I have been going to this store religiously for almost three years. Some times two three times a day. Tonight I went in to get my regular morning coffee and lunch snacks for the morning but also to cash a money order I had bought from this location a few days ago. I got to the counter and filled out the money order and handed it to the employee behind the counter, when he looked set it and told me they don't cash money orders. I knew he hadn't been working there a long time, so I informed him that I bought it from there and that they do accept money orders for a fee. He insisted they don't and wouldn't accept it, causing me to get frustrated with the situation, so as I was taking my debit card out I said, "ridiculous" and that I would be discussing this issue with the manager. He rudely said " yeah you do that, I said " I will. " I proceeded to pay for the items while being more and more frustrated with this man's conduct with me. The conversation continued, resulting in this "employee" yelling at me and "banning" me from this store. He clearly didn't read his hand book because you can't ban customers for doing nothing at all. It's not the customers fault that this employee doesn't know what he can and can't do behind the counter nor is it my fault the he's not trained properly. While I was being yelled at by this employee, I pointed out that he was yelling at a customer, which he then said he was talking to me like I was talking to him, which wasn't true, and the customer behind me agreed with me when she saw me outside after I had left the store barley being able to put my card back in my wallet because he threatened to call the cops on me for what I don't know. The same customer also made the comment " He must be having a bad night. " Which is what he (the employee) asked me as I was leaving, and I responded" are you?" My night was fine until I went to this store. This man should not be in customer service, clearly he doesn't understand the concept of customer service. Due to this situation, I will at all cost try to avoid spending my money at this location especially when this employee is working, which he is the overnight shift, and I recommend others to do the same. I have reached out to the circle k website and made a formal complaint on this employee. I hope someone with some influence in this location reads this and I surly will be following up with the management as well as the corporate office. Customers are also right and should never be treated as I was treated by this employee, regardless of the situation or whether or not the customer is having a bad night or not it is the employees obligation to not engage in conflict with a customer! read more
