Here is a real life interaction with the staff at Mike's Magic Lounge: "I need some cards, but I don't think I can be there before you close." To which the staff replied, "I can get what you want now and hold the store open until you get here." WOW. Mike, the owner, is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, always fair in everything, always ready to provide customer service, this really makes me come back again and again. He kept saying they did not do that (which was confusing because I had already exchanged a book once, a Superman collection) and that only Amazon did that and added that it was "the stupidest thing I have heard". I told him as politely as possible to not call me stupid, and will go back tomorrow to either get my money back. Either way, it's a good store for game playing, but not comics. All the products are new in boxes. The man behind the counter was not overly friendly but he seemed busy working on an order or some inventory. It seems like most of his business is either locals or people that call in to order a part that they need for their hobby. As for a hobby shop, it is really not hobbies in the traditional sense where they are quite limited in the variety of things they carry. I can't really comment on the prices of the goods because it is more of "if you need it, you'll pay what it costs".

So close to the holiday... let's just say that's not going to work! (It's the 23rd of December!) I called this store and they confirmed they had Catan and various expansion packs in stock. The price is exactly what I was expecting to pay and then they had a 10% holiday discount. It's a Saturday and most stores are NOT answering their phones but this store answered on the 1st or 2nd ring!! They set aside two different games for me and confirmed they were open until 10pm! I swung by and the nicest person helped me to check out, signed me up for the rewards program, and explained their business model. You can rent and play games, purchase them, or bring your own!
