Was staying in the area and I always look for record shops. This one popped up so I went to check…read moreit out. I wasn't expecting much cause it's also a boutique, so I figured it probably has the same old stuff you see at every other boutique. I wasn't expecting to walk into the back of the store to find a whole room full of records. Not only were there records throughout the room but they were all organized, labeled and even sections for heavy metal, rock, jazz, blues etc. I was able to go to sections and look for stuff without shuffling through things I'm not into. They have a good range of original records as well as newer records. Prices are decent as well. They also have another smaller room with CDs and cassettes, as well as a smaller section with some box sets. I probably spent about a half hour to 45 minutes just going through everything to see what I could find. I did grab some records and CDs. I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area. Also I see a lot of reviews of the staff/owners being rude but that definitely did not happen in my visit. They greeted me when I walked in, asked if I needed help or was looking for anything and were very nice in general.

Brand new and vintage records alike are here, not every new record, but a fun eclectic mix of the old. That record I remember from when my folks were kids? Found it! The album artwork is amazing, and I didn't even get to the bins on the floor. My kid loves anything Stranger Things and she found some success here too. Obligatory Uncle Joes stickers were by the register, and the staff were friendly without hovering. You are almost exactly behind Cromwell Diner so if you're in Central CT this isn't far, but park with care in tiny angled lot, Can't wait to dig around another time soon.

I dealt with this specfic man with a beard, with muscular body figure, looks like he goes to the gym, and he came off really rude when he told me to stop for a brief moment, signaling me to wait so he can walk further away from me. I understand the shop can be very small however, it was not needed. I played it off but I was indeed embarassed and still purchased something from the store. That moment was back in August. Now in September I called in to ask for a specific item and I was told the item was available after months of searching it in person, sounded like the same person because I memorized his voice. Thankfully he was not there when I arrived to pick up, but there was another staff, very mellow and also not approachable. I got up went inside cause at the end of the day this business is taking my money. In conclusion the staff need to do a better job at being friendly and not be so bothered when asked a question. I don't know if it because I look different from everyone else, I always feel uncomfortable to go inside. Happy with my item, not so happy with the atmosphere and customer service.

I'm into a lot of 80s New Wave, so I came out with a few albums in that category (some for under $10 each), one from Springsteen that was $10, and then even a couple of classical composers for $4 each. And guess what? Not a scratch on any of them! (Here's the catch: A couple records skipped in more than one place in the same song, though I realize skips are par for the course with used records. Not that I don't trust the grades given to the records on the price tags, but there should be a way to test out the records before you pay for them.) The owner is very kind and helpful. It's a small store packed with a lot of records that are alphabetized (which helps if you're looking for something specific) in their respective categories. The place can seem a little claustrophobic and could use a clearing out of the boxes and crates of records on the floor that can make maneuvering difficult and browsing a bit uncomfortable. Yes, the owner generously cleared one area so I could have a better look at a particular genre, but he shouldn't have to do that. The boxes and crates on the floor plus the skipping on some of the albums are the only reasons I'm giving four stars instead of five. Overall, Replay offers better quality and prices than some other used vinyl shops I've visited in both New Haven and Fairfield Counties. It's worth conquering your claustrophobia, I promise, and you're bound to find something you're searching for as well as something you didn't even know existed.

I've had a blast selling off my old baseball cards (my kids don't want them) locally and on-line, A few months ago we also sold off our stamp and coin collection, except for some commemorative Canadian coins minted for the 1988 Calgary Olympics. I contacted KC's Gold, as well as a coin dealer in Toronto to gauge their interest in those Olympic coins. Fred from KC responded right away but his Canadian counterpart never responded after two e-mails. How un-Canadian of him!! Anyway, I visited Fred today to accept his very fair offer. The store is awesome, with baseball cards, coins and vinyl LPs everywhere. Fred was one of the very nicest shop owners I've ever met. He was a real pleasure to work with.
