There's plenty of seating, and my girlfriend and I sat outside on the patio which overlooks Westfield's town green. Super pleasant and calming atmosphere. I got the Nitro Cold Brew (only $3.75!) and it was crisp and refreshing, with notes of roasted walnut, caramelized sugar, and vanilla bean. My girlfriend got the Rosemary Lavender latte, and while it was a little expensive at $5.25, it more than made up for it in flavor. My goodness was it delicious, and who knew those two flavors complimented each other so well?! Circuit Coffee pays tribute to Westfield's rich history in many ways - for example, right above the coffee bar on the wall rests an authentic Westfield-made Columbia bicycle manufactured in the 1950's (Columbia Bicycle opened up a manufacturing plant in Westfield in 1934, stimulating Westfield's economy after The Great Depression.) Also, Circuit Coffee's coffee bar is made from hardwood salvaged from the locally-famous Romani family Candlepin Lanes that once stood around the corner on Church Street. I grew up going to that bowling alley as a kid (had my 2nd grade birthday party there), and while it's tragic that it's no longer standing, I'm happy that it's living on in some form. Owners Ted and Jessica Dobek were working at Circuit when we visited and they are both class-acts. Ted introduced himself, let me film and take pictures, and he told me more about his business and how they are integrating themselves into the community. Plus, Ted was grinning ear-to-ear at the site of a new bike rack that was being installed the morning of our visit. I can't recommend this place enough. The taste of the coffee is genuinely not good, at all. It has the taste of instant coffee. I have gotten coffee here 4 times in the last 3 years. The last 3 times I thought, ok let me give it another try, because I want to like it! I just do not. Also, the hours are horrible and they closed on Sunday, what kind of coffee shop is closed on a Sunday? Weird. This place is so cute, it has a very European feel to it. I love the decor and feel inside. It is relaxing they have nice music playing. I am pretty positive the owners are Christians, around my age or younger so good for them! They've created a nice atmosphere for their customers. A lot of products are locally sourced. You can tell they take pride in their coffee shop. There's a lot of people working on their laptops and hanging out with friends. They have gender neutral bathrooms, a nice space to hang outside during nice weather. It is easily accessible for handicap people. If you want exceptional quality, this is the place. I love matcha lattes and circuit is one of the only small spots I've gone to which doesn't have powder clumps at the bottom. Their baked goods are heavenly. I had a cheddar jalapeno biscuit. Which was so buttery, delicious, and had such a nice crispiness to the bottom. I always leave satisfied and impressed. Coffee confession: I know and followed Ted, the owner and master barista at Circuit, from when I first met him at a small coffee shop in West Hartford, Connecticut to this (his) shop. I know you're now thinking, "This is a biased review then," but honestly it's not by any means. With the exception of going down to the southwestern shoreline of Connecticut and into New York state, I have sampled multiple cups of lattes from all of the local artisanal coffee places around and I can say with firmness that Circuit has the best coffee and the most delicious flavored lattes in the greater area. What sets it apart from other coffee shops, especially in this area where a local spot to sip craft coffee is desperately needed, is the time and care Ted takes with selecting the coffee itself as well as with other details of the drinks, the baked goods, the local products sold, and the shop itself. I pointedly make the trip from home to Westfield because I love these lattes and this shop. I always have to try Ted's latest seasonal flavor, because I trust his taste buds, and I'm never let down. A notable seasonal flavor for the fall/winter transition time was vanilla cardamom, so distinct and unlike any other flavor out there; it was perfect. Not to be set aside are the classics--a maple latte with local maple syrup (it's perfect, so don't hesitate if you it's weird to have maple syrup in your coffee instead of on pancakes with your coffee separate for breakfast), and a mocha, with the chocolate syrup made in house by Ted's wife, Jess. I've had many mochas--including in the shop I first met Ted in--and this has to be the best I have ever tasted in all of my coffee adventures. I'm impressed and cannot get enough of it. It's always a go-to for me here, though sometimes I'll get sidetracked with trying new and appealing drinks. My advice: GET THE MOCHA. Another small piece of advice: GET THE CINNAMON BUNS. Ted's talented brother (talent apparently runs in the family) makes them from scratch and they are absolutely yumminess in every bite. I can't even. I've never encountered a cinnamon roll that doesn't make me regret having it later on until I met these lovely rolls. They are perfect in size, perfect in flavor, and just a perfect treat to enjoy with your coffee. I don't care if you're full or if you just want coffee--GET ONE. Sometimes there are seasonally flavored ones, too, like gingerbread around holiday-time--yeah, I know you want one and you're drooling slightly after reading that. Oh, and have I mentioned the shop itself? It's such a beautiful shop, renovated skillfully from another type of business that was open years ago. If you look around the shop now, you can find some pictures of Ted and Jess (newlyweds--so sweet) as well as cool decorations like a bike on the wall near the espresso machine or small earthy plants on each table. Any graphics you see--including the massive message of positivity outside on the wall of the shop--is done by Ted, too, as he's a graphic designer. (I told you talent runs in this family.) Inside, there's also a counter under the stretch of windows on one side of the shop and a small walk-down sitting area with comfy chairs near the main set of windows at the front of the shop. It's exactly the kind of place you'd meet your friends or just to do some work and hang out by yourself. The atmosphere is ridiculously comfortable and airy, so it's a place you want to stay for a bit. There's not a bad seat in the house filled with a good amount of seating, though I can imagine that the shop is packed at peak times, especially with a college nearby and with coffee lovers like myself hunting around the area for the best drinks. And chances are, when you visit, you'll be able to have your espresso drink crafted by Ted himself, as he is always in or somewhere near his shop during working hours. What other owner makes that kind of time and is dedicated to his work like that? I saw Ted had a talent in crafting mochas way back when, and it's clear that he has talent in running his own business now. Circuit is, without a doubt, a place you need to check out. Put it on your cup list--a bucket list of sorts for coffee, as I have devised--because you don't want to miss out on tasting such talent and care. read more

