It's jus a good store and I always am near this location when I'm stomping around Tempe for errands. It has lots of drinks, ice machine always works and gas pumps on both sides. It's just good, well laid out and guts always hold the door for me going in and out. Something about this location is charming. Lots of working people passing thru and taking care of business. You pull in and immediately have to pick a lane and commit. There's a bit of strategy to it. You're watching cars, guessing who's about to leave, inching forward like everyone else. That said, it runs smoother than you'd think. People generally know what they're doing. Once a pump opens, things move. No one's hanging around too long, and the whole line sort of breathes forward in waves. Pumps are clean and everything works without a hassle. Tap your card, fuel up, done. No surprises, which is exactly what you want. Getting out can be a little annoying depending on how crowded it is. It's not chaos, just a bit tight and awkward when everyone's trying to leave at the same time. Four stars because it does its job really well, you just have to be willing to deal with the crowd. I was like wtf so I said "how's it going" and he said he needed to see ID. Ok so first off I'm 27 and a. Dude with a bunch of tattoos and a beard don't think i look 20. But even if thats the case ask for my ID. Why are you just staring like a weirdo. Awkward as hell. Then today I go in there, I walk in and without glancing at the register I stop at the front to look at some lemonades I had never seen before and decide I wanted a Powerade so I head to back and this dude b lines it back there , he's wearing regular clothes so I thought he was a customer at first, he is pretending to look at alcohol, it really just seemed like I was planning on stealing and was watching me how he came to the very back of the store and was just fiddling with stuff. He walks up from behind me and is talking to me in some condescending tone like he prevented me from stealing or something. Food 5/5 I like the road trip snacks, nuke and go items but my main purpose for stopping in is for my Monster Drinks Service 5/5 I always had friendly service here. The only thing they could do to improve would be to grab my Monster out of the cooler for me LOL. Atmosphere 4/5 The store is well stocked and a popular stop while gassing up.
