Very tasty turkey sliders with avocado and sauce. Pomegranate lemonade, very refreshing and not too sweet.

I found the food truck at Mesa's Beer Fest. Quick service and delicious sliders! The turkey was moist and tender. The pomegranate lemonade was delicious, refreshing on a warm Saturday afternoon without being too tart or too sweet.

Best food and best people! Their menu just absolutely sounded the best at the food truck Friday event but I was on a grad student budget so I decided to get the pomegranate lemonade. When they asked if I wanted anything else I told them my wallet wouldn't allow it this trip around. The sweet ladies were so kind and whipped me up one of their bacon cheeseburger bombs anyways! 1. I'm so glad they did because that was true best dang cheeseburger I've ever had and 2. It turned my, what I thought was a crummy day, around! I will certainly be sending people their way! Thank you two again!

The owners were very nice people. The duck was ok. Not bad, just a little bland and non-descript. I would still try their other items.

For $16, you get four mixed empanadas of your choice. That's a good deal, I think. But, the empanadas were on the smaller side. The owner was very friendly and informative and let us know these empanadas are made in the Columbian style. She also mentioned she lived in Mexico for many years and learned to make empanadas the Mexican way and combined some of those flavors also. The empanadas I had were all very tasty and I liked the salsa verde that came with the empanadas. I had the traditional (had a kick to it) and arroz con pollo. I gave Sherpa the calentado and chorizo ones, but no report back if they were good lol. My only gripe here is that the empanadas were a little more greasy than I usually like. On their website and in photos, they say their empanadas are air fried, but I think I recall seeing oil fryers outdoors yesterday. I try to keep fried foods to a limit as I don't always feel great after eating a greasy meal. And I have to maintain a svelte physique, just kidding there. Diabetes and heart disease run in my family, so I am very mindful of what I put into my temple. I also ate these after climbing as there is no way I could have had these empanadas in my stomach prior. Also interesting is that the vegetarian and vegan ones were kind of food color green. I guess you need to be able to differentiate them, but the color was off-putting. I'd give this place another try but would prefer baked empanadas. I love empanadas, just please hold the grease.

Because everything is OK, it's "not bad" if you're hungry and you need to get dinner without spending a ton. The main issue is that the food is not hot by the time you get to eat it, and the second is that it's dried out and overcooked about 50% of the time. I'm not a huge fan of really sweet BBQ sauce and I understand that most of the people that come here probably slather a ton of BBQ sauce on the meat, but meat should taste good on its own first. Too often it is too dry - I had the pulled pork Wed and the Brisket Thurs, I've had just about everything on their menu. The only meat that's consistently tasty is the hot links. Why is it often dry? I don't know. Overcooked? Left out too long? I'm not a BBQ expert so I can't explain. But I can address the reason that it's cold: I've watched them pretty carefully, and while the staff is always very nice, the issue is that when you order the specific meat you want, especially if it's chopped brisket, i.e. if it's not sitting right up front at their assembly counter, they have to shout out to another guy who comes along and gets your chopped brisket meat ready for you. He chops it up, puts it out in the open air, while the first person moves your tray along the assembly line getting other things like coleslaw broccoli beans etc. -- then you get rung up and they offer you a drink, by the time all that happens, you pay, tip, etc, your meat has probably been sitting 3 to 5 minutes and by the time you get your drink filled up and your silverware and you get situated at your seat -- all of your food is cold. The metal trays are apparently not heated, and I'm not sure if that's part of the problem either, but it just reminds me of why, at almost every full service restaurant, as soon as they set the plate down in front of you, the first thing they always tell you is...(go ahead and guess)... "be careful the plate is very hot". That is important. So if they could somehow figure out a way to make the meat consistent and a little bit less dry, and if they could figure out how to deliver the meat to you while it's still hot, (heat the metal tray? cover it after it's assembled? a microwave at every table?) I would give five stars.
