My podiatrist recommended this store to me. Taylor scanned my feet, and brought out many pairs of shoes for me to try - we whittled them down to two pairs and some orthotic inserts. Taylor was very patient and focused on me getting the right shoes, even offering other colors of shoes. Wonderful customer service here, everyone was polite and another employee made sure that I was helped (the store was very busy when I first came in). The shoes here are not discount shoe prices--they will set you back at least $100. But the team here deliver high quality products, a wonderful service experience, a shoe fitting process backed by science, in a comfortable (not pushy) customer-oriented way. I will always have at least one pair of New Balance shoes from this store in my shoe collection. This shop won't sell you a shoe if you aren't 100 percent happy with it. They do everything in their power: checking the NB website, providing options, offering customized inserts, all in a singular effort to be sure you are satisfied with your purchase. I have never been fitted for shoes before. I had started having pain from standing on my feet all day, and it turns out I wasn't even buying the correct shoe size for myself! The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The person that helped me out asked questions about my needs, measured my foot, and did a 3D scan of my feet to see which shoes would be the best match for my needs. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that needs a good shoe, but is not quite sure what to look for. They were extremely helpful even in my complete ignorance of what I was needing. read more

I walked into New Balance - Edmond (NBE) on a Friday afternoon and was immediately greeted by Lizz. I described to her that I was looking for an affordable shoe, with great support and looked pretty cool as well. Within seconds we were headed to the Men's shoe selection. I was given several options and finally decided on the one that met all three of my aforementioned criteria. She then took me over to what they call the scanner. Essentially you step on the scanner and it tells you through which part of your sole the majority of your weight is going through (cool stuff). After viewing the results of the scanner, she suggested an insert as well. Lizz took a measurement of my shoe size and was off to retrieve the shoe from the back of the store. While I waited, I overheard other staff members using terms like pronation and supination which is a credit to how knowledgeable they are. She returned with the shoes, the inserts and had me try them out by walking around the store. NBE also offers discounts to UCO students and those in the Edmond Running Club. read more

My old running shoes (also New Balance) had started hurting my feet and I really needed a new pair. As a young woman, I usually like to go out with someone older so I get taken more seriously. But when I went to this store I had to go alone, which ngl, made me a little nervous. My nerves really were for nothing! Immediately I was helped and treated with respect, and I was able to get the perfect pair of running shoes within 25 (ish) minutes. I HIGHLY suggest you go see our friend Tyler at New Balance. I was skeptical because I'm an ASICS girl but am disappointed with how they reformulated their shoes and thought I would never find another shoe like the Kayano but low and behold, after a gait analysis and shoe sizing (done both via digital scan and manual), Tyler found some shoes that hug my feet and feel like clouds. I was treated like a running princess- bottled water, he prepped the shoes for me, put them on my feet, tied them, did everything for me except the actual walking part (and they treat ALL of their customers that way). Biggest bonus, Tyler is so knowledgeable and efficient that I was in and out of the store in 30 minutes and he didn't pressure me into any upsales. read more

I had a pretty good experience overall. The sales guy was not too pushy which I appreciate. And he had good knowledge of the various models of shoes. The one thing I don't love about New Balance is that colors are limited. For example, the shoe that I needed for my feet only came in 3 colors (as do most of their models). So it can be a little tricky for ladies who want the "right" shoe, something that fits their feet but also is "pretty"! Anyways, for people with feet problems, like me, New Balance really offers great solutions. As for this store specifically, I think the staff had decent knowledge and were relatively friendly. The cons is that It can get busy during the weekends and they seem understaffed but they do try their best to accomodate. read more

I have been buying my shoes there since they opened and have always been treated well. All of there employees seem to be up on things. and I would advise everyone to buy a pair of cushioned insoles, they have many types for all the different feet they see. recommend them to everyone, turned a many of friend to New Balance shoes and they all love them.
