We always stop here when we are traveling. The restrooms are pretty clean, and the historical info is cool. The view is awesome. But the vending machine gave me a sugar loaded Dr. Pepper and not a water so that stank.

Beautiful rest stop! Pleasantly surprised at the upgrade to the new rest areas! Nice place to stop for a break from driving. Clean bathrooms! "And they smell good too"! LOL. A tornado shelter! Picnic areas. Covered picnic areas! And truckers have their own area to park as well! Way to go TX!

    Stone walls and tiles!!

Omg they had a yelp page?! But then and again why am I not surprised. This is seriously the NICEST rest stop I've ever been to! Like if you can, I highly recommend you hold your pee to come pee here! We wandered across this rest stop halfway back to Fort Worth from Abilene. It's a temperature controlled facility type rest stop with indoor bathrooms and vending machines. I think they just built this place because everything inside was brand new. The bathrooms were really clean and such a relief when you think about the kinds that are open to outside and filled with bugs. You can let your kids play on the covered playground area outside or read through the history of the "ghost towns" and local "oil booms" in the fun mini museum inside. They do a good job of making you feel safe here so it makes the perfect family pit stop during long drives. Thank god I needed to pee or I would never have known Rest Stop Heaven existed. They only let me put a max of 5 stars but just know I pushed the 5th star reallyy hard.

This is a very clean rest stop with a historical display inside. There is a person on site at this location 24-7. Safe and clean is definitely a plus when traveling with little ones and that's why I like to stop here when passing through.

Don't believe it when they say security. Not a soul around overnight. Had our trailer spare tire stolen while we slept.

Very nice rest area. It was very clean. Rest area is under video surveillance and there appeared to be a cop on duty.

This is probably the nicest rest area I have ever visited…read more I was getting extremely sleepy after an early morning departure and drive from New Mexico. This rest area appeared just before we entered the heavy traffic of Fort Worth and Dallas. It was perfect location to change drivers, take care of business, and rejuvenate before tackling city traffic for the last two hours of our drive. Parking is divided into two sections. Cars are directed to one area, and big rigs to the opposite side. You never have to worry about walking near or navigating around large freight trucks. The rest area is so inviting. The gardens around the building have a lush green lawn, lots of shade trees, well manicured bushes, and beautiful flower borders throughout. It was a pleasure to walk my dog on the wide, paved sidewalks all around the property. We both thoroughly enjoyed stretching our legs while strolling through the shaded garden. There were several covered picnic tables where you could relax outside and have a snack. Grab food from one of the vending machines inside or bring your own meal with you. Inside the building was a small museum exhibit featuring a filling station and an old fashioned car from the early 1900s. It was a welcome respite to activate your mind after countless hours of staring at the flat, featureless plains and desolate Chihuahua desert. Bathrooms envy that of the famous Buccees has station. They are clean, well maintained, and plentiful. You will never have to wait in line here. There is an information desk at the facility. No one was sitting there when I was in the building, but there were clearly workers on the property working outside, They were wearing brightly colored reflective vests and smiled and said, "Hi!" when I walked by them. Free wifi was available here too. I didn't stay long enough to enjoy this, but I'm sure others appreciated it. This was a free government provided rest stop, but it rivaled any commercial entity out there because it was (1) FREE, (2) offered the services and facilities I needed, (3) clean, (4) beautiful, (5) relaxing, (6) rejuvenating, and (7) safe. I highly recommend this rest area to anyone passing through

She is always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind--not just going through the motions. On my last visit, she went out of her way to help me with a question and made sure everything was exactly right. It's rare to see that level of care and attention, especially when things are so busy. You can tell she really cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does! Great service like that doesn't go unnoticed--definitely one of the reasons I keep coming back!

Dreams officially came true at the Fort Worth location. I was thrilled to finally take the time to experience this legendary Texas institution for myself and I think I spent an absurd amount of time wandering around the store. I looked at everything... then circled back around to look at everything a second time... though I'm pretty sure my friends were very much ready to leave long before I was. And the shopping? Dangerous!!! *Nearly* three digits later, I somehow left with a Buc-ee's t-shirt, a seatbelt cover that I just love so much, Beaver Nuggets of multiple varieties, mints, a magnet/bottle opener, a patch, and honestly probably several other things I didn't technically need but absolutely wanted. Buc-ee's seems to sell literally everything. The highlight of the entire experience, however, was BY FAR getting a photo with Buc-ee himself. Absolutely iconic! Dreams. Came. True. Beyond the novelty of Buc-ee himself, the store was surprisingly clean, well organized, and efficient despite the crowds - so many people! Buc-ee's is basically part convenience store, part gift shop, part roadside amusement park, and yet it all works. If only they had a seating area to enjoy the mouthwatering pulled pork sandwiches they were selling... Anyway, I now *completely* understand the Buc-ee's obsession and can only hope California (or even New York!) someday gets one of their own. Until then, I'll just have to cherish my photo with Buc-ee and Beaver Nuggets from afar.
