it's gone, that's all I can say.". Who says that?!? No apologies, no attempting to do the right thing, he wouldn't look himself-just kept ordering his employees around. Maybe that's why his employees are programmed to turn their noses up at any normal people that enter their locations, he teaches them how to. Hell, he responded to a review saying "I shouldn't dignify this review with a response"...need I say more? So, next time you go shopping there just keep your eyes and ears open and remember...the employee that will most likely be rude will be making money off of treating you like dirt. But hey, maybe you'll get that one special employee who is only working there to help improve their customer service reviews...but judging by mine and other reviews, that's not likely! read more