Finally an actual coffee place in Westfield! I'm so excited to have somewhere to go other than Dunkin and Starbucks. I was a little nervous that it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but I just stopped in today and it was AWESOME. The space is very nice with lots of seating. Everyone was very friendly. And best of all, my pour over coffee was great! I was also tempted to try the blueberry lavender shrub soda and the maple latte on the menu, but those will have to wait for another time. Been wanting to try this place since it opened I just haven't made it over. I was off and made the trek across Westfield to check it out on a cold dreary day. It's much smaller in size than I anticipated based on the photos. Maybe 20 to 25 seats max. Counter service was quick and my husband and I both had the nitro cold brew which was served in canning jars. A bit too hipster for my taste but the coffee was excellent. Had our son with us and we tried the lemon cranberry cake. Fresh cranberries and very moist! Naturally he devoured it without hesitation. I'd like to come back and check out their breakfast sandwiches. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare if there's nothing on street available. Fortunately we know the area fairly well and were able to find another spot nearby. Looking forward to coming back soon! read more

I just love how beautiful this coffee shop is. I can stare at their gorgeous hand-painted tile ceiling for hours. They have comfy couches, bar seating, and regular table seating, plus high chairs, so there's something for everyone's seating preference! There's lots of lights and tons of plants and reclaimed wood furniture - it's just a bright, beautiful, peaceful space. And oh right - they sell things :) Their pastries are extremely fresh and delicious. My favorite is the burnt sugar cookie, but I've had nothing I wouldn't recommend. I'm not really a coffee person (ha!), but I've liked what I've had, though it is a tad pricey. I don't live anywhere near there, or I would come more often, but I'll make the trip when I have extra time and I want a lovely space to relax or work. read more

Coffee was good. This coffee shop was nice and busy, right in the center of Westfield. With there being several people there and every table full, I was able to place my order and received it quickly. Staff was friendly and the cashier even explained the seasonal flavors and made great suggestions. I ended up getting the "sweater weather" flavor and another one that had a hint of orange to it. Best espresso ever! It's as experience! They serve it in 3 steps- sparkling water to cleanse the pallet, then the super strong espresso, then a slice of caramelized clementine. I too love a good coffee shop. Circuit Coffee fell a bit short of the "good" mark for me. Here's the story: We walk in (two customers), note all the patrons, most with laptops, seemingly content. CC was crowded at 1:00pm. Good sign? Approach the counter and say hello to a friendly young man with a big smile. Nice. Can he help me? Sure! I'd like a large coffee. He says, "We only have one size." Okay. I'll have that size. Decaf please. He walks over to a coffee grinder, looks inside, and says "we don't have any". (NOTE: this is a COFFEE shop) Okay. I'll have regular coffee. And he says, "Is this for here or to go? Oh. well, I guess it's to go cuz there aren't any empty tables." I look around the shop and of course there were singleton empty chairs, all at tables filled with people chatting, on their laptops, hanging out. I see I would have to share a table. Naw. I'll take that coffee to go. HOWEVER - I am there with a friend who is on crutches. There has been ZERO help in creating a space for him to sit - zero. Here you go, dude - take your coffee - can you carry the cup in your teeth? You will have to go! And now, how was the coffee? Well, mine was quite good. My friend's Americano was weak, not good. The barista poured a shot of espresso into their one-size-fits-all paper cup, filled nearly fully with hot water. Ugh. Will we return to CC? Not until the shop establishes a policy that limits hanging out at tables to those who are actually drinking or eating the store's food. The coffee was good or better, the barista was friendly - but the place really looked like the campus center of a college, a place where people can simply congregate and hang out and take away space from patrons who are actually willing to pay for something that includes a seat at the table. . read more
