Came here after driving up the street from a different Murphy Express that was closer to I-20 (yes,…read morethe other Murphy Express that closed off it's restrooms and wouldn't allow any customers to use them). The four of us used the restroom here and looked at the various snacks and drinks. I asked one of the employees what the differences were between the slushies (or slurpees) and the frozen ices. To me, the brightly colored semi-frozen drinks looked like they were the same as they were in the vending machine that constantly swirled them around. The employee looked at me like I was wasting his time and said, "I've worked here for years and I've never had any of them, so I don't know what the differences are!" You would think that someone selling these things would learn a little something about them in the many years that he's worked here, but nope! About two minutes after that, the same employee yelled to one of his co-workers who was near the entrance, bellowing, "DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE IN THE STORE!" Anyone still in the store was allowed to leave, though ... Oh! It was closing time at 11 pm, and grumpy wanted to get the heck out of here. After taking our turns in the restrooms, we bought a slushy and a bag of spicy beef jerky. While we were paying at the cash register, the grumpy and tired employee, who had locked the front door and was on the inside ensuring that the only people going through the door were four of us, was now yelling at some woman who wanted to come inside. The employee kept yelling, "WE'RE CLOSED, MA'M! WE'RE CLOSED! to her". As we walked toward the door, grouchy unlocked the door and glared at us as we walked out. The snack and drink was good. The customer service was just absolutely horrible! Don't come here at closing time, because one of the employees will be a grouch.

We can, have and will continue to drive away from destinations, all in an effort to get to one as we did today. And I'm not saying that I'm subscribing to this notion, however this Circle K was quite the place to stop to gas up and make some roadstop purchases. Sandwiches, fixings bar, ice cream, large soft drink dispensers -- all sparkling clean, all modern all well maintained. Snacks galore from cookies to power bars, chips, dips -- if you could name it, they likely had it.

Thank goodness there was toilet paper and soap or I might've added vomit to the floor's collection of bodily fluids. Too bad I had to "go" so bad or I might've saved myself the exposure all together. Harbison is always busy, and there is no turning left out of this station. The pumps have been recently upgraded to the new electronic screens, which adds more security to credit card payments. The store itself is pretty small, but it has a lot of variety of snacks and drinks. The area around the pumps was clean, and the trash cans were not overflowing.
