On Mother's DayI was traveling to Florence SC with my family and we stopped at1:15 am to get gas snacks and use the bathroom. I went to ladies room and came out and we were choosing snacks. A redheaded white female cones and asks me if I was just in the ladies room I said yes why? She said you left ghe water on. I said well I'm sorry most faucets turn themselves off. It was a innocent mistake. Then she says in front of my husband"I don't know why you people always leave the water on. You people? I said what do you mean by you people?I have dark brown skin and my husband is African American so this really pissed me off. I told her I am a vet and my dad did 2 tours in Nam so you have no right to speak to me like that. This staff member is rude and very racist.I cannot believe she had the nerve to say that to ANY CUSTOMER! She was very close to havig the worst night of her life. If she really feels that way about other ethnicities she does not need to be dealing with the public. read more

Terrible customer service. They want you to shop... spend your money at top dollar and ring yourself up with two people working and they look at you like you're crazy. so something that takes 3 minutes takes 25 instead. Not fancy but utilitarian First time I stopped here was last week. On the way to an outside lab for some contract work and the gas gauge was getting low and this was just off I-20. Gas prices were reasonable and slightly below the average for the area. No problems with the pumps and with the number of pumps available, no waiting. Quick trip to the restrooms was OK. Nothing fancy but clean. If I had wanted to get a quick bite, that was available also not at this time. Quick on and off from I-20 makes this place very convenient. Not as modern as some of its competition up and down this stretch of US Hwy 601 but they make up for it in the service aspect. Would recommend to anyone. read more

After about a 4 hour drive I stopped at this gas station to gas up, stretch, and use the bathroom before driving another 4 hours to our destination. I use the bathroom and as I'm washing my hands the janitor walks in and goes into the stall I finished using then proceeds to ask "did you do this?!" I look and see she has the pad/tampon garbage open. I said "no I didn't do that" and continue washing my hands. This woman starts going on a rant and says she wishes she can just choke me because of how disgusting I am for doing something I confirmed I didn't do. All this in front of my family members and other women who are trying to use the bathroom. I once again told her that wasn't me but she doesn't listen and continues to humiliate me. I am not even sure how to rate this. The actual store portion was fabulous. My issue is that Subway. I went there on 9/25 enroute to Florence. There were 3 people working. Didn't get the name of the two who prepared the sandwich but Mandy or Mindy. Nose rings. How do I know this, because she had a mask on touching the sandwiches to ring them up with her mask below her nose. The other young attendant noticed that I was really looking at her intently and I saw her motion to her to correct herself, She did, for two entire seconds. Went to pilot in hardeeville,SC. The Dunkin coffee had the consistency of tea. I handed the cashier$2.00 for a $1.88 cup of coffee and after she took it she told me "sorry I have no change". So I paid $2.00 instead of $1.88 read more

I always stop here to fuel, beverage and potty before hopping on I 20. The restrooms are always clean and well stocked. There is a subway and a Dairy Queen inside. The staff is generally friendly and get you in and out quickly. Lots of coffee, soda, and snack choices make it a great place to get you ready for a road trip. I've been coming here for years and never had anything to complain about. It's a good stop. read more

I have been a customer of this Pilot for over 7 years and when I started going here before work it was very clean always fresh coffee and well run. In the last 3 years management and staff has a Continual Turnover no one is trained not friendly they run out of coffee, creamer the coffee bar is very dirty staff is mostly young unfriendly young women interested in flirting with the truck drivers and not concerned about the other costumers. Don't go here it is a waste of time and money who runs out of coffee at 6:30 On a Friday morning. read more
