Ok. Stayed here last weekend. The room view was amazing. Needed a bit of updating and a bit worn. Liked that they checked our temp at check in. The big reason I didn't give a 4 star review 1. Front staff was a bit gruff at first but warmed up and accommodated our request (we were traveling with another) not to put us in side by side rooms. And eventually became more friendly. 2. Front desk staff didn't give us the lay of the land. Ie explaining resort, pool etc details. Or a map (apparently there was one). It was like if you asked the right question you'd get a response. 3. AC worked somewhat adequately but didn't get super cold bed was a bit hard pillows flat. 4. Patio seat cushions need replacing 5. We had called in advance of our stay -however staff never told us that restaurant reservations were needed (full and booked when we got there) or offer to make us an advanced reservation. Their website showed spa open but was closed, that there was NO pool service and note that you should plan to bring your own towel and ice chest. 6. Restaurant is more more like a 19th hole bar prob because of the golf course. It closes early. And there is limited to no table service at peak times - in fact we had to place our dinner order at the bar. Menu is very limited especially at breakfast (especially healthy options). Pass on the ribeye $32 was tough, thin and way over priced bar is pretty well stocked 7. No room service. 8. While SOME of the staff (limited) wore masks most didn't not and I didn't see any sanitizing of tables and bar while I was there. Would we be back. Yes now that we have the lay of the land. But again staff and website should provide a FAQ so new folks are aware and prepared. And if the spa isn't open. State that on your website! We will be back. B

Beautiful views, friendly people and a nice getaway not far from home! The lodging isn't a resort per say but the room was clean and cozy. Your food options are limited for late night snacks and drinks. Rooms don't have a refrigerator nor is there room service. So make sure you pack some snacks and beverages. The closest gas station closes early so a cooler is a good option. The golf was the main reason for our visit we loved the course it had beautiful views. Breakfast and dinner buffet is available at the restaurant which had a good selection. First weekend has a seafood buffet with live music on the weekends. You have to get on a boat and enjoy the view of the cliffs and go thru hells hate.

The property is gorgeous and the sunsets are phenomenal. If you are looking to get out of the city for a while and would like a place to relax this is it. Our hotel room was comfortable and clean. The amenities are varied and fun. We took a hike which was great. The trails are well kept. We can't wait to visit again soon. Added plus was the restaurant which had a great selection and the food is fantastic!

That Saturday the temperature dropped about 40 degrees and the wind starting howling fiercely. Because of the weather we didn't get to participate in any outdoor activities, so I vowed we would make a return visit. Thanksgiving week of 2025, we got to bring our daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons for a return visit to Wildcatter. I knew the ranch had been bought by a young couple about a year previously who wanted to upgrade some of the tired aspects of the ranch, so we were excited to explore all the offerings and see what had changed. The Wildcatter Ranch is set on a hill with beautiful views. There is plenty to explore so it is perfect for boys who revel in the outdoors. There is a fishing hole, there are horses in the stable to ride, there is basketball, tetherball, hiking, a pool and hot tub, and there are longhorns to feed each morning. These are all great activities we partook in. They supply guests with fishing poles, basketballs and towels for the pool. My disappointment? On both trips to the ranch, in all 3 cabins, the fireplaces did not seem to be working. (this is 3 cabins of about 12!) The hot tub that they told us we could use? Not working. The 'pony' ride for my grandson who is under 10, the age required for horse rides, that was advertised for 30 minutes? It was a 15 minute guided walk around a field on a horse. The 'hour' trail ride lasted 50 minutes. The session to 'learn grooming and care for a horse'? All three of us were literally handed brushes, told how to walk around the back of a horse, then left standing next to one horse to brush. The optional activities were a bit short on what was advertised, though both boys said their time with the horses was their favorite part of the visit. The steakhouse prices had gone up quite a bit since 2022. We can highly recommend the biscuits, however. They are heavenly.

Great amenities, and lots to do for any age child or adult. Jessica and Curtis from the staff were both very accommodating and friendly. Whether I'm playing or not, my son and I would love to come back here and enjoy the fun activities. He had a great time on the #wibbit, the bounce pad, and the splash pad, and the water gun shooting train. The campgrounds are very woodsy, with lots of shade, and the guests here are awesome! I would definitely love to come back here camp or play another show. . I can't say enough good things about this place and staff that runs it and the campers that I've interacted with while I'm here. . So much to do, and such a great environment to do it in. I want to thank all of those that came out and watched my live performance. I had a great show, and they were great audience. I always enjoy fan appreciation, and of course always enjoy a tip. But one little girl went out of her way to give me a glow stick flower that she had made. I can honestly say, that was one of the most heartfelt tips I've ever received. Definitely makes the whole thing worth it.

Jellystone Resort Wichita Falls - Such a beautiful evening at our Rv park

Today is July 24, 2025…read more I stayed here 2 nights recently. Monday-Wednesday morning. Took my 6 year old and we enjoyed the waterpark and overall it was fun for him. BUT upon initially going into our cabin (#3) I noticed a musty mildew type smell. I thought it was probably from the age on the place and it seemed clean so I wasn't too worried about it. Fast forward to Tuesday afternoon and I started scratching at what I thought was a mosquito bite on my jawline. Later that evening I noticed several more bites that I thought were mosquitos but I had not seen a single mosquito in the several days we had been in Wichita Falls... odd! Wednesday morning I had more bites, all slowly swelling and getting redder and itchier and I spotted the culprit. A BED BUG! We were having fun and considered extending our stay but after that I quickly packed and could not get out of there fast enough. It's now Thursday night and I have at least 21 nasty itchy bites on me, slowly swelling, getting redder and larger every day and I'm googling bed bugs. They are on my hand, face, arms, back, neck and shoulders. I still have new ones showing up and they may not all show up for 14 days! I told the young woman at the front desk when I checked out and she did not seem all that concerned about it. I wrote a message through the website's portal and have not received a response. I am writing this review with hopes that someone takes this seriously and does something about this. The musty smell I was smelling is typical of a bed bug INFESTATION! Wish I had known that 4 days ago! My 6 year old has a small red spot on his face and I am overwhelmed with concern that he has bites that may not react and/or show up for another 2 weeks! This place needs a serious treatment from a professional pesticide applicator and all of the bedding, mattresses, box springs, furniture probably needs to be burned! DO NOT STAY IN CABIN #3 OR ANY OF THE CABINS CONNECTED TO IT! CHECK FOR BED BUGS! If you smell musty/mildew turn around and leave! My boy had so much fun but I am so disappointed! No way we should have ever been allowed to go in that cabin! I hope no one else does either!
