It has now been over 40 days since we moved in, and we still have not been provided a gate code. While we were given a remote, that is not a reliable or sufficient form of access. I have already been locked out of the property and had to wait over an hour for someone to let me in because I did not have the remote on me. This is not just inconvenient--it is a basic access and safety issue. A gate code is a fundamental necessity and should have been provided prior to move-in, especially given that we were asked to move in early. The lack of urgency to resolve something this simple is extremely concerning. On top of that, communication has been consistently poor. There are no proactive updates, and we are forced to repeatedly follow up just to get basic information, with little to no resolution. At this point, it reflects a serious lack of organization, professionalism, and regard for tenants. If this is how basic issues are handled, it raises major concerns about how more serious matters would be addressed. I would strongly caution anyone considering renting through this company. This situation should never have been allowed to go on this long, and I expect immediate action to resolve it.

I called to ask her…read morewhy she had refunded 2 weeks of rent that was paid to her by CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program that was meant to keep me safe from being evicted in the month of August without prior authorization from the State Program or myself. Additionally, she refunded me the entire rent I paid for the month of September on the same check. She gave me a nonsense reply via email and when I called the office to speak with her, her staff notified me that I'm to email only. They said she would not be taking calls from me, email only. This woman convinced Ronaldo Beltran, the new/green property owner of the apartments I live in, to illegally evict me for being an "Unauthorized Tenant." Even though Ronaldo applied for and was granted $8,400 in CA State funds, stating to Rent Relief Case Manager Edson Leiva that I was his "tenant" and that "no written lease exists between us" during his interview. Even though I'd lived here over a year when Ronaldo bought this place in 2021 and over 2 years when Marina became the property management company... the UD filed September 1st 2022 stated that I was an unauthorized tenant and had a lease dated 2016 attached which was unsigned by me. The 2016 lease is the same lease I talk about in a previous review. It's the same one that Marina and their attorney Thomas R. Healy had edited to show only 1 authorized tenant instead of the 3 authorized tenants that were actually named. The 2016 lease was written by Lea Pannell and is not even close to being the most recent lease signed at this address. The most recent lease signed for this address was written by Lea Pannell and was executed in April of 2020. This woman and her attorney have both owned businesses in Vallejo for 20 years. Can you imagine the amount of lives they've ruined along the way? I would find every single client they've ever had, every single one, and I would interview them about their experience with the corresponding business. An investigation should take place, this is not the first time they've done this, they did it too well. The photoshop on the doctored lease, it was flawless. Well, almost flawless. They didn't count on me obtaining the original which read all 3 names instead of just the 1. What kind of business tells their client to do something so incredibly wreckless? I have kids, a special needs child... something so effing heartless? WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS WOMAN?! Not the kind that you want managing your properties and most definitely not the kind you'd want collecting your rent. Vallejo, this one's for you. If you meet her, run. Usually same day or next day. The maintenance guy or vendor reaches out to you directly so scheduling is much easier than going through the property management as a middle man. They always reach out quickly and get the problem resolved. To me that reflects highly on Laurie that the vendors she contracts with are also very professional and efficient. She's not just going with the cheapest vendor around. They're also not stingy about maintenance. I've contacted them before about things like a very high up curtain rod falling down and they were willing to help us even though I'd understand if that wasn't on their realm of responsibility. My particular property was a six month lease and she allows two pets. No monthly pet rent and a refundable pet deposit! Now that is rare. This may depend on the homeowner and their preferences. I highly recommend Laurie Nesci! Literally no complaints about my experience.
