She got everything fixed so fast, even with all the many projects, she was obviously juggling. Thank you Murphy's and especially Laura, for making all the weird start to that long work day, actually begin with exemplary customer service and a good laugh. You will never know how much your positivity, amid my dark energy day, meant- and turned everything around.

This Murphy Express offers ethanol free. However, over the past 6 months or so the pumps have been brutally slow. It practically drips out of the hose. This is especially nice when it is 5 degrees outside. So I head into the store and asked the attendant if she knew the pumps were running slow. She says yes. She explains to me this is because when it is cold outside, the ethanol free gas in the ground freezes and doesn't pump very well. I was so completely dumbfounded by this explanation, I just left. I know it's cold and it feels like it's -70.... But it's not. Sure glad the fuel in the tank didn't freeze today. I'd better go get the car in the garage before it does.

Check out staff is always friendly and even try to crack jokes to get their customers to smile. Once, in the drive-through pharmacy, the clerk dripped my driver's license into the mechanism that extends from the building to pass items through the building's wall (like a bank teller's drawer). Instantly they had three employees on the task of digging it out. They sent another employee out to informed the backed-up pharmacy drive-through line as to what was happening and redirected them inside. They labored relentlessly for about twenty minutes before taking my phone number and promising to give me a call as soon as they recovered my license. Sure enough, as soon as I get home (a 3 min drive) my phone rings and they inform me that my license has been found. I drive right back and the presented me with a $20 gift card to apologize for inconveniencing me. They took a stressful situation and rocked it! Thanks!

For at least the past year I've been able to get beautiful, dark-yolked eggs for $3.99 or less, even when other grocery stores were charging way more because of avian influenza-induced egg shortages. I'm sure it's a loss leader, but like the Costco rotisserie chickens it gets me in the door to spend money on other things. In general it is a pleasant shopping experience now that I know the store layout - it doesn't seem to get as crowded as other grocery stores and their staff are always nice. My one quibble would be with stocking of sale items - they often seem to be sold out and/or limited selection.
