Check in took a while since the owner? had to find our reservation on his cell phone. The doors still use keys and do not automatically lock when closed (which is illegal in Iowa and Colorado). The tub had long black hairs in it and the bottom was gritty with a ring - so I cleaned that! The tops of the headboards and air conditioner were covered in dust. The in-wall air conditioner sounded like a truck coming through the room when it would kick in. I will never stay here again. Instead, try the Cisco Inn.

We spend most of our time at my grandmothers house so we really only sleep in the rooms. There aren't many hotel/motel options in Cisco and we visit often because I have family here. They have a really cool flat bed swing in the middle of the complex that my son loves to swing on. If you have younger kids ask the front desk to block the one "bad" channel on your TV selection so the kids won't flip past it while surfing up and down the dial. You'll still be able to view that channel if you so desire you'll just have to press the channel numbers instead of being able to get to it by hitting the up/down button. They have free Wi-Fi, just ask the front desk for the code. ***Bonus fun fact*** Cisco, Texas is home to the 1st Hilton hotel. It's now a museum located on the north end of town. Go check it out when you're in the area.

Great food (had eggs Benedict one morning and it was fantastic and Philly Cheesesteak with fries for dinner which was also great). They said they make the fries in house and they were really good. Had a bloody Mary one morning with breakfast and it was prepared really well. Despite it being really hot the weekend we were there, the AC kept the room very cool and comfortable. Plus taxes you would expect a lot better. And the lady serving breakfast literally frowned at me every time I walked past her. She was sitting with people, not staying at hotel. She acted like it was a problem to ask her any type of question. I have stayed here before and my only problem was my room was super hot and never cooled down. My brother lives in Ranger so we have to stay in Eastland a lot. But if this is how we are treated, I will stay elsewhere. We stayed there the night of September 27th. I asked for a manager, there was not one there that night, or the next day. I left several messages for someone to call me. But no one could take the time to be bothered. I also had to take the filthy pants downstairs, with spit cans, and bags of trash to front desk myself, because nobody could come and get them. I also had to go get my own towels and soap. I'm 73 and expect better from LaQuinta!!!

TRAVELERS WITH PETS -- BEWARE!…read more Overpriced room. Excessive pet fees. Poor value. Our experience at the Best Western in Eastland was extremely disappointing. The pet fees were outrageously high and were not clearly disclosed when we made the reservation. When we discovered the charges and tried to cancel, we were told, "same-day reservations can't be cancelled." We were also required to sign a lengthy pet-policy form that included the possibility of additional fees for violations. The room itself was bare-bones for the price--minimal lighting, sparse furnishings, and inadequate air conditioning. Adding the excessive pet fees to an already high room rate made the total cost unreasonable. Bottom line: This hotel charges too much and delivers too little. If you're traveling with a pet, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. DON'T WALK -- RUN!

Twice in sixty days I've stayed here, and overall been pleased. They've got a few problems with…read morethe building construction that are very obvious. My room quality has been plenty good enough even though I'm noticing the awning breaking in half, and doors falling off their hinges. The beds, sleep quality, linens, and overall condition are barely past new. The lady checking me in was courteous and fast. She gave me the requested room which I sure appreciated. The condition of the lobby and common areas is great. They have a shirt pocket sized swimming pool which I did not try out, but it looked good. The westward view is of a derelict home, and the former AM radio station which is some really picturesque stuff. That's beyond their control. They are trying to get around covid and still offer the guest something for breakfast. There is very little to eat in Comanche in the morning - the table service café across the street has closed. We got freezer case biscuits, muffins, granola bars, and good coffee, but there was very little protein to be found. They are trying and doing better than some major brand names where I've stayed in major cities during this mayhem. If you're coming into Comanche this is your best bet, and the staff/owners are very nice. I'll be staying there some more having work in the town, and I haven't had much bad to say about the past. Their awning is about to cave in, but they have a plan to remedy that soon.
