I got a nice vanilla candle and a Sharpie...all for $4.75 (reduced price since I am a Rewards Member), so I ended up getting both items for FREE. The staff is usually not around.....on the floor, as most people do their own shopping and take their time deciding what to get. There was one cash register open. This store like all other Michael's has everything for craft work as well as art supplies...think fabric, canvases, yarn, knitting & crochet supplies, frames, scrapbook materials, beads, jewelry kits, Cricut, craft machines, etc...they have it. I love their scented candles, which usually are on sale and can be purchased for less than $5. Their school and office supplies section was large and well stocked as well.

Shelfs and items are not always priced. The stores do not have enough personnel to check pricing. With the closing of a competitor (Joannes) you would think this would be great for increased business for Michaels instead you are losing my business and a few of my friends. Such a disappointment. Ps the internet reception is very weak in the stores to check pricing myself. My opinion is you have done a disservice to the customer!

Sun-Up is a really fine American Crafts store. They have a complex collection of contemporary…read morecrafts and clothing; pricey, for the most part, but compelling. The display is artful and the staff knowledgeable. The clothing is VERY high end (translate: seriously expensive) but there are often nice mark-downs. This store is not for your average shopper, average buyer. It is a step up for people who can afford that step up. Very sophisticated. This is not to say they don't also sell cards and candles and smaller, less expensive items. They do.

There are fabrics in a small shop to purchase by the yard. Some are seconds but believe me, you absolutely can't tell that. Interesting!

Our semester long project was designing t-shirts and selling them, we also decided to make hats. After doing some research my team and I decided on emulsion and we were blown out of the park with the job they did! Dave was so helpful and responsive. he made sure to work with me on getting the design just right and out to me in a timely manner. He was always listening to my suggestions helped me make sure the design looked perfect. After receiving my shirts the quality and design looked better than I thought. When my team decided to add another product (hats with our logo embroidered) I sent an email to Dave and we had a proof within the day and they were ordered in the next few. Despite recent delays they arrived quickly and we were ready to sell. I am so happy with the experience with Emulsion and if you ever have an opportunity where you need to screen print you should choose them.
